I had a single room in the "new" building, behind the original hotel building, that was a very nice and quite new room, with a nice and clean badroom, fridge, small desk and a 1 person bed.
The basefloor of the orginal building looked renovated completly and the restaurant and breakfast where very nice.
Looking out of the windows over the harbour and fjord during dinner and breakfast was very nice.
The bed had a very basic spring matrass, it was ok, but I expected a bit better.

We had a room facing the sea and that's what we like most, view was very good.
3.6
everything was easily accessible
the rooms could have been a small refrigerator

Severe noise from a nearby youngster party ruined the sleep late at night.

Perfect location for this hotel, close to the sea and marina. Sand is a small place and everything is near by. Visit the salmon area for salmon jumping in July. Very good breakfast and nice friendly staff, good beds and clean room Free parking.

The location was amzing.
From the time when I went until the time when i left i didnt see any staff on the reception.

Spectacular location.
On a motorcycle you are limited in eating places.
Nothing

Beautiful location,friendly staff
Bed was squeaky and uncomfortable

Location was beautiful.
Size of room (although we did have an “accessible” room! Lots of little touches made the room very comfortable.
Very good evening meal used local ingredients.
Breakfast was mediocre but perfectly acceptable.

Location is great, beautiful surroundings and a charming small town
The room was very outdated.
The bed was terrible. We asked for a double bed that turned into being two small beds out next to each other. The bed missed the upper layer of mattresses so was a terrible sleep. The pillow and duvet was really thin and felt cheap.
Breakfast was ok, but expect much more. It was constantly out of something and got the feeling they were saving money by delaying food to be placed out.
3.6
Everything - location, the view, breakfast.
Nothing.

Fantastic location on the edge of the water in a little village, good size hotel with safe parking. Nice walks to go on and the salmon viewing further down the road was very good. Evening meal was good, nice beer, breakfast was fine also.
A little dated in the room compared to other hotels but it was fine for me.

excellent location, very good brefast, easy check-in
nothing

Breakfast was ok.
Disappointed that we could not order dinner when seated outside, only pizza.

the hotel is in a beautiful location. the rooms are spacious. the rooms with a view of the water are recommended because of the great view. we had a quiet night and did not hear the other guests. the water system can be heard when the bathroom is used in the adjacent rooms. the breakfast is fine. the check-in and check-out times are long. (15:00 in 12:00 out) the employees do their best to make your stay as smooth as possible with the help of an automatic check in system. this works well, although this can be experienced as a bit impersonal. a personal check-in is also possible. the beds are good. the colors of the rooms are a bit dated but that applies to almost all hotels in Norway. the reviews on Google and elsewhere are more positive than on Booking.com.

Central location, friendly staff. Food very good. Open and spacious.
Maybe tea and coffee in rooms? Most hotels in UK provide that.

Breakfast was awesome, fjord view room was nice

There was parking space. Wifi is working well and fast. The young girls working there are nice.
They charge too much for what you get: I had a very small room with a view on a wall. I received a few emails in Norwegian, I replied saying "please I do not understand, write to me in English", never got a reply on it. No check-in while there was personel available (you receive a text). Breakfast was very disappointing: there was something wrong with the milk so your coffee tasted bad and it looked like something was floating in it. Will not stay here again nor do I recommend.

the room was big
the view from the hotel is nice
breakfast was good
the showers took more than 10 minutes to get hot water!
the elevator closes really fast and it almost KILLED ME!!
the room was next to the parking and it felt less private
I couldn’t understand the self check in process at all and needed the help of the staff to understand where the room is

not a great breakfast. Paying for the coffee.

The breakfast was ok and beds are comfy
Not sure if they are in a transitional period between owners at the moment - hotel currently is poorly run and confusing:
*Check-in process consists of receiving SMS with code for your room, that is all the info you receive.
*The single rooms are claustrophobic, felt like a prison cell
*The electric car chargers require you to bring your own charging cable. There is however a 50 kW charger further up in the village.
*The shower and toilet floors are originally black but had a white nasty coating, i didnt ask further - toilet was cleaned twice during my stay and they didnt do anything about it so i figure its permanent
*Breakfast is from 06-09 on weekdays, 06-10 on weekends, with hot food from 8 AM. This is not informed anywhere - there are no pamphlets with information in the rooms (no general info either) or posters in the hallways, reception, bar, no information about these hours are given in the "check-in SMS" process either. Normal hotel hours are usually until 10 AM regardless of weekday/weekend everywhere else, god forbid you go on a holiday and want to sleep extra. No alternative food available in the hotel if you miss breakfast - also the breakfast is 21 EUR per night.
*There is no wifi on the property
*Prices are just too high for what you get
