Best view on the Deschutes, looks just like the photos! We all loved our stay!! The Fold & Sunriver Brewing in the Village are great. Did our shopping in Bend at Costco, Trader Joes, Albertson's & a liquor store as stores only sell beer and wine. The Country Store in Sunriver, good for quick food trip but don't buy all your food there. It was difficult to store food for 16 people, no pantry, only 2 lower cabinets. A shelving unit on empty wall in the kitchen would be a nice addition so food could be easily seen and eaten. Bathrooms or bedrooms need hooks for all the bath towels 16 people use. Upstairs is really nice and downstairs is a basement. Outside area needed cleaning everywhere and should have been cleaned, mowed before our arrival. Rented float tubes for 2 days from Sunriver Toyhouse, easy, friendly & gave discount for 16 people. Did a tied up float, 5 min drive to The Big River Campground river entrance. Almost a 90 minute float right up to our dock! All loved how relaxing & quiet it was!! Everyone had a comfortable place to sleep and plenty of room for family dinners both inside and on the balcony. Mosquitos come out at sunset! Need bug spray! Took floats to do the Bend float, very fun & longer. Families loved the SHARC waterpark! House is very nice, as pictures show, but needs deep cleaning, carpets need cleaning, closets & kitchen need organizing, just helpful hints. Overall great home & location!! Jane is GREAT to work with!! Thx for ALL your help!
Enjoy!

The property is wonderful. Never got tired of the 360 view.

We held a family reunion here for 15 people. We took full advantage of the river and rafted almost every day, but were still close enough to Sunriver Village and Bend to make several outings. This home is incredibly well equipped for cooking and family game nights. It was comfortable and the caretaker was available to help us with any questions that came up. We would definitely stay here again!

We had extended family staying in the home and had an absolute blast. The place was perfect. We are definitely wanting to rent it again. The view was breathtaking, the lay out worked great for our group. Having the dock access to the river right there was so convenient- easy to float from Big River to the home, or from the home to Harper Bridge, as a couple of options. Close enough to Bend and Sunriver for the young adults to go have fun and much more relaxed than being in town. Nice to just hang out in a beautiful place!

We had a marvelous time at Mt, View Retreat. The location on the river and the incredible views of the river and Mt. Bachelor fed our spirits daily! Highlights..... Grandchildren fished daily from the dock, morning coffee on the river deck a great way to ease into the day, daily visits of a young buck and doe on the property, outdoor games of badminton, corn hole, ping pong, daily floats on the river, hot tubbing under the night skies. Thank you for providing a place for our extended family to create so many memories!

Old timey cabin vibes with super cool views and convenient location between bend and mt bachelor. Saw herds of elk up close, lots of goose annd coyotes anbd some beavers. Owners were very responsive and there was plenty of wood on site for some fires after a long day at the mountain.

The home is comfortable, cozy and nestled in between a heard of elk. Just amazing place!

The house was wonderful for our big family. The family room, dining and kitchen were perfect for games, food, and conversation. The rooms at the back, pool room and the hallway room were cold. There were issues with cleaning, no toilet paper replacements and trash under the hallway bed.
Mercedes was great about bring TP when we needed it. I wish that the front walkway and the upper deck were salted or shoveled, it was dangerous for walking as was the path to the hot tub. A railing or handhold would have helped too. We were also sad about no ping pong!

It was not very easy for all of our guests to have space to sleep as we hoped. Fortunately not everyone was able to make it.
The cleaner used was way too strong when we arrived. Caused head aches for a few.
Lots of cob webs in the down stairs
Hot tub level was low when we arrived.
Burn season was over but there was a tag above the fire place that said do not use. That was a bummer with the cold temps.
The view and property were amazing and you can’t beat the view here.
Bbq propane tank did not work. Fortunately I had my own.
Over all it was a great stay, just minor things that got over looked before our arrival

Love staying at this house along the river. Very relaxing. And beautiful views. Highly recommend.

The views and river access are unbeatable! It's difficult to find a place that sleeps this many people, so we are grateful the owners offer this unique property (we gathered to explore the area for my husband's milestone birthday trip.) Being a large house, though, does mean there are cleaning challenges. Lots of dust, and more grime that we usually see in VRBO properties. The owners could help by doing a bit of decluttering - discarding cracked/chipped dishes, reducing the fake foliage & decor items to provide some open flat surfaces (easier to clean, and gives guests places for their stuff.) And getting a dryer that doesn't take two full cycles to dry a load of towels. Oh! And if you're sensitive to smells... there are four stick-&-oil diffusers on the main floor. We found them and set them outside for the duration of our stay, then moved them back inside. Easy fix, but worth knowing as they are quite strong.

Great location, and beautiful. Cleaning needed to be better, however, would like to stay here again.

Views were amazing. Loved the deck, Dick and hot tub. Lots of room to spread out.

Almost my entire family came to Bend for a family reunion.
Beautiful location on the river. Serene and peaceful. There was room for everyone to sleep and to find quite places to rest and relax. The Kitchen was well stocked with spices and basic needs.
Plenty of dining space allowed the entire group to dine together.
The only trouble were a local wildfire that resulted in several days of smokey bad aire quality, where we needed to use our covid mask when going outside.
We would like to come back at some point.

We grew up going to a cabin, and I wanted to recapture the feeling of togetherness...but with more bedrooms! The views are absolutely stunning. The house is a little quirky in layout, but it has been thoughtfully put together in terms of how many lovely sitting areas it has in and outside. Lots of places to congregate.
I liked that there was so much cabin decor, art everywhere, quilts on the beds etc. My kids are already asking to go back.
There were a couple items that needed attention, and Jane was quick to get on it.
Glad for a memorable time on the Deschutes!

Fantastic place. Great views and accommodations

The house has a fantastic view of the Deschutes River with Mt Bachelor in the background. Most rooms have a great view.
There was plenty of room for all 17 of us to socialize comfortably inside the house. The deck down by the river is awesome.as well as the fishing dock.
Communicating with Jane was easy and she responded quickly to my questions.
We all had a wonderful time there.

We had 17 Adults and 4 children. The house accommodated us very well. Very nicely decorated interior and situated on the Deschutes River with drop dead views. The grounds were very nice as was the large deck on the river. Truly the perfect choice for large families.

The property is amazing and the layout worked out great for a family reunion. The younger folks were able to stay in the lower bedrooms and sleep till noon while the elders were up at dawn drinking coffee & chatting. The kitchen was stocked with more than we had hoped (or experienced with other rentals). It was too cold to enjoy the river but i do hope to come back in the summer! Overall a fantastic property!

Location was epic, house was big enough to fit all 14 of us. Great place.

We had a large group for a weekend ski trip to Bachelor. The house was amazing with everything we needed. We hope to come back and enjoy the area again in the summer. I would highly recommend.

We all had a great time. They found snow not too far away and spent the day snowmobiling. Plenty of room. Only thing was I kept hitting my head and the range hood.

Our group had such a blast staying here. We had 11 adults and 6 kiddos ranging from infant-5 years. The space worked wonderfully and the view to the river was spectacular. Quick drive into Sunriver (about 10 minutes) and only 20 minutes to Bend. One of the best homes for a large gathering we have been to. Jane as the property manager was phenomenal throughout the process as well!

What a wonderful place to for our family reunion and celebration of life for my late mother-in-law! We originally planned for 20 adults and ended up with 17 adults and an 18-month-old. We all slept comfortably in the seven sleeping rooms plus the bunk cabin by the river. Beds and bedding are very comfortable. The expansive lawn by the river is perfect for outdoor games. The river is not only beautiful but provided wonderful stand up paddleboarding (we brought our own). Two docks and the upstairs deck are perfect places for groups to visit or to relax outside. There are plenty of seats for dining and comfy furniture in the living room. The kitchen is well-stocked with plenty of plates and utensils for a big group. Check in and check out was very easy. The property management was very responsive and provided us with all the information we needed.
We highly recommend this property especially for large groups. We hope to stay here again some time.

Our family had a pleasant stay. The views are amazing, kids enjoyed staying in the bunk house and fishing out on the river. The river is fast flowing so they couldn’t swim though. The home was able to fit large family gatherings and you won’t feel crowded. There are plenty to do around. I recommend caving and going to the natural water slide! Overall it was great.

Enjoying cocktails on the large accommodating deck then eating collectively on the house deck while capturing the aloe glow and reflection in the river of Mt Bachelor gives you an idea Evening dances snd frolicking of deer in the backyard was a bonus. Everything you need for cooking snd entertainment is provided.

My family and I were there for a week and we enjoyed every moment of it. Starting from inside, it was nice that the house had so much utensils in the kitchen that when there were multiple of us helping one another cook, we didn’t have to wait for each other to be done using it. More than 2 bathroom plus 2 showers always helps out a lot with a big group of people. What we loved most of all was the beautiful perfect view we got outside. We loved the river where we went fishing and paddle boarding. We’ve taken so much pictures at the deck with the view of the mountain. Everything was perfect! Though Jane was out of town, she was easy to contact and talk to when we ran into trouble towards the end of our stay.

The perfect Sunriver property!!!
My group, consisting of families with children up to adults, absolutely loved this property!
With privacy away from roads, our children were able to play wiffle ball in the large front yard, adjacent to ample parking for multiple vehicles. Inside the home, we could comfortably fit everyone in for meals, activity and sleeping.
But we found ourselves in the backyard the most, eating on the deck overlooking Mt Bachelor and the river, playing in the backyard grass, or out in the water off the private dock! We also used the smaller cabin out back for the oldest children (they absolutely loved their own cabin!).
We loved this location so much we've already booked another week next year! Can't wait to be back soon!

Good times and water play
The home layout took great advantage of the river and Mountain View and the dock was a huge hit with the family members. Having deer and geese in the yard was a plus! The front lawn was perfect for yard games and the back for relaxation. We all had a great time!

70th Birthday Week
Fabulous! Exceeded my expectations! Celebrated my 70th birthday with the family - 14 adults and 6 children. The view of the Deschutes River & Mt Bachelor was breathtaking and the accommodations including the fully stocked kitchen was great!
We rented a huge raft for 10 people and several paddle boards. Loved floating down the river! So many wonderful memories! Jane, the property manager, was easy and wonderful to work with!! We will be back!

Perfect Getaway!
We stayed at this picturesque property with several other couples and their pups. The host was super accommodating to our requests and was so easy to communicate with!
The property is outstanding. We will definitely be returning, or better yet, when we decide to move here! It was that spectacular. Thank you!!

Buyer beware?
Although the property is really great and the location is pretty perfect, there's deception surrounding this rental. There's another house attached to this one with people living in it! This is a shared roof with two addresses??? All of the pictures are cropped so that you can't see the caretakers cottage attached to the residence. I was completely distraught when we arrived because I thought we had privacy and We had no idea we were sharing a house with someone. When I contacted the property manager she had the unbelievable nerve to tell me that all this information is provided in the packets. Only problem with this "logic" is that you don't get the packets until after you pay! Thanks for implying that I'm too stupid to know the difference! Very hospitable. All in all it's a great place but you NEED to know the truth and you won't get it from any pictures or the property manager. Good luck y'all!

View did not disappoint!
Our group had a great time staying at this house for a long weekend! We had a total of 15 of us and everyone was MORE than pleased. We have done this annual group trip for several years now and this is the best house we have stayed so far. Place was clean; linens and kitchen were well-stocked. The two fridges were greatly appreciated (and well-used) with all of the food and beverages. Hot tub had a great set up. Bedrooms overall were great - only the room down by the game room is less than ideal. Person who gets that one definitely gets the short end of the stick, so head's up on that one.
Backyard property was lovely and the view was amazing. We saw a herd of elk across the river one of the evenings. There was plenty of parking available to accommodate all the vehicles that come along with a large group.
The only oddity that is NOT shown in any of the photos is that the house is attached to another house - assuming this is where the property caretaker might live? That was definitely weird and something that everyone commented on when they arrived, since the proximity of this other house was literally RIGHT there. We never saw anyone, though, and it didn't impede our enjoyment of the property.
Overall, would definitely stay here again - trek up to Mt. Bachelor was easy for winter activities. Would be fun to try out in the Summer when the river and outdoor cabin could be better utilized.

Cabin with beautiful views and amenities
The cabin was awesome, and the area is beautiful! Jane was wonderful from the beginning. Super easy to get to, and everything was satisfactory. What they don’t tell you in the listing is that the care takers of the cabin live on the property. If you are cool with this information, then it’s no problem! Mercedes and Justin were fabulous and very friendly. But it’s not in any of the info that they will be there, so I don’t want future renters to be blindsided like my friends and I were. Thank you!

Wonderful Family Gathering
We recognize the gift it is to open your home for others to use and are SO GRATEFUL for a place that accommodated our large family Christmas gathering! We stay at the Mountain View Retreat with our six grown children and their families - 24 of us in all. Thus, we needed the sleeping cabin to accommodate all of us. We ended up getting a foot of snow while there, but the sleeping cabin remained warm and toasty even though the temp dropped and the air gaps in the doorway.
The sloped yard was perfectly transformed into a sledding hill, although we had to build a snow berm to keep from sledding into the river! Such fun! The bedrooms were ample enough to accommodate the various family units. We wisely took photos of the furniture layout so we could return items to their rightful place before we moved things about to accommodate our needs for space in the living room where we gathered for our gift exchange and time together. The dining room adjacent to the living room really extended the seating space for the gatherings in the living room.
We found the caretaker very helpful. He lent us his snow shovel, and his Traeger for baking as the house-oven went out. We made do with the stovetop, and the crockpot and Instapot we had thankfully brought along for a couple of recipes. (There was no crockpot onsite.) We managed meals fine, but the owners were kind enough to give us some compensation for our inconvenience.
Initially, I was taken back a bit upon entering the house through the back door as the utility room overhead fixture, the hallways and basement stairs carpets could all stand a good cleaning, and the second frig/freezer had a sign that "don’t use" and freezer was packed full. But, we did use to use the frig area and the rest of the house was in good order, comfortable, and well equipped for our needs. The house was very homey with the fireplace (plenty of wood on hand), and beautiful artwork about. It would have been nice to have window covering where there were none (the game room/bunk room nor in the queen bed suite), but we think at least the bay window in queen bedroom suite had one-way glass...? Is it privacy glass?(Someone stand outside the window and said he couldn't see in, just shadows.)
We had to resort to coat hangers and draping things in the bathrooms to dry out all the snow clothes. A wall-long board of pegs/hooks would be a wonderful addition to the back entry above the nice bench! :)
Thank you for sharing your home with others!
