Beyond awesome - in every sense! Wow!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
It was all rather brilliant from start to finish, seamlessly so in fact. My wife and I returned home after our two-night Club InterContinental stay, full of wonderful memories which I am sure we will always treasure. This is our second visit, and definitely the best experience so far.

Proximity of hotel to city/old town (15 minutes drive) while being a resort style place. The staff was very welcoming, responsive and helpful. Pool is a plus. Excellent breakfast and food in general.
Hotel didn’t age well and needs to refurbished. It’s clean though, but the housing structure is located over water which doesn’t help. Rooms are relatively small.
4.3
Very good atmosphere, attention to detail.
Sparkling water is charged at breakfast.
4.3
Very comfortable hotel, clean and well kept. Breakfast is excellent, with many different options of delicious food.
4.3
The staff were helpful
The rooms are very dated and basic. With this considered it is extremely expensive for Hanoi! We were expecting luxury
4.3
Excellent breakfast with a massive range on offer. We took up the all inclusive offer to use the leisure facilities and club lounge and this was also excellent.
4.3
綺麗で部屋も広かった。使わなかったがサウナやジムもあった。
最終日まで歯ブラシなどのアメニティがおかれてなく、ないものかと思ってましたが最終日のみアメニティが置かれてました。

Bathroom was not clean

The service is excellent. The staff are helpful and attentive
The accommodation is tired. The rooms were tired. The vents, silicone and ceilings were grubby. Every building needed a fresh paint and an update. It’s overdue for an update/renovation.
4.3
Open space, nice to stroll around. Peaceful… felt like a sanctuary out of the craziness. Service was excellent - fast when you call for service. Very helpful staff.
There were some dead fish in the river when we were there but staff cleared them qte quickly.

1) The breakfast provided (within room tariff) was awesomely good! Cafe Du Lac is really classy. If you are lucky, there will be a pianist playing at the same time you are having the yummy nosh (along with a range of refreshments;
2) The King Room Above Water option is good (Pavillion 2, where we stayed, is highly recommended);
3) As usual, the Milan restaurant was awesome!
1) Some of the food provided by the Saigon restaurant was over-cooked;
2) The menu/food selection choice offered by the Saigon restaurant would have benefitted from being more detailed;
3) For the quality of the food provided by the Saigon restaurant, the bill was felt to be somewhat overpriced;
4) Overall, the quality of the food provided by the Saigon restaurant was fair, but not excellent (as expected);
5) The view from the apartment was very good but not as stunning as hoped (and unfortunately, not the hotel's fault, mind you, my wife and I saw some dead fish in the water (the apartment was just above West Lake).

Lovely location and the overwater bungalows were great! Also really loved the huge tub!
A couple of things - I chose to go to this particular hotel/location because it was meant to be a restful trip away from the hustle and bustle of Hanoi. It was disappointing that the sunset bar started playing music as early as 4pm which meant late afternoon naps were out of the questions.
I would second some comment that the rooms feel a little dated and that some buildings could probably do with a paint refresh.
The pool during the day was super crowded, lots of families with young kids and not enough sun beds or room for everyone to relax.
All in all, I would say it felt more like a 3* (or 4* experience at a stretch) and definitely needs some improvement to be on par with other 5* hotels. Especially for how much you pay!

The rooms are spacious, I stayed in a room where the building is constructed on the water, they have a golf buggy service to drive you to your room.
The main door to the room did let a little sound through however the property was quiet in general so this wasn’t an issue.
4.3
Staff struggled with basic English. Exterior of hotel and rooms extremely tired now - we stayed in 2008 and it was wonderful
4.3
Near to my house. Within 5 minutes walk.
Property is ageing and require urgent uplifts.
Algae found below water line at swimming pool walls. Water treatment should be improve.
Room AC grille - dark stains on grille & wall. Look unsightly.
4.3
Amazing property at the historical west lake. The property is beautiful. Rooms are amazing, staff is friendly.
They have the best breakfast assortment in the world. You name it and you will get it. If I could I will eat breakfast only at this place for the rest of my life.
Their gym is well equipped, there isn't a equipment you wont find here
They charge too much for the day tours. Better to book outside. For 5 hours day tour they charged $170 (excluding tips)
Their restaurants are good but too expensive.

Everything. Very relaxing experience. Although we arrived several hours before our check-in time they gave us a room right away (great service!). The food was amazing (specially the buffet).
The view is amazing! You have a full view of the lake and the buildings on the back which looks great at night.
The facilities are well maintained. The pool was clean and relaxing, we had a great time.
The rooms are nice. We recommend to book a "lake view" room.
It is quite close to the Old Quarter but without being inside the noise. This hotel is pretty quiet.
The TV set is quite old and small compared to other hotels. The room service menu is only accessibly by mobile, which are PDFs hard to read in smartphone screens (my recommendation here is to either use smart TVs so you can browse the menu on the TV, or develop a mobile friendly web page).

There is no bidet in the bathroom

The room was gorgeous and the view exceptional. It was a luxurious stay and a good break. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Overall it was a great stay and highly recommended.
More variety on their in room dining options. This would have made my stay perfect as I didn't want to spend time away from the hotel but the lack of food options was the only thing that bothered me.

the lake
the curtains are very light

Good food options, stunning views over the lake.
Pool is a little small when it gets busy. The good service was quite slow at times.
4.3
It was nice that all the staff responded kindly, and especially the hotel staff who helped me properly prepare everything I had to prepare for my fiancée's birthday, so I was very grateful and had a great time.
The hotel breakfast was delicious and the surrounding scenery was so beautiful. I would like to use it again next time I have a chance.
It's a pity that the bed in a 5-star hotel was a little uncomfortable.
4.3
Our checkin experience was amazing - the host was incredibly knowledgable and proactive. Above and beyond! Nice gym too, loved it. Great location and we really loved our room, especially the upgrade! Also, best breakfast of our trip!
Can't think of anything - a really great stay!
