Very close to the centre and nice apartment
Cobwebs all over ..dirty skirting boards ..mould on windows ..sofa needs replacing as very sunken in places ..carpet turned up in lounge so dangerous ..broken mirror in bedroom

Location and size of rooms were great. Had a fab time
The lounge had a smell of cigarette smoke from previous guests and as a non smoker not so enjoyable. I’m sure it’s been aired out since and other than that it was fantastic and perfect for what we needed

Brilliant location, very short walk to centre. House was clean and inviting on arrival. Beds super comfy with nice pillows and bedding. Huge TV was a bonus.
Owners kept in contact
Downstairs kitchen. But we did know beforehand and didn't hinder as much as expected

The location was great. It was a quick walk into Chester and just over the bridge to the Roman walls. A Co-op supermarket is one minute away. Parking in the pub car park worked well.
Whist the property was well appointed in terms of bedrooms and kitchen etc and is clean on the surface, I agree with some of the other previous comments - there was something all over the radiator in the kitchen, the electrical cord in the bathroom was filthy and the skirting boards need a though clean. Overall it needs a proper proper clean over and above what the cleaner would do after each stay.
in addition. small things like not writing the internet access name and password in the info booklet (you have to search for it and need a magnifying glass), 2 rolls of toilet paper for 4 people for 4 nights and a proper sized saucepan for cooking pasta all add up. Also the mattresses are uncomfortable- it reminded me of my backpacking days sleeping on cheap bedding with the springs creating a lumpy uncomfortable sleep.
If a few extra hours were spent giving this place a deep clean and some general maintenance, it would go a long way.

The location of the property was amazing just a short walk into Chester town centre and you can go along the river, which is beautiful.
The road we were staying on because of its central location you could hear passers by at night - not lots of them but some, but the property only has single glazed windows. Would not stop us from saying again though.

great location
check out time 10am bit early for a Sunday

Location was perfect; especially with parking space.
Property was clean and cozy.
The only thing that could be improved is the living room seating arrangements; property has 3 double bedroom, so can accommodate 6 people, but the living room can only comfortably accommodate 4. Maybe worth considering swapping one sofa for a corner suite or add some adult beanbags.

The house was lovely - spacious and welcoming. Really well furnished and lots of handy extras such as hairdryer, ironing board, prosecco glasses.
10 minute walk straight up into town and back.
Car parking near and easy to access with the pass. Even the short 30 min parking outside the house is handy for loading/unloading.
Nice cosy fire (although very hard to light due to missing ignitor knob).
Great shower - hot and powerful.
Blinds as well as curtains to block the daylight in the morning.
There isn't much at all but attention could be paid to very small things in terms of cleanliness. Overall great and bed linen/towels were brilliant. Other than the tiny bits below, it was spot on.
The bathroom light pull chord was in need of changing, due to the location of the plastic pull being literally on top of the hot radiator, we had to use the chord to use.
The radiators (especially the kitchen one) needed a wipe down. Splashes, dust build up.
The wooden front bed window is really dilapidated due to condensation and there is a crack in the pane where it opens so we didn't like to open it to help the situation with condensation.

close to town

Communication throughout was fab. Location unbeatable. The fact you could park your car near by for free- brilliant.
Property was clean and had everything you needed. Tea and coffee items were even supplied, brilliant.
Nothing.

The locastion was very good for walking to the middle of town. Some noise at night but not much and only one room affected. Ideal for 4 people, 3 double rooms cater potentially for 6 people but would be cramped. Kitchen facilities good and comfortable lounge. We liked being able to come and go and relax at the house.
Sitting in kitchen was cramped but we managed. Windows difficult to open, probably need attention.
We needed a street plan of Chester, a plan and some brochures would have been good. Please could folder about the house be left on the table rather than in a drawer. We didn't find the Wifi code until halfway through stay!
4.2
good sized bedrooms and location
single glazed windows at the front of property meant it was very noisy of a night especially with the pedestrian crossing right outside the window. mattress wasn’t great however this is all a matter of opinion, could be the most comfortable for someone else.
we was informed before hand that there had been a leak in the kitchen that morning and unable to decorate until it had dried out, however upon arrival it appears this leak had happened sometime ago and ceiling was bone dry with flaking ceiling paint, but like the rest of the property it could do with a freshen up and kick of paint. however would not stop me from staying here again. have posted up photographs.

close to town and zoo for our visit
traffic lights crossing but it was ok it was fine once went to bed

Excellent location. Incredibly attentive and helpful hosts. Clean, spacious apartment with all the amenities you need - there was even a highchair for our toddler!
Nothing - was all great but bring a teatowel if you're staying as none provided.

It was close to a shop and parking was arranged with a pub nearby.
It was not the easiest to locate the property. The property was not clean, there were hairs that didn’t belong to us in the beds, on the floor, everywhere. The wooden floors in the hall and kitchen were sticky and unclean. No tissue paper or kitchen roll was provided, the only toilet was not flushed properly, stuffed with tissue paper and the toilet flushing mechanism didn’t work. We had to resort to using the mop bucket to flush the toilet for the first night which was difficult for a party of 6, 3 of which were young children.
The owners came to see if they can resolve it and show us how to pull the lever in the tank but it broke again at the next flush. They said they couldn’t do much because it was a weekend but I know there are emergency plumbers that they could have gotten to repair it. Plumber came the next morning, went to but the parts to have it fixed but when we returned, the problem was still there. So for our two nights stay, the toilet was flushed with a mop bucket.
They could have done more to help us or even given us a discount for the inconvenience but we didn’t even get as much as compassion, we were just told there was nothing they could do.

Location couldn't be faulted, 5 minutes from Chester centre, lovely house with gorgeous historic details and beautifully decorated and furnished, very comfortable, good wifi. Well equipped kitchen. Free parking a big plus although we did have some issues with this (see below). Good communication from hosts.
Our only issue was parking in the pub car park. There is a permit for this and fantastic to have free parking so central in Chester. But we did have problems getting the chain off as the car park entrance is chained up from 11.00pm to 3.00pm, there is a key box for the key to the padlock. The padlock was rusty and it took us many attempts, making us 15 minutes late for our planned activity that day so that was stressful and I thought we were going to have to get a taxi, and I was worried about getting in and out of the car park after that, but we continued to park there because of the savings and convenience.
Also, with 3 double rooms the house would benefit from having an extra toilet or bathroom. 4 ladies sharing one and trying to get ready was a bit tricky! This is the only reason I wouldn't book again and the only reason I rating of 9/10 instead of 10/10.

Location main benefit. Limited utensils etc but very comfortable. Bedding good.
Not easy parking more than one car. Living room upstairs not handy for the less mobile.

Fantastic location for Chester.
Great communication
4.2
Location was good
and free parking was a bonus
Cleanliness was very poor
property needed alot of maintenance painting and some of the kitchen appliances need to be upgraded
4.2
The location was excellent for walking into Chester which is a beautiful place . The kitchen was sufficiently equipped ( maybe a pair of scissors) . Our bed was very comfortable.
The bathroom was basic and probably not sufficient if 6 adult guests staying there

The accommodation was very clean, tidy with a modern finish. Handbridge itself is lovely and just a short scenic walk into Chester. Communication with the owners was excellent.

Location is perfect.

The property was clean, nicely presented and in an excellent location. The guest book was a nice touch in the living room with helpful suggestions, such as places to eat. I also appreciated the parking permit provided.
4.2
The house was very comfortable and the location was excellent, I stopped with my Family, the boys loved the house and we had a great time in Chester
The house could have been cleaner and the cooker and fire were a little dated, hard to use
4.2
The house was in a brilliant location. Accessible to town over a bridge but in its own quaint little street with small local shops & nice, family pubs/eateries on your doorstep.
The communication with the owners was brilliant from day 1, especially since we had to put the trip back twice due to Covid restrictions. They were so amenable to our changes. They also communicated really well about how to enter the property, where to park the car etc. and they provided a great booklet in the house about restaurants, places to visit, things to do etc. Whilst there, they also checked in with us via email to make sure our trip was going well. They were easily contactable & very kind & generous.
The house itself was on 2 floors with the kitchen downstairs, 3 really good double bedrooms, the living room & bathroom on the next floor up. Everything we needed for our stay was provided - the kitchen was well stocked with cutlery, dishware, pots & pans & even had a handy washing machine. Small things that you have to often provide for yourself like washing up liquid, tin foil, hand-wash etc. were nice extras.
The house was extremely clean, there were more than enough towels provided & the beds were very comfortable.
We will definitely be going again & will be recommending to family and friends.
I could say the weather because we were there during Storm Franklin but actually it wasn't too bad in Chester & never stopped us getting out and about. And, when inside the house, it was lovely & warm and cosy!
4.2
The location is excellent!
The noise from outside’s passing traffic and people walking by at the front (due to the lack of double glazed windows) was an issue.
4.2
excellent location
everything was great
