Location and the coffee behind the bar being available at breakfast was delicious . We would never choose the help yourself coffee as its always awful , so we where pleased we had the choice
The fact that Vegan yogurt and sausage where not out as part of the breakfast display . Having to ask specially for it made us feel like we where coming out every time. It was available so should be out on display the same as non vegan choices . Lots of non vegan people will choose a non dairy yogurt and sausages as a health choice . This is the only hotel we have stayed in that doesnt have it all out , it seams you are behind the times on this and need to catch up

Not keen on having to walk across from the main hotel to my room.

Fabulous location.
A lot of steps - not really suitable for people with mobility issues.

The location is round the corner from the train station. Staff are friendly and accommodating. The bar area was busy but not crowded with a very comfortable seating area. And my room had the best shower I have had in a hotel. Fabulous.
Nothing !

Location is hard to beat. View of the Eton Bridge at night was beautiful.
Very comfortable bed lovely cotton bedding ,but my pillows smelt stale and possibly need replacing.

Situated right on the side of the river & at the end of the street was the Castle 😄
Round the corner was the Royal Theatre…& stop for ‘hop on hop off’ buses….so central for everything!
Bit pricey!! But that was because of the location….😉

Location was good, on the river.
Check out time was on the early side at 11:00am. We were allowed a late checkout as long as we left by 2pm but had to pay an hourly rate for the privilege. This seems rather money grabbing. Rather than trying to ensure a positive customer experience. This is different to the policy in much nicer hotels such as those run by the Jumeriah group or the W, who would never charge extra for a late checkout. Even the Hilton chain, who have everything from incredible luxury resorts to basic airport hotels, see the benefit in making their customers happy (& therefore gaining repeat custom) over an extra few pounds short term profit. The bedrooms at Sir Christopher were tired and in need of renovation. It seems ridiculous to pay for a late check out to stay cramped up in one of these when far nicer rooms would be available for longer hours for free at better hotels.

good location & lovely views from restaurant.
Room very small & hot .
noisy early morning with emptying bins outside.
Air traffic which can’t be helped but would be good to be advised on this when booking.

The delightful waiter in the restaurant was the only member of staff who met the standard of people skill expected.\A good deal of well selected Art works donned the walls.
The staff were somewhat dismissive within most areas of the hotel. My room was selected as a Superior Double. It was minute, without a bath, bathrobe and facing a stone wall from the window. I could not make phone calls as the outside line failed, despite following the Receptionist instructions. I unfortunately did not have my Mobile phone with me.
There were no staff to greet guests on arrival, into the Bar/ Restaurant area and, initially on my own, was not approached buy staff as I sat in what I believed was an area for a pre-meal glass of Champagne.
Location was lovely by the river. Breakfast was similar to that one would expect in a Canteen. Once more staff encounters were minimal. Really disappointing all around.

Booking.com says room with a view!! Absolutely NOT! the manager said that Booking.com are naughty for putting that because most of the rooms are not. we stayed on the opposite side room 410 to where the main reception was. The window had a view of the back road which was very noisy in the early morning with vans and cars to the train station and dropping off kids to school. The manageress also confirmed that it was a very noise road.
Running businesses for a living we are up early every morning so wanted a lay in, we never got that so we asked for a discount on our room. It was priced £180 for the night, over priced tbh The Premier Inn rooms are just as nice. when we expressed our disappointment she said we can’t do anything but to give back your £15 car park fee. I was very disappointed with that but didn’t want to argue with them. Breakfast was ok nothing special but staff are lovely and very friendly and accommodating. would I stay again? Probably not!

We needed to change rooms as had been allocated a room on the ground floor and felt a bit exposed as the room looked out onto a street. Travelling with my elderly mother I knew we'd probably be spending a good bit of resting time in the room. The hotel were very accommodating and found us a new room on a higher floor. They were very pleasant and polite about it all.
On our last night there was a lot of noise from neighbouring rooms. Door slamming and shouting. It made us feel a little bit unsafe but other than that incident the hotel was perfect.
