Quiet and tranquil location. Easy to get to. Cottage clean and comfortable 👌. If is a quiet chill out accommodation you are looking for, this little cottage is a must.
Exceptional place to stay. There is a mirror in the downstairs bathroom but could do with a little one in the lounge area for drying hair.

Very comfortable with great facilities. Also very quiet - only cows for neighbours!
The ladder up to the bedroom was very secure and did not wobble but would be tricky for anyone with bad knees or balance issues.

Great stay nice and quiet also quite close to most things you need! Felt comfortable, cozy and had everything i needed, definitely recommend!!

Location for the event we attended was perfect. Quiet and comfortable
Fear of sleep walking lol
5.0
The privacy, quiet area in nature and the facilities.
The stairs are mentioned in great detail, they are very steep and did find it hard taking my tea to bed etc.

Private location, well appointed kitchen, warm in winter, bath
In winter it would have been nice to have curtains on the kitchen window for warmth.

Breakfast was excellent. Location is lovely, and ideal for us - minutes to Papakura, but in the country. Very cute, tidy, nicely decorated. We didn't have a chance to use the outside fire this trip, but it looks like an awesome outdoor area.
In the winter, it could do with a small fire inside to increase the cozy atmosphere, especially as our NZ winters have been so wet. However electric heaters were supplied, so it was warm enough.

Awesome to have breakfast provided! Especially the eggs!

cottage was very clean, shower and bathroom nice
internet didn’t work even after following host’s directions for re booting., not easy to find, no micro wave oven or French press to make coffee. They had some type of expresso maker but couldn’t figure out how to use

This property was amazing, it was quiet and secluded yet still a close drive to Auckland cities. We loved the fire pit and would recommend this property to anyone.

Kakariki cottage is so beautifully styled and comfortable that it is difficult to leave. Surrounding trees provide privacy from other properties in the area. Cottage is well stocked with everything you need.

Wow. If you're arriving at Auckland airport and planning to head south, skip the city and stay here.

warm and cosy and personal touches. very peaceful location
it was pouring with rain when we arrived and could not park next to the cottage but parked outside the gate

lovely cottage, generous amenities.
difficult to find at night, communication between us and hosts was delayed.

This cottage exceeded my expectations! There was so much attention to detail such as kitchen condiments, fresh milk, butter & eggs, homemade brownies, fire and local restaurant recommendations. The bed was also very comfortable and it felt like a home.
The shower pressure was OK but it didn't bother me that much.

everything was so nicely done up for us upon arrival and was exactly we needed

The setting is amazing, very private, and very relaxing, quiet, and peaceful. The country touches inside the cottage were so cute, and was such a nice place to stay.

Quite peace full warm for winter time breakfast was excellent brownies yummy Netflix an tv sound was excellent
Only thing I didn't enjoy was the 🪜 stairs up to the bedroom we're a bit steep

Spacious dwelling with good furnishing's TV etc. Bed was comfortable and the owners kindly left bread, eggs and cereal with milk butter. Even had 4 twirl chocolates in a bowl.
Stairway to the mezzanine bedroom area was basically a ladder with hand rails. Most unsuitable for older people like us. The water pressure in the shower over bath was also very poor considering it is fed by a pump.
3.0
Plenty of room, breakfast supplies very good
The shower over the bath, the stairs to the loft a bit steep for older folk.

Isolated but felt safe? Quite a substantial Breakfast to eat.
-The stairwell was quite steep to negotiate up and down and the table chairs would've been better with cushions put on them-which I did.
I always strip bed and leave downstairs with towels I've used.

Absolutely everything was amazing, instructions clear of how to get there. Which was great as we got there when was dark. Beautiful cottage, very clean, breakfast awesome , we really enjoyed our stay. Great scenery.

So peaceful, private and charming, clean with all needs catered to.
So much thought went into the fine touches.
hosts easy to deal with and considerate.
The stairs to the second level were very narrow. Fine for us but worth mentioning for some visitors to be conscious of. Otherwise that’s the only thing
