Beautiful grounds, and we appreciated the perfect distance from town!

The customer service was outstanding! From check-in to check-out, the staff was always available and very helpful with arranging our transportation via golf cart and with arrival and departure. The property is well kept and not too busy or noisy.
The only complaint I have is subjective so it may not affect everyone. The bed was a little too soft for my old back. My preference is nice and firm.

The area, facility, and people are awesome
It was a bit far from town but that’s part of what I also like, would like the water taxis back!

I love the exclusiveness.
I loved the resort
I loved the cleanliness
I did not like that there was not a store on the resort.
I did not like that there was only one restaurant.
Restaurant employee attempted over priced food to keep the extra money.

I enjoyed the quiet and serenity of the property. It was well maintained and kept in great condition. The pool was wonderful and having the hammock for evening relaxation was really nice. The food and drinks were great and reasonably priced.
The ocean at the resort you can not swim at this time due to the sargassum in the water. The staff did their best to stay on top of it each day however you could not swim in the water as a result. Secret Beach is a short golf cart ride away so that was fine.

Beautifully maintained property. Quiet.
The wind is very uncomfortable. Restaurant staff served several meals not as I requested.

The apartment was so lovely, modern but traditional and extremely clean; it was also very well equipped, we even got a welcome coffee pack and rum punch! The bed was unbelievably comfortable, the best we have ever slept in! The resort itself is absolutely beautiful and the atmosphere was so calm and relaxed. We swam every day and getting a sunbed was not an issue whatsoever! The fettuccine Alfredo from the dinner menu was one of the best things I’ve ever eaten! The staff were always very helpful and accommodating. Free bikes to explore if you don’t mind cycling along a busy(ish) straight road with a few trucks and lots of golf buggies.
Quite far North and pretty isolated compared to a few of the other resorts a bit further South, so if you like to go out and about you definitely need a golf buggy ($50 US for 4hrs so quite expensive). The sargassum (seaweed/algae) is a real issue at the moment so you can’t swim in the sea. But the staff are trying really hard to clear it from the beach. We ordered a starter of croquettes and we got about 5 tiny chicken bites with a large side of Cesar salad (which was really nice) but it was just not what we were expecting.

Location was great! 30 minute bike ride to Secret Beach and 20 minute bike ride to San Pedro.
Have hotel staff manage water sports and activities, not a tour guide. We were not allowed to take out kayaks to snorkel the reef on a day when winds and current were low, however the tour guide said we can pay for someone to take us out!

we liked everything!

Again ... weather over Xmas was awful... but nowt to be done about that so we looked across the region to head elsewhere but turned out there was little point... so we stayed a few more days... the apartments are v decent in fairness and the views out to the reef are great... once the weather improved and we could snorkel and kayak it helped!
Same as before the reception staff are pretty hopeless... got randomly chased down for payment whilst walking x the beach ... having already paid on booking.com
Asked for a bottle opener for the room was told "no"
Huge and circular and pointless discussions about room availability being told one thing for it to change within 2 sentences and then again x3 more...
Just not good enough
Kind of felt like they had had bad experiences with people not paying in the past so everything was contractual even the bloody beach towels...
Am saying the property meets expectations cos the apartments themselves are good and the place is well maintained ... and the 2nd room/ bed were just fine...

Views from the apartment
The grounds/ beach were very well maintained
Beach/tiki bar and staff were okay and their fresh seafood was good.
First bed ... aptmnt A1 like a marshmallow
Staff generally have no idea about hospitality
Only one staff member had any sense of what a "customer" is.
Terrible WiFi
Quite a way out of town on v poor road..... Best time on golf buddy was 35 mins... caning it

Beautiful resort, great beach near the reaf, 2 pool, very comfortable room and great king bed, very quiet. We had a sea view villa and it was amazing. They have an agency arranging tours on site / very helpful and complimentary cayak and bikes!
Lack of choice at restaurant. Retaurant and bar closes very early before 9pm and even on New Year evening / they could have organized an event. Last it is far from San Pedro but we choose it for that to have peace and relax.

The staff were utterly amazing at X’Tan Ha. In addition the hammock on my balcony was my favorite spot! Beach is very picturesque.
The resort had some of the most unreliable internet I experienced during my entire stay in Belize. In addition, you can’t really swim here.
3.5
The place was clean and friendly and offers great views.
The bed was on the hard side and the location was very far from town. If the roads were paved I might consider it again but until then...

Staff was incredible, the quiet and and the ocean access beach were great. Food and drink very good as well
Sucks about the sargasso :(

Great location on the beach however far away from town. We had free bikes to roam around
Potholes all over the route from San Pedro harbor to the hotel! Lol
4.5
Beautiful place and beach, far off San Pedro, very friendly staff, kayaks & bikes for free
You need a golfcart to get anywhere, worth to book in advance

The staff was exceptional! Gian was the hardest worker there. He ensured the sargassum seaweed was kept off the beach every day. Mitch and Allison did a wonderful job attending to all the meals and drinks. Andrew, the site manager does his absolute best to make sure you are comfortable. Overall, the resort was excellent!
We stayed for 4 weeks and would of liked to have had a stove and/or bbq. Some of the other units do have stoves.

The place is “remote” - away from all the crazy golf carts or vendors approaching you on the beach. Staff is attentive and kind. Nicely maintained property with plenty to do… while comfortable for relaxing. We rode the bikes 6 miles to Secret Beach to see what the buzz was about, and we quickly decided to return back to our much quieter beach and room at X’tan Ha.
Though the food at the restaurant is good, we probably should have brought some with us since there are no grocery stores or other restaurants nearby.

Breakfast had several selections. Usually came with fruit. Everything is fresh. The maid service was good. They are eco friendly & clean every 3 days. They respect your privacy.
No shuttle service to town. Most of the road is unpaved and there are a lot of pot holes.

X'tan Ha was undergoing construction so we were settled into their sister property, the Belizean Shores Resort. The staff was very friendly, kind, responsive, and did a great job of tidying up/housekeeping. The bed could have been more comfortable. They did a great job of welcoming us for our honeymoon. We enjoyed sitting outside on our patio overlooking the ocean. A quiet, clean and comfortable stay. The Tuff 'e Nuff tour operator was conveniently located at the dock in front of the hotel and we briefly used the kayak and booked a snorkeling tour of Hol Chan and Shark Ray Alley. We were able to rent a golf cart for trips to town and around the cay. We ordered a few meals from their restaurant and ate in our room. Thank you very much, we had a lovely stay.

X'Tan Ha is amazing. It's a terrific getaway location, perfect for when you mostly want to be able to walk out onto an amazing beach, relax at a pool, and drink yummy drinks on the pier.
- The beach opens up with clear warm water for a good space that's shallow, so perfect for just lying out or playing with the kids. After that there's a patch of seaweed which brings in a lot of fish so it's super easy very rewarding snorkeling. You can take kayaks and stand-up paddle boards for free out past the seaweed and within 10 minutes, you're in the clearest, most turquoise-glass water I've ever seen, and it's not even more than 8 feet deep for hundreds and hundreds of meters. The water is seriously magical and it's an enormous area of pristine crystal clear water over white sand.
- There are two pools, one shallow one more for lounging or just lying down in the water next to a nice pyramid water feature, and one more for swimming.
- The staff are wonderful, incredibly friendly, super helpful, and always happy to make your stay terrific.
- We were lucky to get a free upgrade to an ocean-view room. The room itself was very decent. Came with a full-size fridge and a mini stove. Bed was comfy. Couch was a futon, was comfy too. The view from our second-floor balcony was incredible. Truly, waking up to this ocean view is worth it.
- The food at the restaurant was pretty good, with a very decent breakfast, lunch, and dinner menu, with lots of options. I wasn't a fan of their spinach, but their shrimp and fish preparation was very tasty and had some really tasty sauces. Vegans would have trouble, vegetarians don't have many options.
- The wifi was a decent speed and seemed to be well-reaching as far as I could tell. Around 2 Mbps up, 2-4 Mbps down. We had it reliably in our room.
If you want seclusion from the town scene, with a phenomenal beach, the location is perfect. But it is far away from town (about a 30 minute drive). This is obviously not the property's fault at all. There are some restaurants and bars closer than that (about a 5-10 minute drive), but if you did want to check out other places to eat and drink, you'll probably want to make a day of it. The golf-cart rental was also quite pricey ($50 US for four hours, not including gas). So all this to say, the location is not a real negative because it depends what you're looking for; just something to be aware of.
- You'll also need to adjust to the tap and bath water; it's treated salt water. The scent and taste is quite noticeable. They do provide a complimentary drinking water cooler in the room; I ended up using that water when brushing my teeth. But the shower uses the treated salt-water.

The individual houses were great and two air conditioners in the house. Everything you need to cook food is in the house including free coffee. The pick up from the water taxi was great.
The cost of drinks and food was quite expensive. It made more sense to rent a cart than to eat at the restaurant on the resort.
