I was the very only guest at this hostel on my first night. One could say it was my good luck to get a whole room for the price of only one bunk! I have nothing against this argument, but only want to add that if you stay at hostels to meet people, you may reconsider your plan to visit Nong Khai altogether. This is because Nong Khai is not a Thai hotspot for tourists.
Let's get back to Silsopa Hoatel itself. Was it comfortable? Yes. Did everything work well? Yes. The AC and the hot water, for example, never stopped doing their jobs. Was the location good? It couldn't be any better. Was the hostel clean? Not perfectly clean, but beyond my personal standards for hygiene. Were the staff helpful? There weren't any duing my two-night stay. Would I recommend the place? Of course.

I've stayed here before, and again I was delighted by the charming ambiance of this hostel. Love all the paintings, and the vibe is so comfortable. It's chic without being pretentious.
There was no one at reception in the morning, I didn't see anyone any of the 3 or 4 times I came through the lobby. I had a question about bikes, but I couldn't find anyone to talk to.

Art filled hotel/hostel. Very homey. And cute. Probably the very best place to stay in Nong Khai. With airco and free coffee. Everything just lovely. Unique and excellent esthetics.

I loved everything about this place particularly it was spacious and quiet, large gallery outside of the bedroom which was also a good space for stretching, there is nice artwork and decoration all around, very good well decorated living space next to the lobby with place to sit and work. Finally a very nice cafe attached to the hostel that has not only the full selection of teas and coffees but also good food for reasonable price, under 70 baht
I forgot to mention there is also a very friendly orange cat who you would probably find napping on a patio chair when you first arrived

Although it was a dorm room, the bed was super spacious and comfortable. I was the only person in the dorm, so that was cool privacy-wise. The whole property was tidy and it had great wifi. 7-11 was a 3 to 4 minute walk away, which is always handy.
Nothing to say here.

Great place - really cool, decorated so nice. The coffee shop next door was great too.
We asked the staff to book us a tuk tuk to the train station but it never turned up and there were no staff around to help us, so we just started walking and got one off the street. Wasn’t very helpful in the end.

Icy A/C, Art and decoration around common areas, free bikes available. Bread and coffee available.
Persistent presence of mosquitoes in the room. Constant music from in-house coffee business. Other guests having conversation outside our room till late at night.
Everytime we went in/out of the room, more mosquitoes came in. No mosquito net provided/available. Therefore, you will spend half an hour trying to kill as many mozzies as you can everything you open/close the door.
Room had one window that opened into a wall. Wall of room connected to a loud space from the in-property Cafe.
The lack of windows the pain of opening the door due to mosquitoes, made this room feel like an underground bunker. There was a window on the toilet.
Noise: a Cafe functions in the same premises and you will hear their music ALL DAY. Didn't matter they supposedly closed at 9:00pm, music continued till 10:00pm and later. On the first night we had to go out of the room at 9:30pm (mosquitoes getting in, remember?) and ask them to reduce the music level. They lowered it, but still played music until 10:00pm
Also, there's a food truck that does business in front of the property. They have their own sound system going on until the last customer leaves.
Finally on noise, in front of our room there's a communal table that people use for making video calls. On our first night a woman stayed on a call until 10:30pm.
We came to this hotel to have two good nights of sleep, and to relax during the hot hours of the day. Unfortunately, we couldn't achieve this.
No amount of artwork, paintings and decoration can make up for this fact.
I don't recommend this place if you want to sleep at night.
We mentioned noise levels to front desk, not much of a difference the next night.

My stay at Silsopa Hostel was superb. Excellent location in terms of accessing many important locations of NongKhai. Great and comfortable stay and absolutely value for money. Very friendly staff and aesthetically the Silsopa is one of the place I will reccommend everytime.

A very respectable family home, I stayed here for only one night, because I was going to Laos, the room was clean and smells beautiful and refreshing , the bed is comfortable and fast Wi-Fi, and the place in general is very clean, and it is located in a quiet street, relatively far from the main city center, but its no problem is in the presence of modern means of transportation, you can use the grab program .. there is a supermarket, on foot, they have a restaurant that also offers Coffee, they have milk, they also have free service bikes, you can take one of them for free, yes it is a clean house that deserves price and the family in general deserves to be commended.

so cute and picturesque! right by the food market as well so we were able to get amazing food and eat it in their outside dining area. It is also an Art Gallery, so has beautiful pieces all over the hostel helping it achieve that really refined and chic ambiance.
beds were a little hard but not too bad

Such a beautiful well designed hostel. We loved our room, the little extras like water and mosquito lotion and the nice garden space. It was very clean and the staff was helpful.

Everything about this place is excellent especially the location; easy to find, close to the museum, within walking distance to Mekong riverside (if you like a morning run, this is perfect!), 7-11 nearby.
A bit noisy for the room on the ground floor. But this is not a big problem though given all the great things about the place. If you are not a morning person, I recommend that you request for a room upstairs in the rear part of the hostel. It's very quiet up there away from the noise from the road. It's also away from the noise of the hotel staff start working very early in the morning. Plus, it's closer to the bathroom, more convenient.
