La Tzoumaz Chalet Pere Noel is equipped with a high chair and a folding travel cot (bedding not provided) suitable for children under 2 years old, and a second is available on demand on arrival. PetsWe’re sorry but Chalet Pere Noel is a pet-free property. Please browse our selection of pet-friendly rentals if you would like to travel with your pet.
ParkingAt least one car is advisable in both summer and winter. Parking for 2 cars is possible near to the chalet beside the road. A rough 20m footpath leads up through the garden to the chalet so it is not suitable for everybody. Winter tyres and/or snow chains necessary in winter due to village access roads. Contact us for railway or airport transfers.
WinterThe chalet is next to the BabyLift in the beginner skiing area of La Tzoumaz. Good skiers can reach the chalet on skis, and everyone else would need to walk only 100m to reach it. A short ski down the main piste brings you to the Savoleyres telecabin in a matter of minutes.
The modern high-speed telecabin carries you from La Tzoumaz up to the top of the Savoleyres in less than 8 minutes, from where you can decide to ski back on the quiet La Tzoumaz slopes or ski down to Verbier’s legendary slopes and world-class off-piste opportunities in the vast 4-Valleys ski area.
SummerIn the peak summer season (from early July to late August), we provide you with free VIP pedestrian lift-passes, half-price mountain-bike daypasses and a range of other discounts. The telecabin link to Verbier operates daily at this time of year from 08:45 to 12:30 and from 13:30 to 16:45, meaning that you can easily access the famous resort as a pedestrian, or accompanied by your bicycle or e-bike. For a small supplement you can even use a variety of mountain lifts to make your way up to Mont Fort at 3300m for the highest fondue in Europe and incredible mountain panoramas that include Mont Blanc and the Matterhorn.
In summer, the area turns into a hiking and mountain biking paradise, with hundreds of kilometres of marked trails criss-crossing the mountains, awash with alpine flowers and a range of wildlife to spot. Visit the Maison de la Foret with its wildlife exhibitions and its Five Senses Nature Trail, and the starting point of many beautiful hikes. The Bisses are relatively flat footpaths that follow the water as it trickles around the mountainsides, where for centuries farmers and villagers channelled the streams for their own uses. They have been preserved and can now be an incredible way to spend a day or more on easy hikes with stunning views across the Rhone Valley or over to the Massif des Combins. We will provide you with plenty of tourist information including our favourite suggestions for day trips that are easily reachable from La Tzoumaz, from spectacular gorge walks, cheese factories and roman festivals to rainy-day ideas such as underground lake tours. The road that winds up the mountain-top to the panoramic Croix-de-Coeur Cafe-Restaurant opens as soon as the snow melts and from here you can continue the drive (or cycle) all the way down into Verbier. Try not to miss the Swiss National Celebrations in La Tzoumaz on August 1st, or the famous festival of live music performances, the Verbier Festival, which runs from mid-July to the beginning of August.
For familiesThe centre of La Tzoumaz benefits from an outdoor ice-skating rink in winter, and a children's playground area in summer, with a rope-based agility park alongside more traditional equipment such as slides. A fun channel system with running water is built into the hillside to provide plenty of entertainment for older children too.
At the exit of the village the Domus playground is a fabulous spot, often bathed in late afternoon sunshine, with swings, a zipline, see-saw, climbing frames and even old tractors to clamber on. It is overlooked by an outdoor cafe (check opening hours) providing drinks, snacks and ice-creams. There are rabbits, donkeys, goats, and there is also rock-climbing on the local crag in the background (contact us for equipment and instructors).
The Maison de la Foret has a cafe area for drinks and snacks (check opening hours), wildlife exhibitions and its Five Senses Nature Trail with hands-on activities to borrow such as bird-whistling and learning to draw. The Nature Trail has disabled parking and is accessible to wheelchairs and children's buggies.
Right at the top of the village is the "Defis de la Riviere", which is equipped as an outdoor physical challenge area for older kids on the river. There are sensory walking areas for younger children and a basket swing, and also a picnic spot nearby.
A short drive down the valley takes you to the large lake at the Parc des Iles, with its playgrounds, high-ropes park, minigolf, restaurant, miniature train and more.

Decent stay
Cozy chalet, but it was too little for 8 people. Also, there is almost no isolation between the rooms, so you can hear any sound from the toilet/bathrooms and between the floors and rooms. all refurbishment is rather old and required renovation.
On a positive side, the location is great for skiing, on the way back you can reach chalet on the ski. Nice chimney. I also would like to tell that agency servicing this chalet is really great, they were very attentive to all our needs and fixed everything that wasn't in order in a few hours. The village and ski domain is good for all types of skiers including kids above 7 years. Also, for little kids there is snow garden just 5 min walk.

Beautiful New Years in La Tzoumaz
We had a great time.

Wonderful location for a Summer holiday
The view from the chalet was so beautiful and we were able to use the ski lifts to explore the area - Verbier ski slopes, woodland, glaciers, mountain tops, melt water streams and thermal baths.

Mooie vakantie

Sehr empfehlenswert.
Freundlicher Empfang. Haus klein und funktional. Es hat alles, was es braucht.

The chalet was comfortable and practical. The interior is outdated but had everything you need. Stunning view and you can ski to the chalet from the piste. To go to the supermarket or village is a long walk, better to drive and buy everything you need at once. The skiing in 4 vallees is great. La Tzoumaz is a characteristic Swiss mountain village, few restaurants and bars.

Lovely chalet in great location for skiing
Loved the stay in the chalet, with it's amazing views and super close to the slopes.
Although the kitchen isn't super modern, it's got absolutely everything you could wish for: oven, micro wave, kettle, coffee maker, nespresso machine...
Would agree with another reviewer, parking fine for one car, but two would be hard, certainly in snowy conditions. (Was no issue for us).
During the day it's easy to get to Verbier using slopes and ski lifts, but in the evening it's not, leaving you with a small selection of restaurants. (Again, no issue to us, we were there to ski, not for night life).
Would highly recommend for families.

Great holiday

Cosy chalet, well equipped, very good location.
We spent Christmas at the chalet and we had a wonderful week. The kitchen is very well equipped, we had everything necessary for preparing the Christmas dinner. There was even a Nespresso coffee machine. The access to the ski pistes is very easy, the chalet is in a lovely quiet area with a stunning view over the mountains. The ski school and the kids ski area are a few minutes walk away.
We had a wonderful week at the chalet and considering renting it next year again.

Very nice quiet place and chalet !
The chalet is along the ski slope in winter with safe access with the car ; just next to the lifts to 2.354m opening on a 410 km slopes domain !!! In the summer, lifts also operate partly and allow to reach Verbier center in 20' only with magnificent panorama : top !
