The room was clean with kichen and dining facility. OK for a one night stay.
The property isn't as good as it is described.
The hot tub was not xleaned properly and had glass pieces in it.
We did bring it to the notice of the owner, however was told the deep cleaning was done only on that day.
In short, we were not very impressed.
4.0
nice decor, comfy bed
practically no shower as water pressure was ridiculously low, jacuzzi is at the most a hot tub as all functions have been disabled, hot plate didn’t work, some repairs are needed - eg tiles in the bathroom, toilet seat lose, power socket sticking out of the wall, we spent two nights and paid in advance hence had not other option but to stay 2 nights but I would not recommend

This cottage was near a horse farm and while it felt remote, it was actually quite close to amenities. We met the owners' parents who were lovely to talk to. There is a wonderful hot spring hot tub we enjoyed as well.
We didn't get the chance to eat at the Farmer's Bistro because we were too late for lunch, but it looked like it was a great restaurant. I got to get close to Icelandic Horses, which are such beautiful animals.
Not a reflection on the cottages at all.
It was off-season and restaurant options were slim to none for dinner. We ended up eating pizza at the golf course because it was the only thing open. It wasn't that good. I'd make use of the kitchenette in the cottage. There is even a grill to use.

Lovely cabin on the golden circle. The cabin is well equipped and the hot tub was lovely after a day's sightseeing.
It's really warm and cosy. I'd recommend the restaurant in Hotel Fludir too.
4.0
The beds were super comfy, the hot tub was perfect, and the location was quiet enough for us to do our own thing without worrying about disturbing others, but close enough to activities locally.
The water pressure for shower / kitchen was low based on length of pipes & location. Can't be helped, but was the only downside.
4.0
location, quiet, hot tub
not all equipment worked. owner is planning to fix soon.
4.0
The room was cozy and had everything you need.
4.0
very short distance from car park
close to the tiny secret hot tub
suitable for young couple eating out locally (i.e. smal ethiopian restaurant close by)
cabin owner very flexible.
Electric door did not lock - but icelanders are trustworthy
Missing steam vent - opened door and all windows during cooking, while watching fire detector
Not suitable for a family of four. Not a lot of moving space.

Having the hot tub at the end of a day sightseeing was very nice.

location and being very clean and well equipped
we were supposed to have two separate bed but it was one big one so I slept on the sofa
the blinds were incomplete and therefore the light was there

The location of this little place can't be beat. It is not far off the main road, but so quiet and secluded. The hot tub was such a nice little extra to have, especially after a long week of traveling. Loved having the kitchen to be able to cook up a meal. Wish we could've stayed longer.
It is a fairly small room for 3 people (we had 2 adults and a teen.)

The cottage was fantastic: quiet, private, sourrounded by nature and very close to the Secrete Lagoon. The kitchen is very well equipped.

nice, clean cabin.
everything was good. just prepare to hear some sounds/people for the other cabin next to it. shared hot tub. maybe a tv for someone , we were fine without.

The property was as it said , although it was a bit smaller than we thought it would be . it’s def made for 2 people . it was clean , modern & comfortable.
Sofa bed wasn’t comfortable but the main bed was so again very suitable for 2 but not 3. The door has a smart door locking system which for us as the weather was bad wouldn’t actually lock & kept beeping . The host was very efficient at helping us out with it but it did involve removing the batteries which wasn’t great .

very lovely and warm
the hot tub does not have jets but still good

The door was open when we got there which made it super easy to check in. It was great to experience a true Icelandic small home. The bed was comfy and the bathroom was nice.
The whole place stank of fish. Which made our stay rather unpleasant.

I think I have never stayed in such an outstanding cottage in my whole life.
We only stayed in the cottage for one night, what a pitty! Very quiet, new, comfortable and close to nature. It is on my must visit again list for the future and definitely at least 2-3 days minimum.. Equipped with everything you need and even more.. comfortable bed, well-equipped kitchen (even coffee pods, sugar..), electric kettle, dishwasher, refrigerator, radiator heating which really heats immediately if being cold, plenty of pillows so you could feel like Maharaja 😀 excellent bathroom with radiator and window.. Highly recommended :) location is great as startup location for daily trips and at the end of day looking forward to peace, bath in the hot tub under midnight sun or nothern lights (we did not try, we were short of time).. We received detail information how to get there, key info, cottage info by email. It is about 30 minutes drive from Strokkur or Gulfoss. The bonus.. We were there when sun went crazy and produced very high intensity solar storms... We spent night outside enjoying magnificent nothern lights dance ✨ which lasted hours..
Access was easy, parking was in front of the cottage.
.. it is minor.. taking garbage with us (though it was written we could drive it to some particular place).. I just do not like driving with big trash bag
.. just a note.. the cottage next to us was not occupied but it was lit inside the whole night.. since there was amazing northern lights theatre during night and we are photographers, the light from the cottage was disturbing

The most was the location (amazing), the very nice service of Dmitrii, the confort of the appartment and the nice exterior Hot tub. To sum Up, perfect.
The Hot tub has a temperature that is impossible to change. We wanted to have It a little bit hotter. Also, the complex mechanism to lock the door give us some problems but with time we solved It.
4.0
neat clean and modern
the hot tub needed to be cleaned a lot from debris and it wasn’t worth it to clean in the end
4.0
Lovely, peaceful, little place - compact but really comfortable and Dmitrii was so communicative in advance, which meant we really knew what to expect. Waking up to snow was a pleasant bonus.
4.0
The fact that we’re completely isolated and only sharing with another house. The parking is spacious and quite near the house. The access if easy and super close to one of the highlignts of the trip: Secret Lagoon. The kitchen had everything we needed, shower and bed were comfortable.

Dimitri was so lovely to deal with, excellent communication and very considerate. The bed is very comfortable and the place was spotlessly clean also. would definitely recommend if you’re staying to bring your own extra towel as you will need it after hot tub/shower.

Not too far from Reykjavik and only a 10 drive to Secret Lagoon, the property was great for some seclusion and privacy in natural surroundings. Even though there's a twin cottage a few steps away, we only saw our neighbors when they were departing in the morning.

The kitchen has everything you need.
It is located close to the secret lagoon and a good location to start the golden circle.
Bed was too soft for us.

Very nice cozy little cottage in a silent area, 5 km from Fludir. A little hideaway place.
no personal contact

Beautiful area that you can enjoy from the whirl pool
No black out curtains, rather small for 3 people

Beautiful modern cottage with all the little luxuries that makes a place unforgettable. Loved the location with peace and quite and the hot tub was a bonus.
