About this house rental
Fully renovated, well - lit, minimally furnished, ground floor one bedroom apartment, in a craftsman two- story home, in a tranquil scenic setting in a luxurious and quiet neighborhood central to the hub and bustle in Los Angeles.
There is AC -- if you don't see it listed in the amenities -- I do have it.
A unique craftsman home, with canyon views and your own private enclave with private entrance. The house is set far back from the street and is far from nearby homes on all sides. It's a wonderful place for someone looking for a spot to retreat after work, as well as suitable for travelers that would love to visit Universal Studios, Hollywood or that have work at the studios in Burbank or Hollywood.
Built- in sleeping nook for naps and lounging in the living room. Mature trees flank the property on all sides creating a quiet and peaceful haven on cul de sac street in a lush environment. High gloss cement floors, a little sleeping alcove in the living room and a separate bedroom with an ultra comfortable queen bed. Lotsa Pillows. Travertine floors in bath.
**Please note: I do not have a full bathtub but a great tile shower with two hand-held shower heads.
The entire apartment is naturally very cool in the summertime and temperate in the winter. Little patio table for lovely breeze for morning coffee right outside front door. Funny heart throb pups will bark breeze by for their walks....
Please note that I play the piano, and occasionally practice, but can work with your schedule if this is a concern. Idea for single travelers and single occupancy. Parking spot is safe and off street.
THE NEIGHBORHOOD
Overview:
A beautiful, hilly neighborhood, a hub to central LA with peace and quiet. Hiking right out the door. Entertainment industry executive heavy, musicians, writers, artists, celebrities, stars, and we are surrounded by incredible flora and fauna, mountains and vistas.
We are 5 minutes from Universal studio and the new Harry Potter attraction, a short walk to Runyon Canyon. Hikers paradise -- you can walk out the door and start hiking, we are 5 minutes from Hollywood, Studio City, Burbank, Mullholand Drive, Beachwood Canyon, Laurel Canyon (about 10 minutes), Burbank, Warner Brothers, and other studios. 40 minutes from Beaches.
Drive along Mulholland Drive going west for spectacular vistas. It's a great way to head for the beach and Westside. I would also suggest walking in the area -- the hills make a great hike/walk and the surrounding houses are beautiful.
I also recommend driving through the hills to Beachwood Canyon, and Franklin Village for a coffee at the Oaks Gourmet, a casual spot that is a favorite. If you drive through the hills you will pass the area around the Hollywood sign and Lake Hollywood.
Hollywood -- less than ten-minute drive-- has the massive Hollywood Farmers Market on Sundays 8am - 1pm
Arclight Cinema, Amoeba Records, Trader Joes’s, innumerable places to eat, nightspots, clubs, cafes, the Hollywood Walk of Fame, Grauman's Chinese Theatre, The Egyptian. The Hollywood Bowl is about 10 minutes away.
Getting Around:
As stated above - the location is ultra central. I can't think of a better place then Cahuenga Pass for being right in the thick of it, yet not in the thick of it, all at once.
The traffic in our area is extremely light by LA standards. Very little congestion in the surrounding environs.
If you need to do errands Burbank, Toluca Lake and Studio City are wonderful and serene. Driving in and around the hills is tranquil and beautiful.
Easy access to ridesharing services, and delivery apps like Postmates and Doordash. The bus stop is 1/4 mile away. Walking distance to eateries, and Cahuenga Boulevard West. There are stairs down to Adina Drive/Oakshire and also toward Cahuenga. Redline metro is 5-minute drive and park at Universal City and hiking right out the door.
Off -street parking for you in the driveway. There is additional street parking on Woodrow Wilson Drive.
OTHER THINGS TO NOTE:
I have two tiny little dogs that live upstairs! They love people and other dogs and they will love you! They may bark to greet you but after we've met, you're their new best friend. They are great guard dogs, and the area is really safe nonetheless, it's nice to have them be so alert! The garage is my artist's studio. We live in a creative thriving environment.
Please note that there will be a pet fee per pet charged of $125. $25 a night for shorter stays.
In addition, there will be a cleaning schedule for longer stays of $100 per month. (this is for a stay of longer than 3 weeks). We are happy to clean twice a month: one is a touch-up and the other a full clean, but the charge, either way, is $100 per month in addition to the booking -- which can be paid through the site.
There is a laundry about 2 miles from the house on Vineland and Moorpark, The Neighborhood Laundry.
