Isolé, charmant , mais bruyant pendant la nuit

Chambre relativement grande Une magnifique baignoire dans la chambre Accueil agréable personnel très sympathique Le cadre agréable

L'hôtel est loin de tout , même le taxi a eu beaucoup de peine à trouver Très bruyant pendant la nuit, la musique très forte m'a réveillé vers 5h30 du matin

Okay für eine Nacht

Die Zimmer sind sauber und sind durch das Container-Design interessant. Im Zimmer ist viel Holz verarbeitet. Der Pool war ein nettes Plus.

Das Personal konnte kaum englisch und wirkte nicht motiviert. Tagsüber war nur eine Person in der Nähe der Rezeption zu sehen. Der Begriff Flussblick ist leider eine Lüge: das Rinnsal hinter dem Hotel ist ein Abwasserkanal, was man auch riecht. Das Frühstück ist sehr bescheiden: Toast, Marmelade, Spiegeleier, warm gemachte Würstchen, Wassermelone. Für die Kinder gab es nur Wasser.

El hotel está muy bien, las habitaciones sin tipo contenedor, la cama es miy cómoda.

En el servicio de recepción pocas veces encuentras a alguien y hablan poco inglés.

Modern container concept hotel

Lovely container hotel very modern and clean, especially loved the bath in the room. The whole place was spotlessly clean and looked brand new. The pool was a good size with a couple of sun beds available and outside toilets. Close to the main street in VV - about 10 minute walk but also had a few restaurants nearby too without crossing the river. Breakfast was a choice of eggs (ordered fresh) and toast and jam and fruit to help yourself to along with coffee.

Very quite on an evening so couldn't hang out there for drinks / food.

Was good until Checkout

Everything was great until checkout

I booked through booking and at checkout, was told i owed 90,000 more for booking type A instead of B despite the fact booking had the prices confirmed and permanent. The staff was confusing on purpose and deceiving. I was also charged 198,000 for my railway ticket, which was 100,000 more than the online price or ticket office.

Really Really Good

Definitely top-notch hotel. It’s quiet and rooms have two showers: one outside and one inside. You have your own private space outside and it’s just magical. Room is comfortable with great a/c and bed. Highly recommend

great container concept hotel. very clean and comfortable and I think great value. basic breakfast but sufficient for me. on the opposite side of the river to all the hustle and bustle, but I liked that.

The hotel is well designed but the operation team is very poor

modern and stylish design with container look A little beautiful garden comes with the room You also get a second shower in the garden with open sky and that's pretty cool the bed is quite comfy with new good bedding there are quite enough sockets in the room and that's pretty important to me

It is made from container, that means the room is not insulated, during daytime it is supa hot! It is not sound insulated either, there is often trucks pass by and it is crazy loud. The staff is friendly but not proactive in service and only one lady at the front desk can communicate with basic english. I need to show her photos of items to make her understand what I need. Plus she is rarely at the frond desk. the rest of the staff speak zero EN. the location is quite awkward too. It is near the town but on the other side of the river, so tuktuk between the train station and the hotel is extra expensive... oh and there is not hairdryer

Money lost

The place is located outside of the city centre so we found it very calm. The room had a small green area with a terrace. While the room's shape was long and narrow, we did not find it too small.

There was an unannounced room service while we were gone rock climbing. I had left my wallet on the table and after returning I found that some money was missing. I had booked 2 nights, but obviously in this situation I did not want to stay there the second night and requested the second night to be cancelled. The manager did not agree to cancel and said that in these kind of situations police has to be involved which I was ok with. When it was clear that he is calling his friends instead and not an actual police (I had a person with me that understands Laotian), I found Laos police number, but was not able to reach them. I ended up paying for both nights and now I have contacted Booking.com Customer Service to resolve this issue.

Very good

It was very relaxed and the pool is great. The rooms actually looked better than they do in the photos with both an inside as an outside shower. I also really liked the location on the 'quiet' side of the river with nice cafe's such as the Kiwi Cafe and Pizza Luka at your doorstep.

Not all the staff at the front desk spoke English well enough to help us with our questions. During our stay (3 nights) the room was not cleaned and therefor we emptied the trash bins ourselves.

Exceptional

We loved our stay at Kong. The hotel is built from old shipping containers and it's designed beautifully. The beds are super comfy. The best hotel we stayed in Laos.

For some people it might be a tiny bit far away from the center. But that is not a real problem for us.

Good but room for improvement!

Location is near the main attractions and nice cafes/restaurants can be found close by! Concept is unique. Pool liked clean although we did not use. Bed was comfortable and on site scooter rental was appreciated.

Be careful with the exchange rate for hot air balloons. We ended up paying 20$ extra. Not sure who pocketed this money. Breakfast included and a water refill station would have been nice. While staff were friendly, they did not go out off their way to provide outstanding service. The property was not busy while we were there so perhaps this meant less staff working there than at peak times. No kettle, tea or coffee in the rooms. No hand towels or foot towel. No hair dryer. Not much information given regarding the property on arrival. Some staff spoke very little English and were on phones and away from front desk.

good hotel and great location. some improvements needed

the hotel is very cool and the room is very comfortable with everything you might need the location is really nice and our room looked out onto the river it’s an easy walk to the center of town but far enough to feel like your in the countryside. the staff were nice, helping us change moneys and do laundry.

the room lock is very trick and 3 times we either couldn’t get in or couldn’t get out the room. there are lots and lots of mosquitoes. even with lots of repellent on we were bitten like crazy. the pool is really nice but it’s difficult to enjoy it as there are only 3 plastics sunbeds all of which are broken. there is also no shade whatsoever. we had to ask for an umbrella and prop it up against the side of the pool and just sit still in the waters to keep cool. not the most relaxing

loved it!

Unique property based on tiny house theme. All the cabins are made out of industrial containers so are small but so cleverly designed and very clean and comfortable. Our cabins looked out onto a small running stream and lots of green trees. The gardens and grounds are beautifully maintained. Incredibly well priced and great value for money. Exceptionally clean - they gave us fresh towels every day. Excellent staff - very helpful and warm and welcoming.

They are not serving breakfast or any food at the moment due to no tourist numbers because of Covid but we would go back because it was great value just for the comfortable clean cabins.

Best place to stay in Vang Viang

Impeccably clean, comfortable beds, shower is top notch and just a short walk over the free walking bridge. On the other side of the nam song river where it’s peaceful and quiet. Awesome pool.

Breakfast needs to be changed.
