The owners of this apartment were spectacular from the moment we neared the location and called them for help with parking. They met us out in the street, assisted in securing our parking space and helped us with our luggage to the apartment. Once inside, they offered us refreshments, explained the nuances about the apartment, gave us some of the history of the location and recommended a restaurant for dinner. The kitchen was fully stocked with snacks, desserts, coffee and beverages. There was nothing we could have wanted that they didn't already provide.
The next morning, the owner was in the kitchen cooking us a fresh, amazing breakfast. Before we checked out, the owners spent time with us talking about our experience. From the moment we arrived to the moment we reluctantly left, they made us feel like family. We highly recommend this apartment.
This experience was amazing. Nothing to complain about. No need to improve on perfection.

very clean, updated facilities. Very private and mostly very quiet. it was very cosy and comfortable. Great windows for fresh air! The hosts were very welcoming and accommodating. They were amazing. It was a good work out as well with all the stairs. The breakfasts were excellent with local traditional and continental style options. They picked us up from the train and showed us the Moro Memorial Cemetery, the Moro River Battle Museum and the Canadian memorial as those were the important things were came to see.
The stairs were a challenge but we were in the heart of Ortona where all buildings are tall and have stairs so it was expected. The locks could be a bit challenging.

Lovely homely hotel, very clean, comfortable, quiet, homely atmosphere. Great varied breakfast, the best cappuccino, delicious homemade pies, and much more. Thanks a lot!
A little about our trip and Ortona :) We spent here less than 24 hours, no transport, only walking, slept only one night, but it was a very interesting trip.
Ortona has two different good beaches: the pebble beach "Spiaggia della Ritorna" to the north of the port with azure water (if the sea is calm enough). 500 meters north of it in the morning we even saw a flock of dolphins. And the sandy beach of Spiaggia Lido south of the port. The walking and cycling path stretches along the city to the south for more than 20 kilometers along the picturesque coast. In the evening we only managed to walk along it about 7 kilometers from Spiaggia Lido to San Vito Lanciano and from there we returned to Ortona by train in 5 minutes.

The hosts (husband and wife) were very kind and helpful! They called me a few hours before check-in and they offered to pick me up from the train station in their car. The hosts answered all my questions and they offered great suggestions for renting a bike, trabocci restaurants, local restaurants in the neighborhood, etc.
The house was very colorful, clean, and accessible to the city center. I had a private bathroom only for me. Breakfast was delicious with many options. My room was very comfortable and clean, with plenty of space and storage. I would love to stay here again!
Nothing. Everything was great!
