Everything from the staff, to the rooms and the ammenities is made to enjoy a peaceful holiday!

Everything about the hotel, the staff and my time there was amazing. Their breakfast, lunch and dinners are very good and the room/poolside service is also very nice Perfect for a calm holiday, away from any noise or confusion.

Despite it being very good, dinner is only served a few days a week, with the only dinner options being c.15min away by car.

Nice Country House

This hotel is in quiet location surrounded by olive groves. A great hide away. The decor and ambience of the building is superb. The staff were brilliant and attentive as were the two dogs who went walking with us in the morning

The only disappointing thing was the hotel did not have a restaurant so we had an hour commute round trip for an evening meal

The perfect place to switch off

Everything! The space, the pool, the peacefulness, the staff and owners, the breakfast and lunch. Brite and her son Pedro were very welcoming and helpful. We loved the attention to detail everywhere in the decor. And Pedro has a great sustainable philosopy on farming he is putting into practice. Everything is done with love. We look forward to returning...perhaps try winter some time too.

Not really a 'didn't like'. And really the only improvement that could be made! The availability of more regular evening meals / broader options. However, there are a few snack options up until 7pm and a 4 course meal once a week.

The location, the family, the ambiance, the facilities, the food. It was excellent!. If you want to relax and need romance and comfort, please book Monte da Estrela. You won’t regret it! Thanks dear family, especially the attention for our wedding anniversary. Harm & Nicole

A great place, but not for everyone.

The staff was exceedingly lovely and couldn't have been nicer. I also enjoyed the massage that I received. The area for breakfast was really lovely and the food was delicious. Every day they had a different cake that you could have a piece of. The hammocks were the best part, just lying there reading my books was bliss. The pool (is not heated) but I really enjoyed it and they give you a chair that you keep for the duration of your stay so you never have to worry about not getting a chair. It is very remote, so if you want a secluded and quiet holiday you will really enjoy it.

There is nothing wrong with this property, it just wasn't for me. The breakfast was delicious, but it was far too much food for me and the same every day. Dinners are a set price of 30€, not including wine or coffee and again it was far too much food. A starter, soup, entre and dessert. If I could have just had the entre for a reduced price I would have gladly done that. I went to a grocery store 30 minutes away to pick up some cold meats and cheeses. I loved the dogs, but unfortunately if I attempted to eat outside they were immediately there. I also didn't remember to put bug spray on and I was eaten alive and so I left a little early as I was just not comfortable. I also had an exfoliating scrub and massage, and while I enjoyed it, the masseuse sat down while she was giving me a massage so it wasn't as effective as it could have been.

Exceptional

Everything! The staff was incredibly nice and helpful, they really put their heart in this project. All the food and drinks we had at the property were amazing, the place was so peaceful and the night sky was the clearest I have ever seen. We also loved to see the animals of the farm, and the very sweet dog and cats. It was the perfect vacation week.

Good

I was expected to enjoy SPA , but there are only available spring pool , that was pity . I liked chika (dog) and liked good service ,nice environment. But the distance is too far And the roadway to getting your hotel was so bad

Perfect getaway

The accommodation is perfect. Good escape from busy cities. Great location to relax and walk. The staff and owner are very friendly and the food is amazing! Local specialties and so delicious! Don't hesitate to book!

Exceptional

The country house is lovely, well decorated, with a swimming pool for the summer and jacuzzi for the winter, a wonderful restaurant and the nicest staff. It's also quite close to the beautiful town of Monsaraz. It was perfect :)

Everything. People were great. Great food from Alentejo, traditional and delicious dishes. In Covid-19 times, the attention to it and changes done were exceptional

Staff really was keen to please. The way breakfast, dinner and lunch were served impeccable.

The silence. The staff. The food. Alqueva nearby to go hydro foiling. The dog called Chica. 🙂

The staff were welcoming and attentive. Very recommendable indeed.
