One of our family's favorite vacation home rentals. The house is gorgeous and stocked with everything you could possibly need for the week. Our family really enjoyed the kayaks, wildlife on the cove, the salt water hot tub, and the game room. Spoke with 2 of the neighbors who were very friendly. Bar Harbor and Acadia only a quick 30 minute drive. Lots to do also in proximity to the house--would highly recommend the Tidal Falls Preserve for tidal pools, Lumberjack Show, and Wild Mountain Man Ray the chainsaw artist ( no longer does shows, but stop by his place and look at his art--he is quite a talker and story teller as well.Highly recommend this property, you will not be disappointed!

We enjoyed our stay here. House was clean and had something for everybody in our group.

Everything was as described or better. We had a family of 14 staying for a week and there was plenty of room for everyone. There is so much to do in the area that we wished we could have stayed for 2 weeks.

Our family travels to Maine every year and have stayed at this property multiple times. It is clean, has every amenity for young and old, Close to Bar Harbor and Acadia. We absolutely love this house. You will not be disappointed.

This is our second time staying at this property. It is very roomy, private, and clean. It has every amenity for old and young. It is about 30 minutes from Acadia NP, Bar Harbor, and Schoodic Peninsula.
It is so nice to end the day of Acadia and Bar Harbor crowds, at this well- stocked private, quiet home.
Stan, the owner, is very easy to work with.

Wonderful home, great location. One recommendation: list local tv stations and how to navigate Direct TV. Our house full of senior citizens had a very difficult time trying to figure out how to watch the TV’s.

Took a week to spend time with our daughters and explore the National Park along with our son in law and his mother.
Could not have had a better location and could not have had more room and amenities to take advantage of.

For our group with diverse ages this house was perfect. Our 4 grandchildren could have stayed at this house the entire week without going anywhere and they would have entertained themselves with all there is to do. We really enjoyed the game room, kayaks and campfire, while using this house as home base for Acadia and Bar Harbor - about a 30 minute drive. Lots of room to spread out, both kitchens had everything you need to make big meals and double washers/dryers came in handy for our large group. If you rent this property, before you bring anything check with the owner to see if he has what you need; chances are he might. Owner was very helpful and responsive with our questions. Great spot.

My husband and I have stayed at this home five times now, and love it every time we come! Stan and Theresa continually make improvements, and we find the property to be impeccably clean! We have come with different sides of the family, and everyone is always so impressed with the property. We first started coming with my husband's family when we were newlyweds, and now we have two little ones (4 years old and 7 months) of our own! The playground and playhouse are now used daily, but there are still plenty of fun adult activities (like the hot tub) for us and guests when our littles ones go to bed. We also love the amount of spaces in this home, so that people can have some alone time when needed. Yet, there is ample seating for our large groups which I find is not the case at all rentals that allow larger groups. We could all sit together for movies in the living room (recliners are amazing!), or all play games together in the evening at the dining room table. We hope to continue coming to this home in the future! Thank you Stan and Theresa for another wonderful vacation week in Maine!

The house was amazing! They had every possible appliance you could possibly need. The kitchens were very well stocked and even had spices.
The host was very responsive and nice to talk to. The check in/out process was the easiest I have ever dealt with. Would highly recommend!

Clean and well maintained home. Perfectly suited for family get-togethers. Plenty to do inside and outside; no detail missed. Well equipped kitchen, extra LP gas for the grill, starter firewood; owners thought of everything. They are always available to answer questions. Just wonderful. Won't hesitate to rent again if in the area.

The space and accommodations were amazing. We were blown away by all the utensils and comfortable seating. Plenty of places to put up your feet and read. Deck was great, and so were the games and kayaks. It would be nice if some of the appliances were listed. We brought a couple griddles and a crockpot, but all that was supplied. We really just needed ourselves! Great place!

The property was perfect for our family of six adults, we enjoyed everything it had to offer. Many ping pong and pool championships over our week as it rained the entire time we were there. We were able to use the kayaks twice, enjoyed a nearby waterfall by kayak.
Saw deer and two red foxes from the porch.
The property was close to the Arcadia National Park.
Thanks so much.

The owners are super super nice
We had a problem with the one tub was cracked from renter’s before us and Stan was out within a hour to fix the tub and repaired the crack
They also supply so much extra stuff that is needed like garbage bags and paper towels and dish soap
So it is a joy to rent from them and the location and hot tub and kayaks are all there so it is like family wonderland for my family
Stan and his wife are super to rent from

We came for a week with our adult children. The setting is gorgeous, right on the water and surrounded by beautiful trees. Waking up in the morning and looking out at that view was just heavenly! The kitchen was well equipped and we enjoyed using the grill and the fire pit outside. The deck was a beautiful place to sit and have coffee. We liked that there were enough king beds for everyone. The owner was very responsive to whatever questions we had. Check in and out was easy. This house is a great spot for being with family and going into Acadia and Bar Harbor!

We chose this house because it was wheelchair accessible and more than large enough for our family group, gathering for a rare get-together from various parts of the country. Hurricane Ian, unfortunately, kept my sister—who is confined to a wheelchair—and her husband from joining us and at first we felt a little lost in that large space. A local niece and nephew and their families were able to come join us for some meals, though, and at those times that great big house got to fulfill its purpose! The kids (teens mostly) and some of us older folks had a ball with the pool table, ping-pong table, and hot tub and the house was filled with laughter. Many great memories were made. The house is in a beautiful location. I especially enjoyed the gorgeous, peaceful views. The Wilburs obviously put a lot of thought into providing comfort and entertainment for everyone in this property. We appreciated Stan’s prompt responsiveness when, at first, we had trouble figuring out how to work the remote for the big tv in the living room and his patience when we inadvertently left a load of clothes in one of the dryers and drove off with the garage remote and had to meet, after checking out, to make the exchanges. We were all grateful for the opportunity to gather in this delightful spot.

Our stay centered around visiting Acadia. Both Bar Harbor and Schoodic Peninsula were on our agenda. Both were easy, scenic drives from this location.
We knew we wanted to bike, hike and kayak. We needed to walk no further than the back yard to kayak once a day. Instructions are clearly written up in a binder in the office with the handy tide clock. We usually planned our outings around the tide so we could kayak each day and visit the seal ( from a distance) on the house side of the island. Remember if you're going to Thunder Hole the best time to be there is high tide.
We checked out close by attractions too, Old Pond Railway Trail which had a storybook feature. It's good for hiking but not bikes or strollers. Across from the entrance is Hancock Town Hall and just up the road is the house from the Pet Semetary movie. The Downeast Sunrise Trail is 5 miles away from the house. Wish we'd checked it out before our last day, we just had time for a short hike. It would have been great to bike or ATV.
There's so much to eat, see and do at the house itself or close by.
Speaking of food, Ruth and Wimpy's has delicious seafood. The two in our group that didn't order seafood weren't really happy with their meals.
We had a couple of homecooked seafood boils at the house. They have a pot big enough for a gang.
We had no intention of using the hot tub but after taking a look it was irresistible.
You can't imagine the beauty of this place after dark. The stars reflect in the water on a calm night, the glowing bonfire and the hot tub light display.
Admittedly we spent more time outside the house than in but if you happened to get rained in it would be very enjoyable. Games, ping pong, pool table, a TV for everyone.
We didn't use the second kitchen but what a bonus if you have a large group. Two laundry rooms and three baths.
We couldn't say enough good things about the way the house is set up for enjoyment. We had to protect some objects from our 3 year old. All that required was putting one of the heavy dining chairs in the way. We brought cups and plates for him but that was totally unnecessary, they are prepared for toddlers.
Thanks for sharing your house with us.
It was obvious to all of us that you want your guest to be comfortable and have fun. If it weren't for airline delays it was the perfect vacation.

The property exceeded all expectations. We had the best vacation ever and hope to come back. Even a wet rainy day didn’t ruin the trip because the house was so comfortable that a day inside was great.

This was a great place to reconnect with friends and relax but have plenty to keep the kids busy. It was close enough to Bar Harbor for day trips but a perfect slice of Maine atmosphere for staying at the house to kayak and canoe

This property is great for family vacations for those who want it all. Plenty of space to spread out. Very clean inside & out. Location is perfect, 30 minutes from Bar Harbor, on the water with beautiful views. Would highly recommend & we will definitely be renting this property again!

This was a wonderful home for a large group. The owner was fabulous and helped us out many times. We highly recommend this property for a great vacation near Acadia National Park or if you just want to hang out at this home the entire time the home and surrounding area has enough to do for your entire group.

We were a group of 9 total, 8 adults and 1 child. Everything in the home is well appointed, easy to find and well maintained. You can tell from the moment you enter that this is an experience. The view from the home is incredible at all times of the day. The house was comfortable for all of us and had everything we could want or need for our week. We were so blessed to be able to use this beautiful home and plan to be back for sure!!

Spacious paradise
Great location outside the busy Bar Harbor scene but very conveniently located to Acadia. Lots of amenities for the family. Teens and young adults had their own space downstairs. Peaceful location on the water. We had an action packed week in Acadia and only had one occasion to kayak and enjoy an evening campfire. Would definitely stay here again

Maine family gathering
Property was great. Plenty of room for 11 of us, King beds too. The location was super right on the creek. Kayaks were provided and we used them nearly everyday, even found a seal island. Proximity to Bar Harbor and Arcadia was perfect for us, about a 30 min drive. Provisions for everything were provided, we needed for nothing. Also the games room facilities were a great hit. Clearly we loved it.

Wonderful House/Great Hosts!
This was our family's second time staying in this wonderful house. Very comfortable and VERY clean. Plenty of towels. Two kitchens! Which was a blessing for our family as we have two family members with celiac disease and we were able to maintain one of the kitchens completely safe and gluten free. Everything you could need for cooking is available in the kitchens. Two laundry areas. Plenty of kayaks and life jackets. The hot tub is awesome! Hosts have also provided many games and activities for guests. Hosts are local and quick to respond to any guest needs or questions. As we were leaving, 5 year old said, "I want to come back to this house!" We'll be back! Thanks Stan and Theresa! 😊

Wonderful property and beautiful area
All the amenities and more were all wonderful to use for the week. The game room and having the kayaks to use were so enjoyable. This was one of our most favorite vacations with our family. We kayaked with our granddaughters every day and they loved it, plus we enjoyed the beautiful sunsets. These beautiful memories will stay with all of us forever. We cannot wait till we can come again.

Good family time
Very nice property. We had three couples, a 17 year old and 1 year old. There was plenty of room for everyone to be together or have their own space. We had some rainy/cooler days and there were plenty of games and amenities to keep everyone occupied. The house has several features that are baby/toddler friendly but there are many decorative items within toddler reach - no big deal, we just moved them out of his reach. Good location - secluded but within easy driving distance to Bar Harbor/Acadia and grocery. FYI - when you go to grocery store, bring your own bags otherwise you have to pay for bags.

Perfect For Our Family Vacation and 50th Anniversary Lobster Feast
This beautiful vacation home was perfect for our family of nine, 6 adults and 3 children. It was very clean and stocked with all the necessities plus so many extras. Our grandchildren (ages 5, 8, and 11) loved all the space and games. The owners really put a lot of thought into the amenities to keep all ages entertained. The home provided us with great opportunity for togetherness while maintaining our own personal space throughout the week. Communication with Stan was easy, quick, and helpful. I have and will definitely recommend this property to our friends and family traveling in the area.
