Excellent stay in Bordeaux

Beautiful decor inside, the room was really spacious, picked king bed. Super clean.

Not worth the value

The rooms were clean

The air conditioning did not work and we we suffocating during the night. It was at 30 degrees Celsius in Bordeaux last night and this issue could not be fixed

Séjour gâché par la déficience du service de net

Un certain confort, des installations fonctionnelles et pratiques

Vétusté de certains mobiliers (mal entretenus, tables écornées….) et surtout propreté et ménage indignes d’un quatre étoiles (chaussette sale non ramassée d’un précédent séjour traînant sur le tapis au milieu de la chambre, lits mal faits, cafetière non vidée, plâtres des murs de la sdb qui s’effritent et ne sont pas ramassés….)

Le rapport qualité prix n était pas là. Notre bouilloire ne fonctionnait pas. La chambre manquait de prises électriques.

Lo que más me gustó fue la cena. El personal del restaurante es muy agradable y las opciones de platos para cenar están bien. La cama era bastante cómoda.

La relacion calidad precio comparando con otros hoteles de similares características y fuera del bucle urbano es peor. Además, la temperatura de la habitación está limitada. Comentamos que hacia frío pero que no salía aire caliente y nos dijeron que más de la temperatura ambiente que se notaba en el hotel no se podía subir. Las fotos no se corresponden con la realidad. Ponía que había una sala de niños y en una foto se aprecia pero allí nos dijeron que lo único que había era como una sala de lectura en la que había algún cuento infantil.

Prettig hotel met vriendelijk personeel. Kamer met comfortabel persoonsbed en slaapbank voor de kinderen. Babybedje is optioneel. Het ontbijt was lekker. Goede douche. Parkeren kan op de parking van het hotel. Ideaal hotel voor doorreis.

Once 4 star Novotel has become a synthetic money machine

Only the staff deserves a special mention for friendliness.

The board of directors of Novotel should join extinction rebellion in fighting big oil! Why ? Well nearly everything in Novotel these days is 100 per cent made of synthetics being all plastic / oil based. The bedding is fully synthetic with pillows of lowest level IKEA stuffing. The carpet, the wall decoration, the white LED Lighting in for example the toilet : everything feels like either a cheap outskirts office building or a hospital or both at the same time. Go to the toilet and it is not hard to imagine that you are actually staying in a hospital for treatment and not a comfy hotel. The double bed size of 160 cm without even separate matrasses or separate covers is laughable at this room rate. Guest are offered no choice if they are out of twin beds. The sink in the bathroom is built in such a way that you cannot actually put your head under and or drink from the tap directly. Is that a horrible design error or on purpose to prevent guests from drinking from it? The breakfast is the standard bake off bread that you get in any French hotel chain. It seems there is no more chain related hotel in France left that dares going against the groups’ marching orders and buys its bread and viennoiserie from a local bakery thus supporting local business, promoting more wholesome food (bake off is ALWAYS a worst health choice against fresh baked bread). Staying at a Novotel in 2024 has nothing left to do with hospitality, offering guests in even the simplest way a memorable stay. No it is pure business calculation down to the last euro and this spirit shows itself everywhere. Now that would all be acceptable if the rooms were like the price of an Etap hotel that essentially offers the same but the rooms at this Novotel start at a shocking 150 euro. Shame on you group management.

Goed voor kort verblijf

Hotel dichtbij tramstation, binnen paar minuten in centrum. Gratis parkeren. Prijs voor ons verblijf. Goed geïsoleerd kamer, bijna geen geluiden van buiten te horen. Koffieapparaat.

Van 4 sterren hotel heb ik toch iets meer verwachten. Klein wc, zelfs geen plek voor prullenbak. Geen koelkast dus lastig voor langere verblijf, op foto's is die wel te zien, verwarrend. Harde bed met stroef dekbed, niet comfortabel voor ons. In badkamer grote gat boven je hoofd in plaats van ventilatie.

Excellent location for Parc des Exposition. Clean and comfortable, but poor staff attitude & service

Upon arrival i was nicely surprised by the interior furnishings. The room was large and comfortable and everything worked!

Staff attitude was strange. I paid for my room upon arrival and later that day went to the bar for drinks and was told it was not possible to put the bill on the room? A second member of staff confirmed this was the case. I then ordered a club sandwich (bar food menu) which was inedible and clearly had been made much earlier in the day and left in the fridge.

Convenient but not up to Novotel standards

The hotel was good, clean and comfortable and being refurbished the only trouble like most Novotel’s the television does not include English channels through the hotels

At this hotel there was nothing and the smart television was quite hard to operate. The food in the restaurant needs to be improved for the international clients coming through. Covient

Hôtel entièrement rénové et prestations de qualité. Station tram à 50m, idéal pour se rendre en plein centre en 20 minutes. Chambre avec vue sur le lac très agréable. Personnel très accueillant.

Tarif élevé eu égard à la prestation globale. Décoration du hall un peu tristounette La chambre était dans une zone en travaux, différente du descriptif. Hôtel globalement un peu vieillot même si la rénovation des chambres est assez bien faite. Petit déjeuner plutôt cher mais pas trop imaginatif.

Very disappointing experience at the end of a 12 hour drive.

Leaving and it’s location

Food just tasted of salt. Numerous guests returned their food Our food was served before our wine and water The bread was stale and the girl cutting the bread didn’t wear gloves or use a napkin. Just bare hands Toilet wasn’t clean and had stains. No sanitary bags No water in the room, we were told that we could fill our bottles down stairs or take the paper cups provided Bare minimum tea/coffee. No milk provided The bed made clunking noises when sitting on it The carpet had seen better days and had a masked smell This was NOT a 4* hotel

Good but slightly dissapointing.

Breakfast was good. Clean and warm room.

Most hotels have USB charging ports in rooms. This hotel did not. Also did not sell plugs for USB charging. In restaurant my starter was cold. Sent back to heat up and it did not come back so I went without a starter. Decor too modern and not to an older person's taste.
