This is a beautiful building in an amazing location. The staff are simply amazing and are always happy to help with any requests and are very patient and understanding. The breakfast was excellent with many different choices and plenty of fresh fruit and vegetables. The views of the golf course and mountains are spectacular. Although we didn't get to play the course because of golden week, we would love to play a round next time we are in town.
The rooms need some attention. The building is quite old which lovely but the room amenities are too. Simple things like shower and bathroom facilities are more like you would find in a 3 star hotel and detract from the luxury of the property. We booked a superior twin room and the bathroom is tiny. Shower is in a small bath in a tiny room and the beds can't be pulled together. We upgraded to the premiere room which was so much better, although the amenities were still lacking, it was much more comfortable. It seems many of the properties we stayed at in Japan have been hit hard by the pandemic and require some upgrades. Regardless of all this we would definitely stay here again.

Wonderful hotel. Has the old castle feel. Big rooms, our rooms overlooked the golf course and onto the mountains. Very comfortable beds, has natural hot springs baths, will stay here again. I recommend this hotel as it exceeded my expectations.

Friendly staff, good scenery of golf course
Rooms not soundproof, outdated rooms - pretty old despite exterior, expensive for one night stay

Tranquil location and tasty breakfast. The room, dining area and onsen appeared to be clean and well-kept.
Breakfast costs almost 4,000 JPY per person, which is unreasonable for what you get. We had booked for two adults and two children, which somehow meant only three beds, all of which were "twin" (single) beds, which were too narrow to share comfortably. We were on the ground floor (although it is labelled "3rd floor"), and right outside our window was a putting green, so it did not feel private at all. Overall the room was fairly small for a family of 4.

The empty onsen (at some times)!
The nice hotel and staff.
The free shuttle service from Odawara and the shuttle to the bus stop.
Spacious room!
The location is quite isolated with no many options for dining. The hotel offers what it looks like a really nice menu but it's pricey to our standards.
Also the breakfast seemed pricey. It's just a pity because maybe with better rates you could do a beautiful all in!

We had a great stay in the Hakone Sengokuhara Prince Hotel! Our room wasn't even the most expensive and yet it was super fancy, very big, and with views of the mountains. Everything was so peaceful and cozy! We also got a very nice breakfast with incredible views. On our way back, the hotel provided a shuttle for free that took us to the station so that was super appreciated! We loved it!
You need to walk a little bit from the bus stop to the hotel. Nothing dramatic, just a 10 min walk, but it was a bit tiring because we were carrying our luggage.

I liked the onsen the most but there is only women and men separately, you can’t book private time for the family, so the family will be split. Thare is nice hike close by with a great view of Mount Fuji.
Snacks at vending machines - very limited selection.

The hotel offered shuttle busses to a couple key locations which was very helpful. The rooms were spacious.
