Just about everything, very nice breakfast!
Good location and nice river view
Mosquitos due to the location near the river
4.3
Location. Close for everything.
Very good breakfast. Breakfast take away also.
4.3
great location and view of the river!
4.3
clean, roomy, very friendly, excellent at accomodating
4.3
the place is well located, near the bus stop to go to Machu Michu and the train station. That's all there is to say about it. You will probably stay only 1 night and that's more than enough.
just basic comfort.
Noisy restaurant and bars around and no isolation from the window.
4.3
A very sweet place. The lady and her daughter worked very hard running the hotel, the cafe on the ground floor and a shop. Ask for a room at the back, overlooking the river, rather than one at the front overlooking the railway line
4.3
Not very much.
Noisy, very old fashioned, no decent food, dogs barking during the night and early mornings. Workman banging until late at night then again early morning. It's not acceptable. I have travelled the world and Peru is the worst place I have ever been to and would never recommend anyone visiting. prices higher for tourists.
4.3
Very close to train station, well located and the price is affordable.
4.3
Good location (right by the train station), clean, very helpful staff!
It was all we paid for, simple but cheap, and a very friendly/helpful staff!

that was next to the river, beautiful view
nothing, all was good

Family atmosphere ♥️. Great breakfast. They feed us like family
Hot water could have been a little hotter

Hotel is in perfect location. Very close to the bus stop to go up to Machi Picchu. Owner of hotel was very kind to prepare us breakfast to take away at 5am.
mosquitos. when we arrived we were recommended to not open the windows because of mosquitos. we didn't but the room and aguas calientes in general is invaded by mosquitos. we were not prepared and didn't bring a mosquito repellent. would be nice to mention it on the description when it is such a big phenomenon.

This place is in a great location to grab the bus up to Machu Picchu. We were also pleased that we could store our luggage there while at Mach Picchu. We visited at the beginning of July and found it quite cold, so we were happy when we found out that they had a space heater we could use. They were also accommodating and made us a sack breakfast to take with us before they served breakfast. This place worked well for 1 night for our needs.
The room we had needs updating. One of the outlets needs to be replaced. Mold removal is needed from one wall.

Owner was really friendly and helpful. Location is fantastic with a beautiful view if the river.
We found some hairs that was not ours in the bed.

The location was Great and the Staff were wonderful.
We arrived early from a very long 2 flights and long layover in Lima. The staff provided us breakfast and allowed us into our room earlier than normal due to our circumstances.
Our first room had a terrible odor of sewer gas.
However, when we contacted the front desk about the smell, they immediately moved us to another room that had no issues.

Excellent location. Right along the train track where Inca rail and Peru rail stop. Our room had a view of the water running along the town. The owner/reception people were so friendly and my daughter had a great time playing with the family.
4.3
I was pleasantly surprised to have a room with a view to the river.
Staff doesn’t speak English.

good appartment

The view of the river was really nice, as they accommodated my request for a river view room. The staff was also very friendly and helpful. Timing of breakfast was flexible, and we could take it 'to go'. Very convenient location.
No safe in the room, the windows couldn't open as there were no screens and there were lots of mosquitos out. Mosquitos got into our room anyways. The bathroom window was in the shower stall and opened into the main hallway, so privacy couldn't be had if you wanted to vent out the steam. The water pressure wasn't that great and the water didn't get that hot.

Wonderful woman, easy and smooth, great room and location for the excellent price - highly recommended!
It's not luxury

The best view!

This room is facing a nice river view. It is simply but comfy. Shower water was nice and hot. Hair dryer was ready for me as I requested . Breakfast was better than other hotels in Peru. Staff was friendly and helpful.
Something was flying around the ceiling light then dropped onto the bed. I guess it's something natural in that area. Not a big deal but still not feeling comfortable.
4.3
Very nice, very clean room, window above the river, the ower as nice and caring like own mother.
Very good location (but Machu Picchu is small and many hostels are on the same street), close to everything, quiet, just perfect.
There are no dislikes, nothing to talk about.
4.3
Breakfast was very good and we had an excellent view of the river.

Super close to the train station - just a walk across the tracks. Nice view of the river out the window. Hot water and comfortable rooms. The river was noisy but provided almost a white noise for easy sleeping.
The staff we interacted with did not speak English even though most establishments in Aguas Calientes have English speaking staff due to the number of English speakers that travel to Macchu Pichu. That made it difficult to communicate about the timing of arrival and departure, and how and when to catch the bus to Macchu Pichu and whether or not we could store luggage (it turned out the answer was yes).
4.3
Super location, great starting to Machu Picchu.
Hostal very pleasant, clean with fresh bedding.
Reception staff didn't speak in English but was very nice. Good breakfast.
Only minus: noisy river near hostal, but we slept very well.
4.3
It is close to the train station.
The staff is unreliable, they told me they would be available in the morning for a early checkout ( has to climb the mountain by 6 and take the bus by 4:30) but no one was available until 5:15 ... And I lost the first bus and precious minutes with no rain (it rained all day long ) The don’t have fan in the bathroom so if you take a shower you will have vapor all over the room. In booking they said they will charge before I arrive but I was charged at the door and last but not least the room was close to a river and there is no noise cancelling so was unbearable for a light sleeper like me to rest... in a nutshell a horrible experience... really regret booking them...
4.3
Fantastic location, if you're not bothered by noise. Our room backed on to the river, which we loved. The sound of rushing water. My son thought we were having an earthquake but indeed it was the train, we loved that too. But as a heads up.. if you need silence to sleep :-) Madam was friendly, helpful and welcoming!
I didn't notice any fire alarms/smoke detectors in our room but had an escape plan.
