North Fork
The location is beautiful. It is relatively close to Yosemite, Sequoia and Kings Canyon National Parks. You still need to drive a distance, but the drives are beautiful. The location is very clean and Bob is a really nice host. We enjoyed having our morning coffee outside overlooking the beautiful mountain view. Has a small well equipped kitchen and an outdoor grill if you want to eat in. We will definately return.

Our most special trip ever!
We absolutely loved our stay and didn't want to leave. The studio was in the most perfect location and was so romantic and cozy feeling! The owner Bob was very friendly and great! This place will always hold a special place in my husband and I's hearts and we will definitely be staying here again. Due to COVID we had some changes to our initial wedding ideas and ended up having a Zoom wedding inside this studio and in front of the beautiful little fireplace. We couldn't have asked for a more special day. Thank you Bob and we will be back! Hopefully for our 1 year wedding anniversary on 2-22-22!! Until next time....

North Fork getaway, located close to Bass Lake and Yosemite.
Property looked just as it did on the website. Bob, the owner, spent some time around the firepit with us and is extremely friendly and helpful, without being intrusive. We will definitely stay at this property again!

Yosemite 2019
We were met personally by Bob and given many suggestions on the area. The setting is remote and quiet and the view is spectacular. We used it as a base camp for our daily trips to Yosemite, Bass Lake and Fresno. Felt like home. So much better to come back to than a hotel room. So nice to be able to cook and not have to eat out every night. You can't go wrong with this rental

We love Bob
Great location! Private and secluded property with a very peaceful vibe. Close to bass lake and Yosemite national park! Bob was friendly, really enjoyed bumping into him the morning we left and sharing a few stories. Such a special place, we will be coming back in the future for sure.

The Studio is perfectly sized and equipped for an incredible no hassle experience of the North Fork and Bass Lake area.

Nice retreat for a couple.
Beautiful place in a gorgous setting. While we enjoyed our stay very much, we did feel it was a bit overpriced and not suitable for more than two people.

Brief stay at Yosemite base
Clean, well equipped and beautiful location. Bob was an excellent host, making us feel welcome, providing extras like wine, a fire and netflix as well as detailed advice for visiting Yosemite, yet in no way intrusive.

Perfect for visits to Yosemite
My wife and I stayed here for two nights and we both agree it was the perfect choice. Bob has put together a comfortable home away from home. It's easy to see his commitment to quality and attention to detail in the construction of this studio apartment.
Yosemite is a short, relaxing drive away making this the perfect base camp for visits to the park. Other attractions like Bass Lake are also nearby.
Bob is the perfect host--even though we had not met before this visit, we felt like we were staying with a long-time family friend.
I have no hesitation giving this retreat my highest recommendation. You will not be disappointed!

Relaxing Loft
We can not say enough about this vacation rental. It was everything it was pictured to be and more. This rental was recommended to us and it definitely met our expectations. It was very clean and had all the amenities. We had everything we needed for a great vacation....Bob, the owner, had the loft stocked with all those little things you need but you don't want to bring/or you forget....like plastic wrap and sweeteners and more. We traveled to Yosemite each day about a 35 to 45 minute drive to the entrance. Each day we arrived home exhausted, so it was nice to have such a great place to sit outside and enjoy the view and relax. We definitely would like to come back for another stay and have some other site seeing on our list such as Bass Lake(which we found was very close!) and other places we found in the great info packet Bob had assembled.

Great studio and host
This was a perfect place for our week visiting Yosemite. Comfortable with all needs met. Did a lot of driving and returned "home" each day to a very relaxing place. Bob was available for giving advice and asking if we needed anything...kind of unusual and special treatment for vacation renters. Thanks, Bob!

Great Thanksgiving
My wife and I had the opportunity to rent this wonderful place for Thanksgiving and we have a wonderful time. It is nestled in a very quite area and has a big open space around. We reached in the afternoon and had some high quality time in the yard sipping wine on the picnic tables and watching the birds - was a little chilly, but I enjoy that. The view was gorgeous.
The suite is quite big, with a nice fireplace, kitchen, bed and bath area. Its about an hour from the Yosemite National park, but we did commute the distance twice. Is gets eerily quite at night - which we enjoyed.
Thanks
Ryan

So much better...
So much better then a hotel stay, the fine touches in this studio really make the place feel like home. Bob did a wonderful job when he designed and built this place to share with us travelers. The location is wonderful, the surroundings are peaceful, and the host is one the best. We had such a wonderful time that I expect we will return sometime soon. I definitely would recommend this place to everyone!

Stunning view...Perfect Getaway
This place has the WOW factor. The house is stunning and the studio was perfect for our 4 night stay. Bob has provided everything you need for a short or long term stay. The view from the balcony is spectacular, the lounge area and pool was a great spot to relax and sip a cocktail. My husband and I went to Yosemite twice. One day to Glacier Pt. and to hike Sentinal Dome, the other to hike Vernal Falls...This hike was pretty strenuous, and I thought I was in good shape..Bob took us to Angel Falls on our last day. It was the perfect spot to have some down time. Bobs place in North Fork is a !0 out of !0.. I am planning our next adventure, it may be Utah or we just might explore northern California...Bob we will be back....Thanks so much..Stephanie and Tom....Ontario...Canada

Sooo nice
This place is sooo nice! We travelled 3 wks through california and only stayed here for 2 nights, but this place is one of the best we stayed in by far!
Bob's place is clean, nicely decorated, has a beautiful view, and is fully equipped. Bob even provides a BBQ and outdoor fireplace. And I never saw so many hummingbirds and deer in the garden.
I celebrated my birthday away from home, but had one I will never forget. First went to beautifull Yosemite, then had a wonderful BBQ and ended by the fireplace for marshmellows. Later on, Bob joined for some wine and we had a wonderful talk about our lives and the surroundings.
Bob, thank you so much for all your care! We enjoyed this stay sooo much.

Excellent property outside North Fork
We had a very pleasant three night stay at this studio outside North Fork. The property is above the owners house (which he completely built himself, Bob the builder) but has a separate entrance with it’s own parking place. There is a very large garden with barbecue, sitting area and splash pool at the side and back of the house with spectacular views towards the National Park. On my first walk down the garden two deer met me!
The studio is comfortably furnished with widescreen TV with free film channels. There is also an iPod docking station.
The kitchen is well equipped with a fridge/freezer microwave oven, toaster and hotplate.
There is a good Wi-Fi connection and air-conditioning with a ceiling fan in the studio that brought the temperature down to an acceptable level.
A car is essential as the property is outside the town and local shops are about a km away.
There is plenty of information on places to visit in the property. We went to Yosemite National Park (note this drive takes at least one and a half hours on winding roads). Be careful if you undertake one of the walks in the park that you are up to it, ours was described as ‘moderate’ but would have been suitable for a mountain goat in places! Bass Lake is well worth a visit, lots of nice places for picnics and other water activities. Bob loaned us chairs and travel rugs to use.
Bob has really sat down and thought about what guests need in the studio, there are many little extras provided to make your stay comfortable, and it was nice chatting to him one evening.
We would use the studio again if in the area.

Such a special place...
If you are looking for a special place to stay in Yosemite - stop looking and just book this place! We stayed in some fantastic places during our holiday in California in August but Bob's place was by far the best. it is a beautiful, traquil setting, close to the park and the apartment itself is spotless and full of all sorts of things we werent expecting - like a coffee grinder for our morning coffee!! And Bob is the most fantastic host - welcoming, friendly and relaxed. We felt like we had made a friend by the time we left!! We also loved barbequing every night under the stars!!
I cannot recommend this place enough!!! We cannot wait to return.

Nice Stay
Stayed 3 nights. The place is beautiful and clean. Floated in the small pool upon arrival. Great views. Did Yosemite Valley one day and Sequia another day. Bob gave us beach chairs, umbrella and beach towels to use at Bass Lake. Nice added touch with fruit, wine, coffee and staples in refrigerator.

Amazing!!!
I happened to find Bob's place on a last minute search for a place nearby to Yosemite. I definitely got lucky in finding it because it ended up being nothing but perfect! My parents came from NH to visit my husband and I so we planned Labor day weekend to see Yosemite. Staying at Bob's place was great, everything you needed was there and he was an amazing host and great company too! We were only about 30 minutes or so to the South entrance of Yosemite. Also another plus was that Bass Lake was only about a 15 minute drive also. Lots of cute places to eat right on the lake, there is a market there too. We were able to get some food to grill out at Bob's place (of course everything was there that we needed!). Also upon getting there he had a fruit basket, and our now new favorite wine! Everything was so well thought out I couldn't have found a better place to stay. Also Bob was very accommodating to let us bring our dog "Barkley" (the pug) along too (he loves to travel with us if he can!).
Overall we had an amazing time and I'm so glad I came across Bob's place in my search. My husband and I will definitely be back again! I would highly recommend Bob's place to anyone looking to visit Yosemite or just get away to a nice relaxing spot!

We recently stayed at this lovely apartment in the middle of the foothills in the middle of California. We stayed 4 nights and had a wonderful time, the accomodations ae great, pretty much everthing a couple needs for a 4 day stay, we could actually live here for awhile with everything Bob has provided.
We had 2 bottles of wine waiting for us and a goodies basket full of things to eat and some other nice things in the fridge. The apartment size is great and everything is very nice and clean and pretty much new. A very nice large gas fireplace is a great added bonus, flip the switch and you have a nice fire, flip the switch by your bed and turn it off to sleep. Nice bathroom with a shower and sink and comode. Most everything you need is in the kitchen for small meals, "hey you are in California, wine, cheese, fruit and crackers works". You couldn't meet a nicer guy than " Bob the Builder", very warm, friendly, helpful, sincere and full of information to help make your stay great.
If we lived within 300 miles we would be there every month. You folks that are in the area needd to check this out, at night it is so quiet you can hear your heart beat, and there are deer, california quail, western bluebirds and other wildlife and birds on the property.
I am a professional nature Photographer from Colorado and Yosemite has been on our bucket list for a long time and we took this time in late April to go. You can drive to the Park entrance along a beautiful road past a lake in 35 minutes. There is a grocery store and a gas station with groceries just around the corner in North Fork, Oakhurst and other towns are nearby.
We have stayed in some nice places and this is on the top of our list for price and quality. We went from here to Santa Barbara and stayed at Creekside Montocito, in Montecito south of Santa Barbara, 3 blocks from the ocean and close to everything, another great place.
Don't miss out on this great place.

I stayed a Bob’s studio in April for a week of hiking in Yosemite and Sequoia Parks, including kayaking on beautiful Bass Lake. The studio was the perfect location to start my travels every morning and warm and cozy to come "home" to every night.
The room is absolutely beautiful … just as the pictures show. Everything I needed for my weeks stay was there, including a basket full of fruit and snacks perfect for hiking. What a beautiful view from the porch and the picnic area.
Bob was great ... very friendly and helpful. He let me borrow his beach chair and cooler for the week. I highly recommend this place to anyone … whether staying for a day, a week or longer. I hope to return soon!

We had a wonderful 8 days getting away at this studio retreat in North Fork, CA. The studio retreat had everything we needed. It was cozy and warm and very comfortable! It had everything you need for a home away from home including a romantic fireplace and a beautiful view. The outside picnic and BBQ area was so fun! We looked forward to seeing the family of deer that came to visit us every dusk while we were enjoying the fire pit and star gazing in the beautiful natural surroundings. Our host Bob was very hospitable, friendly and attentive to every need we had. The hospitality basket that included two bottle of wine was a great surprise! It was great location to visit Yosemite National Park, Bass Lake, and Oakhurst. We would highly recommend this great retreat get-away whether you are planning to stay for two days or ten days.

My family and I stay with Bob for ten days. We had the most amazing time ever! The room was homey, and clean, and the details were incredible. We enjoyed the cozy fireplace, and loved having cookouts by the fire-pit. Bob thought of everything it seemed. Charcoal for the grill, and also the fruit basket and the refreshments were a sweet surprise as well. We'd highly recommend this to anyone looking for an affordable place to stay while visiting Yosemite or the North Fork area.

We are on an extended holiday in the USA from England. We decided to stay 4 nights in the area of Yosemite and we really struck lucky when we found Bob's apartment.
North Fork has all the facilities you might want, including a supermarket, the Buckhorn Saloon (which serves good steaks) a Mexican restaurant and also a gas station (which is quite important if you do a bit of touring around).
The apartment is very comfortable and and we really appreciated the 'welcome pack' provided by Bob. This includes fruit, soft drinks, snacks and even wine.
The location would be good for a 1 week holiday. We went to Yosemite for 3 of our days but there is lots to do in the local area. Bass Lake (particularly the south side) is ideal for a bit of pottering and perhaps swimming.
