Very well located in the centre, easy walk from the cable station and some sights. Staff is nice and helpful, they also have a tour agency if needed. Very good and hot showers. Easy to meet other travellers: they have a game room, movie room and a common room. Adequate breakfast included in the price. Situated in a historic building. Beer and water sold with an honesty jar, so they actually show they trust the guests.
Dorm is next to a big street, so bring ear plugs.

The Hostel is exceptionally clean and interiors are very colourful. The common facilities are great and location very central.
In the morning the doorbell didn't function and I couldn't find the WhatsApp number to contact. Even though it was not the check-in time, during the feria time would have been good to let the luggage there. During the Feria time, the noise from the street is occasionally high, so maybe the hostel could provide earplugs for those who are staying in the dorms with the windows facing to the street. Also arepas could be served those who cannot eat bread.

Friendly staff. Owner Fernando went out of his way to ensure a pleasant visit.
Located at the bottom of a hill. Be prepared to get your exercise. Breakfast was fine but it would have been nice to see fruits and juices on the menu

A beautiful hostel with everything you could need. The staff are very helpful, and the free breakfast is delicious!

I had an amazing stay at the Golden Frog. The hostel is bright, colorful and pottlessly clean. There are so many spaces for chilling and relaxing. A huge "living room, with comfortable sofas and a big dinning table. There is a hime cinema room (I watched 4 movies in three days), a video game and a billard space. The kitchen is incredible. The staff is absolutely lovely and makes you feel right at home. If you are missing the comfort of your home after traveling (for very long) this is the place to be and relax. Manizales itself is a lovely city as well.
Dorms are huge, beds are a bit hard but I found them comfortable. Big lockers for everyone. The only thing I would advise is to bring earplugs, but really, who travels without them? The dorms face the street and it can be a little loud at night.

The hostel common rooms were spacious, comfortable and had many different areas to chill and be entertained - we used the TV room with a protector with chrome cast. Kitchen was excellent and free breakfast was delicious. Would highly recommend Origin Coffee Tour (leaflet on the table) it was an amazing wholesome family owned coffee tour.
The beds in the 4 bed dorm were rock hard, however they were wide. The ladder was not secure. Also, the bathrooms were quite far from the dorm we stayed in. There was one worker that was a loud talker and pushy about doing a tour in the mountains.

Everything about this hostel was perfect! I ended up extending my stay past what was intended.
No complaints!

To start, it is difficult to rate an empty hostel , at the time of this post the hostel had virtually no guests.
The location is good and central
The rooms are large and spacious
Breakfast is nice
Staff friendly
We were offered a choice of room as the hostel was virtually empty
Good value for money
We only went to this hostel as they were offering tours to the national park. They had sent me confirmation of available tours though booking. Com stating tours were available. Only on arrival did we discovered the park has been closed since March due to volcano activity...
Hence why the hostel was empty.
We did organised a tour with them to an eco park and thermal spa which wasn't that necessary as both could easily be reached by taxi and neither needed a tour guide.

The place is huge, lots of space, big rooms, big beds, dedicated work space, huge lobby, games room, TV room, nice balcony.
Super friendly staff, Alvaro, the owner, is great for organising trips, he's very informative and knowledgeable. Close proximity to the cathedral.
Nothing to report.

Really nice hostel with attentive staff and perfectly located in the city. There are a lot of nicely maintained common areas including a TV room and a play station area. Everything is clean and in good state. The kitchen is big and well equipped.
The staff is also ready to help with booking tours or any other questions around travelling or activities in Manizales.
Clear recommendation!

It's a great hostel, our favourite so far in Colombia. It is airy, spacious and colourful. There are plenty of things to do. The common areas are great for meeting other people. It's really well run.
Unfortunately we had noisy people in the room next to ours and because the walls don't reach the ceiling in the bathroom you can hear everything.

My parents loved it. They were friendly and helpful. At the front desk helped them take small city tours. It was a welcoming environment for them. I cannot be more grateful.

This is a good option for coworking in Manizales. Wifi is working good in common areas and there are tables to put your laptop on. I stayed longer than originally planned. All the members of the staff were friendly and helpful. Public spaces were clean and comfortable. I liked the complimentary breakfasts and all day coffee as well. I will definitely return if I happen to be in Manizales.
WiFi didn't work in my room (weak signal), so even though I booked a private room and not the dorm bed I had to stay in the public areas most of the day.
The property also runs the same group tour few times a week, so it doesn't provide you with information on what other tours you can get from other agencies, I had to search for the tours I needed myself.

Perfect stay for me: great location & facilities, very nice staff and a deli breakfast (and tasty coffee all day) included! 😃

The whole staff was ever so nice and Carlos and Jenny really were thinking along to give the best advice and experience. It's a social place and I enjoyed their roof terrace. Would stay there again.
The hostel is hard to locate. Look for the pink house with the Bata shoeshop, then look for the entrance with another shoe seller inside and you'll find the name of the hostel on the left side. Then climb the 56 steps of the stairway, it's really worth wile.

Very clean, well organised, good location, good breakfast, friendly staff.
The beds and door (of the dorm) are very noisy... For a light sleeper like me this meant that I did not sleep well for the two night I was there :(

One of the best hostels I've stayed so far in Colombia!
Very well-equipped kitchen, nice bathrooms.
Dorms are huge, enough space for backpacks etc and they do have lockers.
Laundry is way too expensive, one load with drying 40.000 cop
