Excellent place to stay! Highly recommend.

The staff were amazing, nothing was too much trouble. They were very accommodating. Also recommend booking yala safari through them as we got a private jeep and excellent driver (we saw a bear). Breakfast was simple but delicious and they gave us a pack lunch breakfast for the safari. I highly recommend staying here, was such a relaxing place to stay. The pool was great and the outside is bustling with nature too!

Some of the items on the menu was unavailable but I think that was due to it being quite quiet in the hotel.

A very peaceful place to stay.

Spacious room and very comfortable beds. Staff were lovely. They arranged a great safari for us. Lovely swimming pool and gardens.

Beautiful hotel

This is a great hotel, very calm and peaceful with the cleanest pool l've seen in Sri Lanka. Nice big comfortable room with efficient AC. The food in the restaurant is excellent. I had a Sri Lankan chicken curry which was so tasty and delicious. The staff are lovely, very friendly and helpful. Even if you're not staying here it's a great place to come and eat. Although it is a fairly new hotel its decor is old colonial style with period furniture. Prices are very reasonable which is an added bonus.

Nothing, we loved it and wish we’d stayed longer, 2 nights just wasn’t enough!

Schöne entspannte Tage Nähe Tissamaharama

Das Personal war sehr nett, Vorallem der kleine alte Mann ist die gute Seele des Hauses Der Pool ist sehr sauber und wird öfters gereinigt. Das Essen war sehr lecker

Def Preis für ein Bier ist völligst überteuert Für einen halben Liter zahlt man 1200LKR das sind umgerechnet 3,50€.

Superbe séjour !

Nous avons passé une superbe nuit dans cet hôtel de charme doté d'une très belle et grande piscine. Nous avons été accueillis par les maîtres des lieux qui du fils à ses parents se sont montrés d'une grande bienveillance et d'une extrême gentillesse. Les chambres sont spacieuses et très propres, elles sont meublées d'un mobilier vintage qui en assure le charme. La salle de bains est grande et très fonctionnelle. Le restaurant est de bonne qualité. L'hôtel peut vous réserver le safari dans le parc de Yala et vous offrira un super petit déjeuner à emporter. Notre chauffeur du jour était super et ne s'est pas contenté des grands axes en empruntant des chemins de traverse à la recherche du fameux léopard et ses autres compagnons. Nous avons vraiment apprécié notre séjour dans cet hôtel.

Great facility with bad staff

Beautiful location and cozy rooms, the pool was clean and refreshing. Breakfast was good. 5 minute walk to thissa lake, not much of a view from the room balcony apart from the pool view. Worth the price with the facilities they have.

They messed up the breakfast count and reprepared, but missed our dessert. the service was not up to standard, they delayed our rooms. Not even a single room was ready when we arrived. It took some time to clean them even when we informed them of our arrival time. When we requested for morning tea the staff member had forgotten it until I reached back. One Staff member was very rude and they messed up our payment also, but anyhow sorted it out.

Exceptional

Kanishka and his family, a friendly host, food was fabulous, our Yala trip was arranged with a nice driver and a vehicle. When we had to check out early due to a family commitment, they did not charge for the second day, it was remarkable.

There weren't tea making facilities at the room.

Possible starting point for yala, but not recommended

The hotel arranged safari in Yala for us in a comfortable and new car.

WiFi did no work, swimming pool contained too much chlorine and there were no curtains (hence we woke up very early)

Fantastic place with lovely staff!

We had a lovely stay at Sanam. The staff were so friendly and really made our experience even better. The pool is lovely and the room was big and clean.

It’s a little far out from Tissa town but it wasn’t a problem as they organised a tuk tuk for us and our safari tour guide picked us up from the hotel.

Favorite hotel in Sri lanka

My favorite hotel in Sri lanka!!! The pool was a perfect way to chill after a big day at the safari. The rooms are big, clean, AC works well, warm water etc. But mostly the staff is exceptionnal! They go out of their way to make you feel welcome and a part of family. They even woke up at 4:30 am as we were leaving for our safari tour to make sure we had everything we needed, so thoughtful. It's a few km from the center BUT they have a restaurant at the hotel, good price and really tasty food. We didnt feel the need to go downtown since they had everything we needed. So I would say it's a perfect place to relax + safari, away from the noise of center of the city. We loved it. Thank you so much to the staff!!

You get what you pay for.

The rooms were big. The food was acceptable. The staff were attentive.

The water stopped working in the middle of the night. We all had cold showers. The card machine was broken when we went to pay so had to pay in cash.
