About this house rental

Lots of natural light in this newly renovated duplex on a quiet street in the heart of Clintonville. Minutes from Riverside Hospital, downtown Columbus and Ohio State University and The James Cancer Clinic. 3 bedrooms can comfortably sleep 6 adults. A short walk to coffee shops, bakeries, restaurants, boutiques and a Saturday morning farmer's market! Your stay also includes membership access to a 24 hour gym that is a short 2 minute drive or 8 minute walk from our home!

Downstairs you’ll have access to your own private entrance, screened in front porch with patio furntire, a living and dining room, half bath and fully equipped kitchen. Upstairs are 3 bedrooms and a full bath. For families with young children we offer a pack-n-play or crib option, baby monitor, baby bath and accessories and sound machine.

The front door is just inside the screened-in porch, the kitchen is fully equipped and there is a complimentary washer and dryer in the basement. You are also welcome to enjoy the backyard and patio's gas grill and fire pit. The backyard and patio are a shared space my family also uses, if you wish to have a private evening under our outdoor lights just let me know and I will happily accommodate you.

You will have a completely private stay with 2 separate entrances to choose from. We live on the other side of the duplex, I have a high value in your privacy—a key pad will get you into the house. I am absolutely available to answer any questions or concerns that may arise during your stay.

Enjoy complimentary drinks, snacks, WIFI, local TV and movies on Netflix and Amazon. For those looking to unplug--please enjoy the books and board games.

The property was perfect for our little family and the host was more than accommodating. They had a crib set up for our 1 year old, and had everything we needed: a high chair, baby bath, toys, sippy cups and silverware, sound machines, night lights, blackout blinds. We were even able to do a load of laundry. The host was very responsive and kind. Thank you for a great stay!

Rachel and her family were extremely gracious hosts. Though their home is the other side of the duplex, they made us feel like we had the house, front porch and back yard to ourselves. Walking distance to grocery store. Great local neighborhood walks. Perfect driving location to everything we needed including only 20 minutes from the airport. Kerrigan and coffee pot, snacks, comfortable beds.

This clean home is in a pleasant neighborhood that is within walking distance of places to eat and shop. We even walked the 2.5 miles to OSU, which avoided all busy roads. The home is nicely decorated and very clean! The owner is immensely kind and helpful. We would definitely stay here again.

My favorite rental by far! I rented this place for a sisters weekend in Columbus and couldn’t have been happier with the accommodations and location. Rachel stated that she wanted to provide a place that felt like a home away from home and SHE NAILED IT! All the comforts of home are provided along with some sweet extras for you to relax and enjoy your time there. It is very spacious, comfortable, clean and tastefully decorated. The guideline book and extras offered made it feel more welcoming than most rentals I have stayed in. It is definitely a kick back and relax place. Centrally located to all of Columbus, we traveled to downtown, German Village, Powell, the Short North, and Grandview Heights easily. Located on a quiet street that is in a safe area to walk if you desire, I highly recommend Rachel’s place!

First of all, the owner was wonderful. Not only did she quickly respond to all my questions, there was a binder filled with everything you could need to know! There was even a nice little snack basket, we felt very welcomed This is a great location. We were 10 minutes from OSU and COSI, our two destinations. Groceries and many places for food delivery were incredibly close. And the 24-hour gym included in the stay was amazing. We got to work out with a whole gym to ourselves! The house and all its rooms were cozy. It felt very homey and comfortable. We are a family of mom/dad and 3 teens and everyone had a bed and space. The living room furniture was soft and lovely and the dining table was perfect for games too (which they had lots of!). Would 100% stay again

What a great spot. We were in town for a Buckeye game, and this home was located just north of campus is a lovely, quiet neighborhood. Rachael was a very generous host and was flexible with our check-in and checkout times based on our travel. The house had its original charm and just the right updates for everyone to be comfortable. We good breakfast each morning, a grocery store within a few blocks and kitchen basics provided. We would definitely love to stay here for future trips back to cheer on the buckeyes.

Arrived mid-week ahead of the football weekend action. Big games to watch on t.v. Hosts had a nice place, very comfortable, good television reception, all the amenities one would expect. Bathrooms were either too small or we are too big. Guess which.

This home is immaculate. We loved the “old” feel with the traditional updates….so gorgeous! Rachael was an amazing host and the extra amenities were appreciated and so thoughtful! We will definitely be staying here again when we are in the Columbus area!

This home was a great location to restaurants, a playground, unique shops and cute neighborhood sidewalks. We loved all of the accommodations the home had. There wasn't anything missing from making our stay relaxing and a home away from home. The owners was super friendly, and had a great yard for the kids to play in too!

Enjoyed visiting this home with lots of character. Home was clean and comfortable, but had typical older home traits like very creaky floors, inoperative switches, tiny bathrooms, etc. If you like older homes, you'll be happy - if you expect modern feel this probably won't be your favorite.

Great accommodations for six adults coming in from Kenosha, Wisconsin, Atlanta Georgia, and London England to visit our daughter and family for Christmas. Accommodations were perfect, well thought our and very well supplied. I reserved this VRBO for my family. They attended a game at OSU and visited some places from where they grew up years ago. I was told it could not have been any better. It is obvious that the owners have either stayed in the home or paid carful attention to guest feedback. For example, the the bathroom doesn't have a vanity, most older homes don't. However, just outside the bathroom there is a hall table and mirror for ease of getting ready. We greatly appreciated the games and large selection of tea provided! We stayed during a visit to the Columbus Zoo and the Wilds. This was a good location for getting to both.

Rachael has done a wonderful job to make her home cozy and accommodating for families, especially those with small children. Everything was provided from crib, baby monitor, highchair and child friendly plates and cups. The location was within walking distance to a playground and restaurants. Clintonville is a cute bedroom community to the greater Columbus area and very accessible by ride share to the Airport, OSU, Nationwide Arena and other major venues. We will certainly look forward to staying here on our next visit to Columbus.

Great location for seeing the zoo, conservatory, Germantown and some breweries The host provided everything we needed for a 3 night stay. They even set up a crib, pack n play and a monitor for our 2 month old and 2 year old. The outside area was perfect for grilling some dinner and relaxing by a fire. 10/10 would recommend.

Met family for a fun weekend. House is in perfect location for visiting Ohio State campus and convenient to all of Columbus. Property was welcoming and comfortable, kitchen was well equipped and there even some surprises such as snacks and beverages. Communication with host, Rachael, was excellent both before and after arrival. Will definitely return when back in the area.

This was such a wonderful place for my family to stay. I travelled with my in laws (60s), my husband, a 2.5 yr old and a newborn. There were so many amenities that made this the perfect place for adults and children. This will absolutely be our go to location when traveling to Columbus. Location was ideal for the zoo, conservatory, cosi. Neighborhood was safe, quiet and near a walkable distance playground. We even walked down the street to get ice cream. There's a loca take and bake pizza place that we enjoyed. After a long day at the zoo, we got take home pizzas and enjoyed the comfort of this home. Amenities galore for children. My toddler loved the toys and backyard. My in laws loved the wine and spirits. I loved not travelling with baby soap, bathtub, stroller, monitor, crib and toddler rails. I appreciated the extra items available throughout the kitchen and bathroom incase you forgot something. The house is older and has a lot of character. I also have an old home so the squeaky wood floors were not surprising to me, but take note if you need to tip toe around a newborn or toddler during naps/bedtime. Overall, this place was wonderful. I had to communicate with he host on multiple occasions for scheduling conflicts and VRBO issues and she was very pleasant and accommodating. It can be a real chore to travel with young kids but this property allowed me to actually enjoy our trip because I didn't need to pack so much. The adults got to enjoy a grown up space and accomodations and I had room for my toddler to play and my newborn to sleep in a comfortable crib. We will definitely be back. If you're thinking about booking... Do it. You will thoroughly enjoy this property.

I was familiar with the neighborhood so I had high expectations. This property met or exceeded all of my expectations! The house was extremely clean and the beds were all comfortable. The homeowner was easy to contact and responded to all of my messages in a timely manner. The hospitality was superb! Drinks and snacks for us to enjoy put this place over the top! I would highly recommend this property and definitely plan to stay again any time I’m in the area!

We were thankful to find a safe, clean home to house our young family before we continued on a longer road trip. Rachael was very communicative and accommodating...we greatly appreciated the high chair and crib that was set up for our baby. Would certainly recommend!

Older duplex with many modern upgrades on a quiet side street, well-treed, and very pleasant for walking. Sweet (if funky) screened front porch for relaxing, snacking, conversing while enjoying breezes and birdsongs. Comfortable, attractive living and dining rooms, highly functional and pleasant kitchen. Three bedrooms with good beds, windows, not quite enough closet and dresser space. One and a half baths a plus, though both rather cramped in size. Parking on street was easy. Hosts friendly enough and helpful.
