About this house rental

A wonderful 2-story retreat on a cove of Lake Travis with beautiful hill country views. Two large balconies overlooking the cove, and limestone steps going down to the lake bed. The cove is currently dry, but the water level can rise depending on rainfall. Three bedrooms - master includes a Jacuzzi and beautiful shower, and a private top-floor balcony overlooking the hill country. The open-plan kitchen/dining/living space walks out to the lower balcony with plenty of seating and a large grill.

Head on down the beautiful limestone steps to a hiking area that leads to secret swimming holes and a waterfall when Lime Creek is flowing. There is seating on multiple levels to relax, enjoy the nature around, and entertain family and friends. Enjoy a fire or a picnic on the patio just down from the house. There is also a trail that goes through the trees to a point with consistent lake views and kayaks available on request.
Then head back up to the balconies to watch the beautiful Texas sky. Enjoy the large record collection or watch your favorite movies on the 46" TV while cooking in the well-equipped and comfortable kitchen. The large, fenced-in front yard gives a nice contrast to the back area.
Here, you get all the pleasures and relaxation of hill country living, but you're just a short drive from thriving Austin with its vibrant music scene and endless opportunities.

Cute house, had everything we needed for a quick getaway for the eclipse. Lake bed is dry, which was unexpected given we’ve had so much rain this spring. Curious if it was drained for something. Enjoyed our stay!

House was awesome. We had a family of 4 with plenty of room. House was clean with everything you needed. The stairs down to the lake was great exercise for the family. The lake was dried up to our advantage as the dogs had a blast and we also hiked the trails off the lake. Owners were very easy to contact and were very helpful to what ever we needed. Thanks George and Sam. We will definitely stay again when in town.

We knew from the beginning that there would be no water for canoeing but we enjoyed the beautiful decks and views of the gorgeous sunrise every morning. As promised the kitchen was well outfitted and clean except for the oven. We also found baking sheets and bowls that needed rewashing, but no problem for us. The hosts left plenty of paper towels, kitchen towels, condiments and spices, and even a nice bottle of wine-all appreciated greatly. In the master bath, I would suggest placing an extra trash can in the toilet closet to make it easier for people to remember not to put anything in the toilet other than toilet paper. The master bed/bath is lovely and very large with lots of storage space and nice, new fluffy towels. The other bedrooms were fine as well, except the sleeping surface in the first bedroom was very, very hard. Thank you to our hosts for the extra mattress in the office space. We found our hosts to be very helpful and responsive to us. The home is perfect for a large family such as ours and we would definitely stay in this wonderful home again.

we decided to take the family on a mini vacation something different then the routine Destin trip. The property was very nice and quite. It was good taking time off to get away for a bit.The host was very helpful. the balcony was awesome plus outdoor grill. Regretfully the heat has dry out the cove but we were told in advance. Could not work the remote in the living room, internet would have been nice for the kids, other than that the house was well furnished . in all it was a nice stayed

We’ve stayed here multiple times while visiting family in Leander. We’ve never seen the lake view from the house but the beautiful hill country sunrises more than make up for it. The house is clean, spacious, convenient and check in/check-out is easy and contactless.

We originally booked it to have a house on the lake, the pictures showed water right up to the edge of the house. after booking the owner reached out to let us know the water has been resessed and not at the house, we still had an amazing time and it is still a beautiful property! They just need to update pictures, all in all a great 4/5 stars ⭐ and a great place

I have rented this house for the weekend to celebrate my daughter graduation from Southwestern University. The house perfectly fit my family and it is pet friendly with amazing front yard with fence. The house has everything what you need. Great location, close to shopping plazas, house has two patios and grill. The dining area has amazing views. The house is beautifully decorated, spacious enough for 6 people, very comfortable and cozy. Allmy family enjoyed the stay and my daughter felt very special on her graduation day. I highly recommend using this house for get away and enjoy Hill Contry!

This was a wonderful long weekend getaway for our family. Plenty of room for everyone to spread out. The house had absolutely EVERYTHING we needed. The front porch and fenced in yard were the perfect spot to relax or play yard games. The house was beautiful and very clean. And it was so peaceful. It was exactly what we needed.

My husband, kids, spouses and grand puppies stayed for Mother's day weekend. To sum it up in three words...it was perfect. The house is so warm and welcoming, bedrooms and bathrooms were charming, sitting areas outside were comfy and cozy, and the kitchen and eating area made us feel right at home. The house was beautiful, very clean, with lots of room to spread out. The contact free check in and out was safe and easy. The location was just a few miles from restaurants, shopping, wineries. It is located on Lake Travis, but the lake was pretty low. However, it was just a short walk to a deeper spot for kayaking.

We had 10 girls stay this weekend and the house comfortably fit us all. The views were wonderful and just wish the water would’ve been higher so we could access the lake more easily! It could’ve been a little bit cleaner. Overall it was great though and would stay here again.

This house was not oversold - it turned out to be everything I was hoping for, and more! The bedrooms are comfortable and easy to be comfortable in, especially the Master Bedroom. We found the closet in the Master to be large enough and comfortable for wheeling the one year old's pack-n-play into for sleeping! Perfect!!! The living area and kitchen are so well designed that it was a pleasure and the laundry room and pantry are ideal and spacious. We found ourselves on the front porch often, drawing and playing at the table out there and watching thunderstorms roll in too! We used only the canoe and it was awesome! The view out the back is amazing and the stone steps are so rustic and beautiful - a pleasure to walk and to sit on at times. George and Sam are terrific guys and so accommodating and helpful. They were quick to help with anything, though all was so comfortable and easy we didn't need to bug them too much. This is a great house for adults and especially for children over 6. We grilled out on the fantastic grill a number of times and very much enjoyed their extensive album collection. It was a perfect and perfectly wonderful respite from LA! Thank you!!!

George and Sam provided so many little details to make this quiet, luxurious place the best VRBO we’ve ever stayed in. Fully stocked Kitchen with everything from cookware and spices to the stuff for S’mores to use at the fire pit and a bottle of wine to welcome us. The canoe and kayaks were perfect for outdoor activities. The beds are all comfortable with first-rate pillows and linens. They even have options for natural laundry and dish soaps along with the standard stuff. We stayed a month and felt right at home. George made sure we always had what we needed. And bonus: The fenced front yard was the perfect place for our lab/golden retriever mix dog to run.
