A very comfortable and enjoyable stay.

Alicia and her staff Camille and Sophie were kind and attentive hosts. The accommodation was excellent and the pool and gardens were a wonderful place to relax and unwind. The breakfasts were also excellent. The property is ideally situated for exploring the area, especially those interested in water sports which are available on the lake and the local resort of Lacanau Ocean. The nearby restaurant La Bucantier is highly recommended.

Ob Sonnenschein, oder Regen - magisch. Die Lage, die Betreuung, die Architektur, die Materialen der Einrichtung und das Frühstück. Am beheizten Pool eine Warmwasser Dusche. Fahrräder können geliehen werden, aber auch zu Fuss sind die Restaurants erreichbar. Und das Allerbeste: hier gibt es KEINE Mücken.

Fernseher in den Zimmern nicht nötig, könnten die Nachbarn stören.

Perfect location, facilities and staff!!

Amazing property, service and staff! Alicia and her team went above and beyond. Fantastic breakfast and all facilities were top quality. We will definitely be coming back! Perfect spot on the lake and so close to nice and relaxed restaurants

Simply wonderful

Where to start?! Breakfast in the garden overlooking a gorgeous lake. The peace and quite of being a little bit more 'away from it all'. The guesthouse (just three rooms) is like a wooden cabin and we had a room with a little kitchen. As we weren't facing the garden in our room, we had our own little secluded outdoor terrace with pathway to the garden - this was lovely. We can't tell you how great Alicia (the owner) and the other staff on site were - they were amazing. 10 minute walk to the lake beach and a couple of nice bar/restaurants and only a ten minute drive from the beach. Just brilliant.

Relaxing in a little paradise....

Alicia is a great host, very friendly and always willing to help. The views, from the terrace, were stunning and never boring. Even counting the stars during the evening/night was a pleasure. And, the swimming pool was great as well.

Beautiful paradise at the lake with very nice and friendly hosts.

Breakfast was awesome. The choice and quality were very good. Sitting in the garden with direct view to Lac de Lacanau made it double as good. Together with the very friendly personal it was perfect. The hosts were extremely nice and took care of us very much. Whenever we asked for anything, they made it possible. Rooms were pretty and the garden with the pool is a little paradise.

Eventually we had to leave to go home - we would have loved to stay for months.

Exceptional!

As the door opens, we were greeted by Alicia, the owner of the property, with a big smile and warmth! Her property and the room we stayed in were exceptional! There was so much thought that went into the design and every details. We love the plush towels and soft bed linens. The breakfast was really good and fuelled us really well for our 80km cycling. Highly recommend for anyone seeking an exceptional accommodation in Lacanau Ocean.

Superb

Excellent location and great accommodation. We especially enjoyed the garden and pool which overlooks the lake and is surrounded by pine trees. It was also great for our dog as it had direct access to the beach. The staff are also very attentive and welcoming. Highly recommend!

The WIFI signal in our room was sometimes weak

Wonderful stay at La Maison Moutchic. We loved the calm atmosphere, relaxing smell of pine trees and views of the stunning lake and garden. Breakfast and coffee in the garden in the sunshine was delightful. Thank you!

Fabulous breakfast and lovely pool - I would happily return

The pool and sun loungers were extremely welcome after cycling 70km in 37C degrees. Friendly and personal welcome from the host and her daughter. Rooms and bathrooms are smart and high-tech. Breakfast was excellent and they laid it out for the 4 of us at the table on their own personal terrace (as they felt it was too windy to for us to eat at the tables in the garden) - a personal touch which was much appreciated. There a few good restaurants within easy walking distance - take a torch if you'll be getting back after dark!

The bedding could have been better - one very heavy, stiff duvet on the bed - which was way too hot. The shower room/toilet in the "double room with pool view" is open to the bedroom so there is very little privacy. The little terrace outside the bedroom is bang next to the terrace of the other guestroom with no real barrier/partition - so there is no privacy. Next time (I'll happily return) I would book the "studio with terrace" - it has a bath (not a shower) but the bathroom/toilet are completely separate from the bedroom - and the terrace is private, even if it doesn't look out over the garden and pool; and the bedroom itself if a bit bigger. I know this because our friends stayed in this room!

Terrific guesthouse in a great location

A very welcoming host, a lovely, spacious and comfortable room with a very nice shower room and a super view over the garden to the lake. We hope to return one day and then we'll hopefully have time to use the deckchairs and swimming pool in the garden!

The perfect place to stay

Everything was fantastic! The best place I have stayed in a long time. Calm, quiet, clean, friendly, delicious breakfast and lovely scenery.

Absolutely nothing. It was all fantastic.
