Jo met us on arrival and was friendly and helpful giving us a rundown of everything we might need to know during our stay. The cottage was impeccably clean, beautifully furnished and thoughtfully equipped. It is in a peaceful rural setting, surrounded by designated quiet lanes and with a lovely woodland walk to Fressingfield village. A perfect place from which to explore the best of inland and coastal Suffolk.

Appletree Cottage is the perfect holiday venue if you want a rural, peaceful location. The cottage is very clean and beautifully furnished. The residents of Fressi field are the most friendly people I have ever met. The Walks around in the countryside are beautiful. The village has a shop which carries everything. (The only shop). Harleston is close enough if you feel like shopping. There are 3 beautiful churches in Fressingfield. I loved my stay there. ♥️

Very well equipped cottage with high quality kitchen equipment.

The cottage was beautifully clean and beautifully decorated. There was everything you would ever need to self cater. The location was a little isolated but there was a village in walking distance across fields and woodland with shop, restaurant and a pub. We had our dog and there were ideal places for an early morning walk.
The only thing we found to be slightly 'awkward' was the walk-in shower. A screen would have been a good addition as the water from the shower sprayed all over the floor around and on the toilet seat making it a task to mop and dry the area before being able to use the bathroom again without footwear.

Lovely converted barn cottage with beautiful grounds. Perfect for our needs, tucked away in very quiet and peaceful area.
The interior of the cottage was spacious and well-decorated and has a very nice big bathroom with walk-in shower. We loved being able to sit on the outside chairs until late enjoying the silence of the surroundings. Great restaurant (Fox & Goose Inn) about 25 mins walk away across fields and through the woods - a nice walk for lunch but best driving there at night. We absolutely loved our weekend at this cottage and would definitely return.
Nothing. Dog owners need to be aware that the cottage has no enclosed garden and there are a few sheep and horses around in the paddocks on site. Not a problem for us though.

Perfect location, lovely accommodation. Would definitely stay again.

All the facilities are tiptop condition including comfortable under floor heating. Very quiet location on a farm. We saw a brilliant sunset, heard owl calls. We have not seen so many stars for a long time.
Driving on country lanes can be a bit hairy at times.

Breakfast - not applicable. Location - it was in the country but about 30 to 40 minutes from Southwold and Aldeburgh.

Spotlessly clean, great facilities, comfortable and peaceful. A lovely home from home - great for self catering and easy access to the heritage coastline. We’ll definitely be back - thank you for a very enjoyable break.

The fantastic kitchen layout
Slope on wetroom towards outlet could have been steeper (but it did not spoil our enjoyment
