Our overall trip was wonderful. We appreciated the coziness of the cabin and the surrounding property. Our kids loved walking around with our dog. We took advantage of Big Trees State Park as we as the brewery.

Was what I was looking for

Dark photos hid things like carpet padding coming out from the floor in the upstairs bathroom and a very dusty and very lived in space. This felt like I was in someone else's space a bit too much. Pots and pans had many caked on stains and grime so we microwaved everything and ended up buying paper towels and paper plates.

Despite no TV which wasn’t necessary this place rally grows on you over time. The kids loved it and the host, Robin was super friendly and accommodating. Unlike other rentals — this home is lived in by the hosts so their personal touch and 60s flare is on filial display. We had a great time! Keep in mind, the stairs are quite long to get to the main door and there are stairs of course to the loft so if that’s an issue this might not be the place for you. Otherwise, soak up the chill, warm, groovy vibes ingrained in the home and enjoy!

We had a lovely time in Arnold. The lakes, we went to three, we all beautiful and with such warm temps, the water felt great. The cabin truly is right out of the 1970's but everything is clean and well kept - it's a trip and took me straight back to my childhood memories.
Our son and dog both had so much fun running through the woods, splashing in the lakes and enjoying the stars!
Thank you Robin for a great stay!!

Step back in time
I really enjoy the house, The only thing that I would change would be to take more of the personal belongings off the side tables where people sit and next to the bed. put those away because it was hard to put a soda or glass of water. I felt like I was intruding on the space but I really liked it overall. Would recommend if you want to unplug from electronics.

Sweet cabin in the woods
We loved our stay here! Full of nostalgia, especially if you were a kid in the 70’s to 80’s. My 8 year old was intrigued with the decor and throwback technology. Of course, the WiFi works great and there are plenty of outlets for your devices. Amazing location, communicative hosts, comfy beds, wood burning stove, and even a babbling brook runs by…

Snowy stay at mountain retreat
What a nice cabin to spend a weekend. Wooded surroundings, comfy beds, great vibe to the cabin. All four of us (adults) enjoyed the laid back feel and the sense of quiet. Away from the highway, but not too far over well maintained and plowed roads from Highway 4. The dogs thought it was a great place too. Everything worked & plenty of hot water. Highly recommend this cabin!

Fun cabin in the woods
We had such a great weekend at this cabin. It is in a quiet part of Blue Lake Springs and is cozy and comfortable. It’s less than five minutes to the rec center and our kids had the best time in the pool. Our doggo was super happy there too. Would definitely love to rent again.

We had such a great weekend in this cabin.
Easy communication with owners. The cabin had a awesome wood burning fireplace. We had so much fun playing board games around it. Nice to get away from TV, computers and technology.

Christmas getaway
We enjoyed our stay in the 70’s themed cabin in the woods. The wood stove kept the cabin comfortable. Lighting is low, orange and green bulbs do not give much light. Great location and beautiful scenery. Allowed our dogs and cabin does not smell like pets. We will return.

Wonderful and cozy!
What a great place! We took our kids (ages 4 and 2) for a little getaway and this cabin is perfect. The deck is huge and has a beautiful view. Owners are great and very helpful/available. My kids keep asking if they can go back. We definitely will!

Such a wonderful getaway
Such a gem of a cabin! Stayed here with my dog and a couple friends / family for a relaxing birthday getaway. Being 6 months pregnant and all the lockdowns due to covid this was absolutely perfect! Very private lot with no close neighbors, completely stocked kitchen with any dish / utensil you would can think of. Dog bowls were even set up inside if you planned on bringing a furry friend! We were able to have an amazing time and still abide by the restrictions! So much land around to explore and an amazing wrap around deck to enjoy your morning coffee or a cocktail while the sunsets between the trees! Cabin was very homey and had vintage vibes to it! Stay here, you won’t regret it!

Wonderful cozy cabin in the woods
We had a great stay. The cabin is clean well stocked and cozy. The location may be the best part-its close to town but the property has a lot of space so you do get that off the grid feeling with the amenities of town. The owner and communication was great too. Would definitely return.

Lovely
My fiance and I had a great time! The cabin was perfect. The view and the little trails around the cabin were beautiful. We had a nice night of board games around the fire place. I loved the rustic 70s style of the decor. I felt like I was staying at a relatives place. Love love loved it. My fiance and I would stay again.

Our stay was everything we hoped for. Relaxing, beautiful, kid friendly and (fun-cabin reminded me of my youth in the 60’s) best of all owners were GREAT! Will definitely return as often as we can.

Dirty Gross Disgusting
The outside is beautiful easy check-in. we arrived around 430ish walked in to the Cabin to a disgusting smell. We ventured in, unloaded the cars. Hauled everything up a ton of stairs, i wouldn't recommend this place for a family with kids. As we went into the rooms we notice a stocking was left on the floor in one of the rooms. The house is very cluttered and dusty and dirty. The beds in one of the rooms were air mattresses which was not stated on the Ad. We settled in and started to put our one night of snacks and drinks in the fridge, the fridge was filthy!!! rotten food, barely any room for our stuff, so gross! there is not much comfort in the house not a comfortable place to just hangout with friends or family, there is a small couch and 2 chairs that were not comfy at all. it was a good thing one of the 5 cancelled because she would have to sit on the floor or a dinning chair. The outside was lovely and great weather. Someone left a window open and since it was rainy/snowy it was freezing in the house and it took at least 2 hours to warm it up with the iron stove. the wood for the stove was all the way down the many stairs and at the bottom by the cars. It was a hassle to go down and get some at 11pm at night. there were trash in the trash cans from previous guests and or owners i am unsure. the place was dingy and dirty! they had USED bars of soap EWW! had cracks and dirt and hairs from other people that were not us! The other bed that were actually real mattresses were very hard! I opted to sleep on the couch because i was so grossed out. My friend took the upstairs bedroom and she climbed into bed and noticed "weird" stains. she thought maybe it was laundry stains which happen, but as she got in bed and she felt something at her feet! she pulled the covers back and there were an inside out pair of pants with a DIRTY crouch! we about died! but as late as it was and as far as we were from home we had her sleep on one of the other beds and i was happy i chose the couch! There were soooo many things wrong with this house we were so very disappointed as this was our annual girls trip. If i could give ZERO stars i would! i do not recommend staying here unless you enjoy paying to live in someone elses filth!

Great Location!
The location is really beautiful. Cabin backs up the State Park land and nearest neighbor is far enough away that it feels like you have the forest orally to yourself. The cabin is really cozy. Our family really enjoyed our stay.
