Great experience.world stay again no problem .

Fantastic location

It badly needs a storage facility..I left a bag in the lobby,and they said it would be watched until I came back.when I came back there was no one around,and the bag was just sat in reception

Would not recommend this property

Just it was in wales

Poor parking, staff attitude poor, room small, not as photos, unsafe to step out to balcony, room not cleaned properly, booking. Com had been informed but contact hotel management, but told not refund or good will gesture only offered £21.05 back very poor quality

Picturesque llangothlen stay

Excellent friendly staff nothing to much trouble. Evening meal selection very good. When served was very hot and good portions. Breakfast excellent and hot. The setting is just so picturesque and a joy to just relax and drink it in.

The only slight down was staff a bit light on the ground in the evening and at night but those that were on duty especially around 23.00 hrs were so conscientious and attentive. You must be so pleased with such brilliant staff.

We have stayed before and it is such a lovely place to stay. The view of the river whilst having breakfast is fantastic. Staff lovely, and a good walk into town along the canal .

Had a lovely stay despite the room

Location, bar and restaurant are great, the food was fabulous 👌

Our room (34) was not good. Toilet extremely dirty when we arrived, reported to reception and promptly dealt with. Room in general was not good, very dated, very worn, numerous bulbs out.

Stunning location Friendly staff Breakfast was very good Sunday lunch outstanding Watching the canoes on the river Watching the trains arriving across the river at Berwyn station Views from our balcony on a lovely sunny day with a G&T! The little bottles of Prosecco in the small cooler The suite was amazing, just stunning! The four poster bed was very comfy Loved the spa bath though struggled to understand all the functions Breakfast times were sensible; not too early and finishing at 10

No wifi except on ground floor. Loose tiles on bathroom floor Lack of instructions on how to use the spa bath Plants on windows in bar were all dying from lack of water and a storage chest on our balcony was fully of dead plants? The plants outside the hotel were lovely and new so maybe they hadn't got round to sorting the rest?

Stunning location

Staff were lovely. So friendly and helpful. That’s why I didn’t complain about our room to them. Stunning views and lovely hotel.

Bedroom was very small. En-suite was so small the sink was in the bedroom. The bedroom windows hadn’t been cleaned in a long time.

Could be outstanding with a little updating

A beautiful, quiet location next to a river. We had smoked haddock for breakfast and it was delicious. We also ate our evening meal in the restaurant and the food was very good. The view from the restaurant is outstanding. Our room was very clean with a view of the river. The shower was good. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. Parking was easy. Lots of outside seating with lovely views.

Our room was very basic and a bit dated. No artwork on the white walls and no decoration of any sort, not even on the curtains or bedding. The bed frame was metal and was really cold every time I touched it with my legs. The en-suite was tiny and the door didn't close properly so we could see each other on the toilet. Luckily, we have been together for a long time and know each other well! It felt like you were using the toilet in a cupboard. No phone or wi-fi signal. No lift and a lot of stairs to climb.

Fantastic view of the river from our room with a balcony. Quiet location giving a wonderful restful sleep in a very comfortable bed. walking distance to the falls and town if you wanted

A lovely one night stay

The hotel was very nice, a little tired but the views made up for it. It was in a great location. The staff were very friendly. The dinner menu was a little disappointing but breakfast was great.

Lovely place to stay

Dinner menu was a little limited but the staff were very friendly. We had a suite overlooking the river so a fantastic location with lovely woodland walk to horseshoe falls. Very popular location with walkers. Not sure how you would cope in Winter as heating seemed limited.

My husband wanted a steak but the hotel said they had to remove it from the menu due to chef shortage which was disappointing.

NEVER AGAIN !

The location Breakfast was pretty good

Parking on top car park. Ridiculous arrangement when guests have luggage. Unfriendly unhelpful- rude staff ( except for young woman on reception and the lady who served us at breakfast) Mould in bathroom around tiles and on the old plastic shower curtain Squeeking beds Very chavvy , loud, threatening drunk and aggressive guests in next room. The worst experience ever in a hotel No phone in room to be able to complain to reception about the noise from the people in next room

Beautiful location

The location is fantastic with a great view of the river. The hotel itself is excellent. The food also was excellent. The staff were super friendly.

Some rooms look over the river. Ours looked over the llangollen canal on the shaded side of the hotel. The room facilities were excellent. The only negative was an air conditioning fan just below our bedroom window that came on at 6.30 in the morning. I think it may have been from the kitchen.

Disappointed of Dover

The location

We thought we had booked a riverside room but we had a room looking out the back with a view of the canal and a slate wall. When I bought this up with the receptionist she showed me her paperwork but did not offer any upgrade. We arrived at 3.50 to be told the restaurant closed at 5.30 so we went into the town for dinner. Then the bar closed at 10. There was a motor running, we think it was from the kitchen and that started about 10.30 and then again early in the morning. The paint was peeling on the ceiling in the bathroom and the shelf in the bathroom was held up by bits of cardboard. I was going to raise these issues but there were waitresses serving breakfast but no reception staff so when we left this morning we put the key in a box on reception and no one saw us go. I feel we would have had a better experience in a hotel on a motorway service station.

Poor facilities, room phone not working so safety issue as no signal on mobile, mirror light not working, no BBC on tv, no heater in bathroom, could not get internet connection anywhere in hotel

Stunning Hotel

Beautiful hotel in a stunning location. Beds so comfy and rooms warm and cosy. Water outside very relaxing and the balcony was an added bonus. Staff were really friendly and helpful. Will definitely be returning....thankyou
