Schönes Hotel mit schöner Lage

Liegt schön im Grünen, hat ne tolle Küche und nettes Personal.

Etwas mehr vegetarisch/vegan auf der Karte wäre schön, frei nach dem Leitspruch „auch Vegetarier oder Veganer brauchen Proteine“

Wunderbarer Aufenthalt und bei Bedarf immer wieder!

Sehr geschmackvoll, gemütlich eingerichtetes Hotel, schönes Frühstück mit allem, was man braucht (Wurst, Käse, Lachs, Joghurt, Müsli, Marmeladen, Honig, Nutella), super sauber, toll angelegtes Grundstück, ruhige Lage, freundliches Personal.

Die Duschkabinen sind wasserdurchlässig, vielleicht kann man da noch Abhilfe schaffen

Mitten im Wald, schön gelegen und modern eingerichtet.

Absolut schöne Lage, ich konnte nach der langen Anreise noch eine schöne Runde drehen. Das Haus, die Außenanlage und die Zimmer sind modern und sehr geschmackvoll eingerichtet. Das Personal ist sehr freundlich und sehr hilfsbereit.

Teppich im Zimmer ist nicht so mein Ding, ich bevorzuge Böden, die gewischt werden können.

No access, no internet, no repeat visit

Arriving just before 20:00, I expected a small snack and a drink in the restaurant, followed by an early night. Unfortunately the hotel was dark on arrival, with instructions at the front door to ring a telephone number and an advice that as there was no mobile coverage, one could lock on onto the hotel Wi-Fi. The Wi-Fi, however, was down or out of range, so I head to head down to Bielefeld by car to get mobile coverage, and managed to ring a completely unapologetic host, who gave me instructions to access the lockbox. On my return, I found other fellow travellers in front of the door who also could not get access. What nearly annoyed me most was that while four of us were wandering through the hotel, trying to find a spot to access the Wi-Fi, as there was no internet in the hotel room, the hosts actually came down, so they must have been in the hotel all the time, but did chose not to react to the bell. They said the Wi-Fi was unfortunately spotty, but again, did not offer help, a drink or an apology. This is really not what I would expect when working in the service industry.

Nice location, bad/unacceptable facilities!

Nice location in a very quiet area (when there’s no wedding!!! at the restaurant). Very clean.

There was no hot water at the shower for one of the days I was there. Very disconcerting, couldn’t shower. The internet connection is a joke (so slow that even a page with just plain text wouldn’t load….and there is also not a good phone connection, no possibility to use mobile internet!). I was there on a weekend for work related purposes, there was a wedding and until late in the night it was really loud, sound isolation is a joke, I could hear the people on the floor like they would have been in my own room. I wouldn’t have booked (especially not for the price) if I would have known!!

Bad experience

My general opinon about this place is strongly influenced by the fact, that staff made me pay for my reservation twice: money was taken by the Booking system, nevertheless they expected me to pay with my credit card while checking out. Till now I haven`t recived any help form their side in solving the problem (after my multiple requests to the hotel on phone and online). They said: the problem is under consideration...!!!! Right now I am tryiny to get my money back via Booking.com, which requires extra paper work, thus I am not recommending this place, it hasn`t been a nice experience! Potential guests, be careful in situations like mine, when they ask you to pay (twice). Marta

Beautiful hotel with serviceminded staff. Definitely recommend it!

Beautiful and well restored hotel in a beautiful setting. Nice playground for the kids. Good outdoor space. Well cleaned and nicely decorated rooms. Comfortable beds. We asked for an extra bed for our 5-year old and the staff was very kind to put us in a spacious room with a sofa bed. very good service and English speaking staff.

Was looking forward to eat in their recommended restaurant but when we arrived we were told that it has been closed for some months, dispute it was supposed to be open according to Booking.com and their own webpage. The breakfast could have a bit more variation but it was sufficient.

A quiet night of rest at a scenic location in German countryside.

Everything at this hotel is great, really, but two things stand out perhaps. The first is the location: the hotel is located in a very pretty building in German countryside, with a charming beer garden on the side, and a great lawn at the back, surrounded by a glorious view of the surrounding forests and hills. And the second is the staff's attitude: on our short stay we were made feel very welcome and cared for, frankly I don't think we've ever stayed anywhere where the staff genuinely cared that much for their guests.

I have no idea what could go better. Our communications at the restaurant, perhaps? We weren't really offered any choice, I'm not sure whether that's because it was late already, or because there isn't much of a menu. Given that we were brought a simple but glorious meal accompanied by cold beer after that, it was hardly a problem. I'll take that kind of lack of choice every day.

Lovely place, multiple choices: families looking to enjoy time in the nature or romantic weddings

In approx 15 min away from downtown we found our-self surrounded by green, by a nice garden where kids loved the playground. It is a very well maintained location, clean and with attention for details. Hosts are helpful and kind. We will return next year.

We enjoyed the steak and a good wine during dinner, but we hope to have some desert next year! Eventually a home made apple strudel with vanilla sauce. :)

Great pit stop on our way to Rotterdam

Great location in the Teutoburg Forest, with spacious hotel room.

Design can be updated, to reflect current trends, however one must be careful not loosing place’s atmosphere :-)

Superb

Great place to stay when driving though Germany. Close to the motorway yet far enough away to forget your journey. Facilities get and the staff could not be more helpful. A hidden gem.

Great location, and lovely surroundings.

The room looked in need of refreshing. With a small baby and a dog, we were allocated a room on top floor at the front of the property where we could hear lots of loud traffic noise throughout the night. Not ideal.
