Great staff but the room needs renovation.

Staff are very friendly and accommodating. Breakfast is served on time and the breakfast is good. Wifi has good connection. It's also accessible to SM City Daet. Water supply is great anytime of the day. You can request blower and towel immediately.

Facility - did not meet our expectations. The wallpapers are peeling off from the wall and were quite dirty. The blinds looked old and dirty as well and needs to be replaced. Lights are also very dim and are all warm lights and has no option for brighter lighting. Cleanliness - The closet smelled awful as if it wasn't cleaned. It smelled as if somebody hung a sweaty jacket and left it there for a week. The airconditioning unit also produces an unpleasant smell. CR's grout are already dirty. Posted pictures on the website are outdated. No bidet or something that can be used in the toilet. You can only use tissue.

unfortunate business trip

The hotel's location is superb since it's close to SM Daet. That means you can access almost everything, shops, restaurants, services, cinema, etc. The hotel's staff is friendly, and the complimentary breakfast is good too. I like that the room and bed are bigger than usual.

Since I stayed there for work stuff, I need WiFi. Unfortunately, internet access was wonky during my stay, and it kinda forced me to stay at SM most of the time because I couldn't work at the hotel. Also, the bathroom in my room doesn't have a bidet, so that's also a bit disappointing. During check-in, other customers got free room upgrades, but it wasn't offered to me even though I stayed for multiple days. In addition, you only get complimentary water once your whole stay instead of daily.

Staffs are polite and friendly, hot shower, breakfast is ok, wifi is good and the location is exceptional.

They will provide you with only ONE pillow, no bidet or at least a bucket/pail, weak network coverage inside the room, early check-in now allowed.

The only hotel worth considering in Daet

I was quite impressed with the level of cleanliness and friendliness of the staff. From the moment I walked into the lobby, I was greeted with a warm smile and made to feel welcome. The hotel room was spotlessly clean, with fresh linens and towels. It had a beautiful interior. It felt like the room was newly renovated because of how well-maintained it was. The bathroom was also very clean, with plenty of amenities provided. The staff went out of their way to ensure that my needs were met and that I was comfortable during my stay. It was my first time in Daet and they keep answering my questions and gave me proper directions! From the front desk staff to the housekeeping, everyone was genuinely kind and courteous. Plus, the hotel is very near SM Daet which is a huge win! Overall, I highly recommend Hotel Formosa for anyone looking for a clean and friendly place to stay. The level of cleanliness and friendliness of the staff exceeded my expectations and I would definitely stay here again in the future.

It is difficult for me to say anything bad really. For the price, you’ll get your money’s worth!

HORRIBLE HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE! WE WILL NEVER BOOK THIS PLACE AGAIN! NOT RECOMMENDED!

We booked the place one week in advance and paid in full to make sure our accommodation is confirmed as we are coming from a different city with the whole fsmily and when we arrived we couldn’t believe what awaited us! The staff told us that they did not receive confirmation from booking.com even after showing them our reservation and confirmation details! Then told us they don’t have available rooms anymore!!!!!! Imagine being exhausted and all after a long travel with the whole family with kids and senior member…then the staff later on told us that they’ll just try to find a way to accommodate us, with their other rooms with limited to no options. Room was dirty with cocroaches!!!!! Staff is too incompetent to handle situations like this and totally ignorant about the accommodation process, specially with booking apps. We asked for the manager but the staff was too hesitant, the company needs help from professional accommodation consultants, seriously. WE WILL NEVER BOOK THIS PLACE AGAIN! ABSOLUTELY NOT RECOMMENDED!!! THINK TWICE BEFORE BOOKING THIS PLACE!!!

Breakfast was fine. A man murdered the hell out of a Nespresso.

There were lights in the ceiling that didn’t fully turn off so the room wasn’t dark enough. There was a machine adjacent to the room that made a regular noise. These are not good for sleeping.

Cleanliness

24hour room service was on booking. None. Food was from 7am-9am. No choice for breakfast. Had to contest for 4 breakfasts only 3 “supplied” with room. 4 guests booked. Cleaning with scrubber started at 1030 pm. Room was adjacent to reception. Unwanted early wake up due to phone in reception ringing and people talking.

Comfortable hotel stay near the centre of Daet

Very friendly staff who did their best to make us feel comfortable. Room was cleaned and towels, etc, replaced every day, at a time when we requested it. Great location on a main road near major supermarkets and shops.

Plumbing issues with the toilet meant that we needed to place used tissues in a separate bin. Some unpleasant sewage odours in the bathroom and on entering the cafe area from ground level.

Friendly and helpful staff. Close to city centre. Good protection measures against Coronavirus, e.g. forehead thermal scanning on arrival.

No fridge in the room. Has electric kettle for boiling water but no coffee, tea or sugar. Included breakfast choices are very limited.

Highly recommended! Best hotel in Daet!

I was in town to visit my friend and she suggested that I stay in Hotel Formosa because according to her, it’s the best hotel to stay at in Daet. I booked it last minute as I was still deciding, and based on the reviews and photos of the rooms I went with Hotel Formosa, and I’m so happy I made this decision! Even though it was a last minute booking, I was welcomed warmly by the staff and shown to my room immediately. Check-in was a breeze and I really had a wonderful sleep. Beds and pillows were soft, and sheets and towels were white and clean, just how I like it. Honestly, I was not expecting this quality since I’m in the province but I’m so glad I discovered this hotel. Breakfast was also good in their cozy breakfast nook and it was nice to gaze at the greenery outside as I ate my breakfast. They also offer Nespresso coffee which is a nice touch as I am a coffee lover myself. Wifi is excellent too, I was able to do my usual browsing without any interruptions. Location is superb as it is within the city center and is next to the hospital, pharmacy, and the local shopping mall and supermarket. Plenty of dining options nearby. Tricycles are also very accessible as the hotel is along the road, so it’s easy to get anywhere. Staff were very courteous, polite, and always smiled and greeted me whenever I passed by. Overall, I had a terrific stay and I really got my money’s worth! Thank you Hotel Formosa! Now I know where to stay whenever I visit Daet!
