The location was excellent, and the staff very pleasant.
I think the lighting could be improved in the rooms, and the mattresses were not firm. It is an old building so there is no lift, and no coffee services in the rooms. The breakfast area is small and can be very crowded at Peak time.

Frühstück ist sehr gut, Personal sehr freundlich
Matratzen waren uns zu weich, Beleuchtung am Bett zum Lesen hätte besser sein können.
4.5
Alles sehr sauber, Hotelzimmer neu renoviert.

Perfect position, character building, good breakfast
No air conditioning, very hot. Would like to have slept better

location

many things
service
no aircon or fans
no lift
no parking
breakfast - tinned pineapple and fresh apples in fruit salad
promise for reduction of parking which never appeared
fact check out took over one hour- we had already paid in advance but they wanted us to pay again
ticks and lice in bed and bathroom
it was boiling hot- no water
we booked for two adults and one fifteen year old-
this was clear on the face of the booking, but we got a double bed and a cot
we got no apologies- eventually we were offered a single room for a fee, then we were told there was no such room
we were offered a room with a sofa bed for the second night- we were shown it and left to unpack- five mins later we were removed from that room and frogmarched to our old room
we were then offered a single room on a separate floor
we took it
it had bugs in the bed - visible ones and ticks in the shower and sink and god knows where else- not impressed
then it took over an hour to check out as lady on reception could not understand booking.com platform and thought we still had to pay for our rooms - we had paid up front
all in all diabolical

We had a fantastic stay at this quaint hotel. The location is great in a square in the old town. The staff were friendly, accommodating, and helpful. The breakfasts were good, unfortunately we didn't get to eat any other meals there but it's a lovely place to have a drink and watch the world go by. Both the exterior and interior give you a sense of the history of the building in a good way. Our kids (8 and 6) loved the bunk bed with sliding doors - they thought it was a den ;) The family room was spacious.
It was hot hot hot during our stay (around 35 degrees which we were told is very unusual) and we were on the third floor (it was hotter with each floor you climbed). The staff went out of their way to help by providing us with fans, but they struggled to really make too much impact against the heat. Not sure you can blame the hotel for this, but something to consider if staying in peak Summer

Excellent location and breakfast!
Parking is a Challenge

The Hotel Löwen-Weinstube is located in old town Meersburg, close to all attractions. It's a beautiful historical building. Our good-sized room had comfi beds and a modern bathroom. Breakfast was very good.
The hotel has vouchers for a free parking.
Parking lot is within 10 min walking distance.

Good location, comfortable bed and pillows, beautiful historical building.
All good, just a bit expensive.
4.0
Friendly and characterful. Lovely setting with plenty of local facilities. Comfortable rooms well maintained and clean
Basically unsuitable for people with disabilities. No lift, steps into the hotel and up to your room. No toilet facilities on the ground floor. Its a long, very steep walk to the lake! You are not able to park your car anywhere near the hotel.

Nice location in old part of town, excellent location.
Parking facility 8 minute walk
Well; room needs an upgrade. Room safe does not work (old & no battery)

beautiful historic building, the elderly gentleman at reception was so friendly, rooms very comfortable and great shower
dragging cases up to 3rd floor as no lift, but it’s an old building so understandable
4.5
The hotel is in the perfect location and gorgeous enough to be featured on half the postcards of Meersburg.
It has been updated. The breakfast was good and the room was clean and had all the advertised features.
The staff is courteous without being obtrusive.
It can be loud at night (Drunks coming from bars in the area) which can be an issue if you are sensitive to noise. As the hotel features no AC, you have to open the windows at night, which makes it worse. Also sound is amplified due to the city architecture. (All of this is in no way the fault of the hotel or it’s staff, but still needs to be noted)

Uncomfortable bed and pillow

The hotel is located in the upper part of Meersburg within walking distance of the lovely Lake Constance. It is in an historic building, with charming old features. While the furnishings are not new, they are updated and well maintained. The staff was accommodating and very friendly. Both the hotel and restaurant are dog friendly.
There was a snack and drink station in the hallway and a sideboard filled with pillows, in case you needed either.
The room was spacious and the bathroom newly updated (We saw older pictures in a review, but those were outdated). Although the bathroom was very small, it was quite sufficient and clean.
Housekeeping was excellent.
Breakfast was as expected, not fancy but appropriate.
The overall value was outstanding.
The parking was a quick walk away, which might be too much if you are not well on foot. The description of where to park to unload was a bit confusing for a first time visitor.
There is outdoor seating in the restaurant which may be noisy in the summer I imagine and there were nightly disturbances by drunk people in the square out front. (Which is of course not in any way the hotel‘s fault!)
3.0
Beautiful looking old hotel. You can drive in to unload bags and collect when leaving.
It was hard to sort out the parking - its out the town gate and to the right - and only c 30 seconds drive. But we thought the numbers on the card the hotel gave us meant specific spaces but that's not the case. Once youre above the first few floors you can park anywhere once you display the card - due to us not understanding the hotel staff, maybe they could have an explanatory card in a few languages. No lift in hotel and we were on 3rd floor and it was hard to carry the bags up. Least Covid precautions of the hotels we stayed in. Breakfast a bit chaotic - buffet in a separate room and not a great selection
