A really good hostel with private rooms and ensuite bathroom in Bodo

Exceptional staff, the Reception lady (Miss IGA) was so very helpful and welcoming. The free wifi and the kitchen facilities and appliances, the snow-white bed sheets, an towels, in perfect condition

There was a Dishwasher!

Room : The room was very comfortable. There were large lockers that required a padlock. Location: The hostel is part of Bodo Train Station. The kitchen/sitting area were excellent. There was a Dishwasher!

Good

The thing about the place is that nobody really wants to be there. A lot of people use it as a stop off on the way to the Loften Islands and end up overnighting at the hostel rather than wanting to to be there. Being just a few metres from the train station means its handy for an early morning train, although really you want to be on the train rather than the hostel. Others come to have a look round Bodø and quickly wish they were somewhere else. The staff also give the impression they would rather be somewhere else as well. In terms of facilities its all quiet functional. Several reviews have commented on the strange small in the place. Its reminiscent of a care home for the elderly, they must use the same ultra high strength distinfectant. The place is certainly very clean and may well bring back distant memories of visiting your elderly grandmother. You may not want to stay at Bodø Hostel & Motel but theres no reason not to join everybody else who doesn't want to be there.

near hurtigruten port and station. actually a part of the station !

I got off the hurtigruten ferry at 2am and this was the closest place. it’s a youth hostel. but I had a room to myself with bathroom.

my key was sketchy.

Good hostel, cheapest option in town

Very good location, above the train station. Access to the kitchen and there is a laundry set available. Everything mostly clean.

No staff to be seen most of the time. Clean and dirty laundry carts wandering around. Good, but oldish equipment. Only 1 bathroom/toilet per room. If it's shared 8-beds room, could quickly become quite frustrating.

The check-in was really easy, and there is all the needs including a well-equiped kitchen. The employees are friendly.

We went to Bodo in winter, during the night some trucks were taking off the snow in the the train station (between 2 and 4 am) that is just in front of the hostel, we cannot sleep at all during this time.

Cheap room, good for a less than 24 hour stay before my flight.

Good value for a single room in the area compared to other hotels and airbnb options.

The climate controls in the room did not work. The room was cold and the provided sheets had old blood stains on them that made me avoid using them.

Good area to view the northern lights!!!

Not far from the ferry port. The floors are very clean, and the rooms are also well-maintained. The beds are comfortable. The kitchen is well-equipped. The reception guy let me check in 2 hrs prior hence i was able to take a nap 😴 Also, the front area (near the ferry port) is a good area to view the Northern Lights!!!!

Exceeded expectations

Exceeded my expectations for a private hostel room. The bathroom had underfloor heating! I don't know why anyone would pay at least double this price elsewhere in Bodo for a hotel.
