The views from the cottage are directly across the Irish Sea towards Ramsey Island and are truly spectacular. The cottage has been sympathetically renovated in the traditional Pembrokeshire style and following it's completion won the master builders national award. It is only a short walk to the Pembrokeshire coastal path and a 7 minute drive to the cathedral city of St Davids. Lower Porthmawr is a self-catered cottage, featuring 2 bedrooms (a King room and twin room), a cosy lounge area with bed settee and Free View TV + DVD player, wood-burning stove and stunning views across the ocean. The fully-equipped kitchen features a 6 seater table, electric Aga, dishwasher and extensive fridge space. The bathroom contains a shower and bath with views across the ocean. The vast outdoor garden features a sheltered patio area with a table, chairs and fire pit. There is also a gas BBQ to enjoy your dinner with a view! Lower Porthmawr is on the same site as The Roost, the other property in our portfolio. Both available for combined group bookings. We love the farmhouse by the sea
We have stayed many times .Standards are not as good as before. Some attention to detail needed. Cleanliness not very good
But we still love it

Lovely cottage. Few bits of maintenance needed for little things that don't make or break a holiday but can make it less hassle. Plug not quite stopping bath water draining, half broken shower door handle, half shutting bedroom window, recycling boxes not where the instructions said, doors sticking, lack of extra sheets for beds etc. Lovely place just perhaps a little complacent because it is so nice?

Fab break
Really comfortable pretty cottage with the most amazing views. Tipped with rain one day but happy to stay in , nice and snug , weather watching. Walks along coast from cottage. Even spotted a seal. Enjoyed the daffodil displays , people really friendly. Keen to visit again.

Another amazing holiday at lower Porthmawr
We just love this house so much, it’s the perfect holiday cottage. There was lots of nice new touches since our last visit, re-decoratex living room, new sofas, tv, bedding, soft furnishings and easier recycling which made it even better. The house was also super clean when we arrived. Communication with Marek was excellent, he was so helpful and lovely. We can’t wait to come back.

Beautiful location and a wonderfully cosy cottage, the perfect hideaway to unwind
Located overlooking the stunning Whitesands Bay, the cottage is perfect for a get-away-from-it-all family break. St David's is a short 5 minute drive away with it's shops and amazing cathedral, and there are plenty of things to do in the broader region too without having to travel too far. However, we spent most of our time relaxing in the cottage itself, strolling down to the beach, or walking along the headland. Really well equipped with all the 'mod-cons', and comfortably furnished, it was a perfect place to relax and unwind. We were sorry to leave and this is definitely one we'll look to return to.

Amazing
We love this cottage. Having dogs and the wilds of West Wales to explore, its perfect simplicity means we don't have to worry about wet paws or wet people.

26 years from our first stay
We stayed at the cottage 26 years ago with our two teenage boys and two Labradors. This time it was just the two of us, and what a wonderful week we had again in the tastefully updated and refurbished cottage. We compared our photos from a quarter of a century ago! The weather was kind, the cottage was cosy and warm with the AGA , and the walks every day were so enjoyable. We used the excellent Morso woodburner (we have a Morso stove at home) one evening and one chilly morning and it brought an added cheer, the expansive grass and exterior seating were first class. We had two spectacular sunsets, a beautiful rainbow, and saw many seals in the sea and in the coves. We even had a regular visitor of a Kestrel pecking away for insects every day. Without any light pollution, we gazed at the stars, the planets, the Milky Way and the Andromeda galaxy. Picking super-tasty Blackberries in the garden and the lane made for a healthy breakfast start to the day.
We particularly enjoyed the stunning views of Carreg Sampson, a 5000-year-old Neolithic dolmen, a seafood lunch at The Shed in Porthgain, and the best ever coffee at the Kiosk Porthclais. The cottage and the splendid location was so right for us and we hope it will be for others.

Excellent private location with splendid views. Good access to local coast paths.
There is an ongoing battle with woodlice but it has not put us off booking next year.
The bathroom is downstairs. Sadly there is no plumbing upstairs.

Stunning location
We had a fantastic week staying here, we'll definitely be going back. The property had every home comfort you could need and the Aga was incredible. The location was perfect for some excellent local beaches and although appears remote is only 5 minutes from St Davids.

Sublime
Our perfect holiday cottage.
Sensational views. Walking distance to one of the best beaches in Britain and stunning coastal scenery on your doorstep. Add to that a charming cottage, tastefully and thoughtfully renovated with an aga and wood burning stove and comfortable beds.
If its available for your dates stop looking and book it. But for summer months it's often booked over a year in advance. We certainly can't wait to be back............

Great location
Great location and amazing old farmhouse, some of the interiors are starting to look a little tired and poor quality bedding/sofas. A great place wand provide logs and bbq etc, but let down by poor cleanliness

Perfect get away with spectacular views
The cottage is perfect, so homely, cosy and perfect for our family of 4. It’s high up on the hill overlooking whitesands beach and the views are breathtaking. Great to be able to walk to the beach and so many walks to explore on the coastal path. The cottage is really well equipped, we loved the aga, had the most comfortable beds and a bath with the best view!! We loved it and will be back.

Woodlice
On arrival there was a slug on the kitchen worktop and numerous woodlice and dead flies on window sills and on the carpet by the windows especially in the bedrooms which made me feel sick. I have stayed in a number of cottages and never experienced this. We found the bedrooms particularly drafty. We had some issues with the electricity tripping, especially when we had the lamp hanging above the kitchen table on, in the end we did not use it. Overall we enjoyed our stay but because of the windy conditions outside had disrupted sleep. I cleaned up the dead woodlice a number of times but they still kept appearing. The log fire lovely and the view from the cottage lovely.

Fabulous
This was our third trip to this property! The location is amazing with stunning views over Whitesands beach!. The communication with the property owner was second to none, throughout the uncertainty we faced due to the coronavirus pandemic.

Everything about this beautiful cottage was outstanding. It was incredibly warm and welcoming, extremely well equipped and the views were amazing. It is a credit to both the owners and the caretaker. We would highly recommend and cannot wait to return.

Cosy getaway
I came here to do some writing, booked for five night and ended staying two more. The house is gorgeous. Very warm, lovely aga, great bath, nicely equipped and plenty of creature comforts. Close to beautiful beach and lovely walks. Perfect for families who want to get away from it all - although the WiFi works very well too. Highly recommend.

Perfect getaway
Spectacular location, with incredible views from every window. This house is by far the best holiday cottage we have ever rented a truly magical place, that we feel so lucky to have experienced. We miss waking up opening the shutters in the bedroom and watching the sea and the lighthouse from the incredibly comfy bed, sitting on the bench outside drinking our morning coffee, having baths with sunset views, cooking meals on the aga and making roaring fires.
The house is warm and cosy, perfect for a winter getaway. Lots of fantastic walks from the doorstep, 10 minutes to the beach.
We will definitely be back!

Wonderful house, superb location. Words do not do the house or location justice.

Very cozy cottage with a spectacular view!
The cottage was very well equipped with comfy beds and an Aga in the kitchen, which was welcome on cold evenings. The setting is amazing, with wonderful views over Whitesands beach and the sea. There was a lovely bathroom and a huge grass area for the dogs to chase and fetch. The seating in the sitting room could do with renewing and a lot of the wall paint/lime wash was crumbling off the walls. Due to local storms, there was no wi fi for either house on the site. Minor points but worth mentioning.

Revisiting old haunts.
A wonderful stay and Lower Porthmawr was the perfect base from which to explore the St Brides Bay coast. Cottage had everything we needed and was cosy and warm when a cold wind was blowing outside. Wonderful view of the Whitesands beach and we loved sitting outside when the sun shone.
Thank you so much to Debbie.

Excellent location and stunning views
Perfect location and views over the beach. Very cosy cottage and very warm due to aga and underfloor heating. Second stay at this location. Only negative observation was mildew on some of the walls which was causing the plaster to crumble but suppose that's due to it being an old cottage. Still had a fab week theres

Delightful cottage overlooking the beautiful Pembroke Coast.
The perfect location for exploring the North Pembroke coastline. Part of the cottage’s charm is that it is tucked away up it’s own private track. Walking out of the cottage in one direction was St. David’s Head and walking in the opposite direction the Lifeboat station of St. Justinians. Outstanding views out across the sea in both directions. Gannets diving and seals lazing in the sun. Returning to the cottage with all it’s comforts. The cosy kitchen with a really effective aga made cooking easy, a lovely log burner and really comfortable bed! Waking up to the breath taking views was amazing. What better place to stay!

Stunning......
This little cottage is full of charm and character we absolutely love it. We had an amazing week in this little piece of heaven and hope to return next year. The location is just stunning with magnificent views across the bay. We arrived in the first British heatwave for many years so spent most of our holiday around the cottage or on the beach. We took full advantage of the deckchairs and sunloungers for hire! There is a photo album in the cottage with pictures of the renovations carried out by the owner, we were really impressed by the sheer hard work and scale of a project, which has retained the character and charm of such a beautiful old property.
We can’t praise the owner highly enough.

Stunning coastal holiday home with views you could never get bored of.
We arrived to find a cosy cottage that never disappointed. It is well equipped and the views overlooking Whitesands bay, and seen from all rooms, really help to make the stay pleasurable.

what a shame - poor value
In our opinion This property requires attention to the internal fabric of the building eg plaster falling off inc above Aga - not good when cooking. Also several damp areas, wood lice, walked through cobwebs across front door on first entry, torch not working, fuse box too high to reach safely if power trips (no step ladders), rusty electric sockets
Could go on but I’ve had enough.
Redeeming feature a good view but a lot further than 50 metres from the beach
All in all too pricey
Best things the coastal walks and leaving the property at the end of our stay

Couldn't be more perfect!
The cottage, views, and location are stunning. I love the fact that the beach and the coastal path are on the doorstep, & wonderful St Davids is also within walking distance. There are also some fantastic restaurants within a short drive of the property.
For me it was absolute paradise, and I can't wait to visit again.
