Just what we needed & expected. Wonderful location & views of the marsh. Main porch was a special place for me and my dogs. Thanks so much.

The house is perfect considering the location and price. We highly recommend

This house is not in great shape and the cleaning person, despite us paying a cleaning fee, was a family member clearly overwhelmed by cleaning the house instead of a legitimate cleaning service. It’s an older house, honestly seemed to have structural problems based on a slope in one of the kids bedrooms, and just not clean. We bought a swiffer while we were there and it seemed like the floor hadn’t ever been mopped. One bathroom had nothing but an old clawfoot tub and the other had subfloors that were giving way and a tiny shower. TV barely worked, WiFi was slow. Square footage is no where close to 2500, that must be a number including the basement which felt sketchy and was not open to our use to my knowledge. Furniture feels old and given the cleanliness of the rest of the house a friend had to put down a blanket to feel comfortable.
I am surprised this is an evolve managed property.

It was nice to walk in and have lights & ceiling fans on. Neat and tidy. Easy walk to beach even with 2 and 5 year olds. Lisa, our host was available and attentive. Amenities plenty of towels + beach towels, linens, paper towels, plenty of tp, hand soap. Beach gear too. Just bring your bathing suits!

We enjoyed our stay, lots of laughs and fun sitting around the table and on the porch. Owner was very responsive when the porch lights needing replacing.

The house is close to falling down. The crows nest seems un safe and the whole house is leaning. The shower is too small for anyone over six feet and is very misleading from the description and photos. This house should not be rented.

Everything went well, except the first night someone entered the property walked through the home to the back door and turned around and left. My wife was on the back porch with the dogs.
We really enjoyed the place, and the location was perfect. Would recommend this place to family and friend's.

This cottage has all of the charming, magical feels...from the screened front porch with twinkle lights, shells, and plenty of space to rock in the chairs or sway in the hammock, to the comfortable space to spread out. No end of places to create memories. We could hear the ocean from every space of the house. The ocean and easy beach access were a block away. And the marshes were behind the house, views which were easily enjoyed from a back-of-the-house wrap-around deck and crow's nest. The neighborhood is safe and lovely. And Pawley's Island amenites were very close and had everything we could possibly want. Loved our stay.

We love this property and it never fails to give us the rest and relaxation we need. If you get tired of the beach you can play at the marsh. Lots of fun! Private because of the marsh behind and the park next door. Close enough to get to groceries and to go out to eat but so perfect for family time

An old Pawley’s beach house. House has the basic amenities. Beds were comfortable and the window AC units work well. Good thing because it was hot as ….
Outdoor shower. Nice front porch, excellent dock. Great location, easy walk to beach.
House needs some work, but most older houses on Pawley’s always do. Owner texted to check in to see if we needed anything. Overall happy with the 11 night summer vacation trip.

Stayed here for Thanksgiving with my family. Loved location, house was very cozy and decorated with wonderful art. The private dock is right across the street and is just GLORIOUS! We saw many different birds: Ibis, egrets, blue heron, Kingfishers and many more!
The showerhead needs to be higher and water pressure better. Other than that, you will love being able to walk steps to the beach and the neighborhood is so quaint!

The place is pretty basic but that is what we wanted. The beds were comfortable and we made good use of the screened front porch and the inside living area. The kitchen is serviceable. There is a nice private back dock and easy beach access. The indoor shower is not made for large people. There is an outdoor shower but not sure whether it has hot water.

We are native South Carolinians and love Pawley’s Island for the quiet family friendly atmosphere. This house is in the perfect location for the beach and the creek. The covered dock has wrap around seating for all to enjoy and the house is a very short walk to the ocean. We love that it is located away from the main south end public parking so it keeps the crowded feeling on the beach down.
Comments about the house that would be a beneficial upgrade: Ceiling fans or more free standing fans on the front porch would be awesome especially during noseeum season. Ha! A larger shower would be nice possibly in bathroom two as it is a little difficult to turn around in the corner shower in bathroom one.
The house, location and the amenities are what pulls us here for every beach vacation. Looking forward to our next trip!

Such a great getaway to Pawleys with some friends of mine from all over. We all enjoyed the closeness to the beach and the amazing dock. The front porch was the absolute best. Thanks so much!

A great getaway!
Just returned from a peaceful trip to this old fashioned Pawleys house. Great porches and great location near the beach and the creek. Linens were soft and comfy, good quality towels, and house was very clean. Well stocked kitchen, and a number of considerate, personal touches that made our stay more comfortable. Owners were pleasant to deal with and very responsive.

Not fancy, but very close to a wonderful beach, and the owners were very responsive. Nice view of the marsh, beautiful marsh dock, and the ocean waves were easily heard. 5 minute walk to the beach.

Family Time Well Spent
My family and I stayed at this property while visiting the area. The location is perfect, as you are close to anything you need in town, yet able to enjoy the serene environment that Pawleys Island has to offer. Perfect balance!! The check in and check out process were seamless from start to finish, and the host was more than accommodating when we asked to extend our stay. They were responsive and went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed!! Definitely planning a return trip.

Precious, Authentic Pawley's Beach House
What a lovely place. Generations of families must have made memories here. Quirkily uneven floors, simplicity, and peaceful comfort can be found here. The porches are wonderfully roomy and comfortable with rockers and cushions. There are plenty of beds, a shower, and an amazingly soakable clawfoot tub. This was exactly what we were looking for.

Perfect Vacation
So close to the beach and the marsh’s access created a nice crab snack. Very clean. Very comfortable. Enjoyed every minute and planning on booking again in March. Thanks!!!

4 minute walk to beach, needs some work
Overall, we liked the layout of the house, the living room was comfortable and the wifi worked well. Easy 4 minute walk to the beach.
However, we found the house to be lacking. We can appreciate an old beach shack with slanted floors, but this one needs some work. Primarily, it is in need of a deep clean...the inside of the refrigerator was really dirty, something had spilled on the bottom and several flies had accumulated in it. No one has cleaned under the beds in awhile and several dusty socks were found while collecting our belongings. The one shower is very small and the floor outside of it is close to rotting through. We enjoyed the large porch in the front of the house and it is where we spent a lot of our time. We wish it had been on the other side of the home where it was quieter and with a better view. There is no dishwasher, which was fine for a brief stay, but I would have appreciated a sponge and dishtowel to be provided (had to make a special stop for a sponge to wash the dishes). I would have also appreciated a more thorough home reference notebook that addressed the location and keys to the dock, where the hairdryer was kept and basic information, such as, check out procedures. Overall, while the home has potential it needs some work/upgrades.

We really enjoyed how close this house was to the beach and we found it very accommodating for our family. However, we did feel that the house was much more run down in person than it appeared in the listing. This place really needs some updates just to make things more comfortable...there is only one shower (which is extremely small) and some of the beds are beyond uncomfortable. The fan in one bedroom was very loud and squeaky, and there are some noticeable slanted floors and weak spots throughout the house. If you're looking for a camping feel, this is the house for you. If you're used to hotel accomodations - keep looking.

Very old home, good location, mostly comfortable.
The dock is owned by 3 houses so is not really private. The house is kind of falling apart, bathroom sinks leak, door handles fall off, floor is weak in spots, shower is super tiny, ac filters are dirty BUT there was plenty of hot water, cool air to get away from the heat, a roof over our heads and a lovely beach to enjoy. The twin beds were comfy but the others not so much. The owner seems really nice and tries but there's only so much he can do to this poor old home.

Clayton Cottage
This was the perfect place for our family, with 2 toddlers and 2 dogs. We really wanted for nothing, except maybe a bigger shower, which i believe is in the works. Dave and Lisa were very attentive, even before the tine of check-in. They constantly checked in with us to make sure we had all we needed and that there were no problems. All in all we had a great time.

Charming Old School Feel
We definitely enjoyed our vacation here. The house was old and rustic, but not too out of date to enjoy your time. The location was in a great spot, easy access to the beach, and all the shopping and food you could want. There were a few spots in the house that could’ve been tidied up a little better, and with older beach houses comes all of the usual spiders and other crawlers in the house that you have to get used to. That said, we would stay in this house again.
