Land Acknowledgment
I am a guest on this ‘āina visiting for the purpose of relaxation and enjoyment.
I would like to begin by acknowledging that the ‘āina on which we gather, the ahupua`a of Hanalei, part of the moku of Halele‘a, is part of the larger territory recognized by Indigenous Hawaiians as their ancestral grandmother, Papahānaumoku.
I recognize that her majesty Queen Lili‘uokalani yielded the Hawaiian Kingdom and these territories under duress and protest to the United States to avoid the bloodshed of her people. I further recognize that Hawai‘i remains an illegally occupied state of America.
I recognize that each moment I am in Hawai‘i she nourishes and gifts me with the opportunity to breathe her air, eat from her soils, drink from her waters, bathe in her sun, swim in her oceans, be kissed by her rains, and be embraced by her winds. I further recognize that generations of Indigenous Hawaiians and their knowledge systems shaped Hawai‘i in sustainable ways that allow me to enjoy these gifts today. For this I am grateful and as a guest, I seek to support the varied strategies that the Indigenous peoples of Hawai‘i are using to protect their land and their communities, and I commit to dedicating time and resources to working in solidarity. Mahalo.

We had a great time. The house was beautiful and had everything that we needed.

The house was great, peaceful, spacious and well stocked with cooking utensil's, beach gear etc. It was even better than the photos showed. We did feel with the early check out of 10 am, the check out instructions asked that we wash and dry all the towels, that felt a bit tight time wise. Stripping the beds and taking trash out and starting the dishwasher were not a problem. all together a wonderful stay!

Great property.

Our stay at the Yoga house was pure bliss! The house itself was absolutely beautiful, very spacious, perfect for group to spread out and relax. The best part, though, was definitely the peace and quiet, and the lush greenery all around.
Of course, the views were incredible. We spent countless hours just gazing out at the stunning scenery. But the absolute highlight for all of us was the outdoor shower, great to clean off after a day at the beach before you get into the house!
The hosts were fantastic, incredibly responsive and helpful, making sure we had everything we needed for a perfect stay. We can't wait to come back again someday!

The Yoga House, a House of Unity, was just that for our family. It was the perfect place to enjoy 5 relaxing and active weeks in Kauai. Various family members, aged 6 to 78, came and went and enjoyed. It came to feel like home.
The house is so well stocked and comfortable. The outdoor shower, with hot water, was well used after many days at the beaches and ocean.
Laurie was great with communication. It is obvious that she takes great pride in her Kauai home and that she wants each guest to be comfortable and have a great time. There is a library of books, many about Kauai and Hawaiian history.
Princeville offers beautiful scenery and fun activities and beaches. Hanalei is a short drive and we visited there often.
I highly recommend The Yoga House. I hope to return.

Our extended family had such a special time staying at Yoga House for ten days in January 2023. We found the house to be as described - clean, peaceful and in such a great location on the north shore of Kauai. We had read the reviews about the neighbors who like their quiet in the evenings, so we were mindful of that and had no issues at all. There is a new house being built right next door, and construction started bright and early at 7am Mon-Fri. This didn't bother us since we were up before sunrise, but it would be nice to know for those who will be staying in the house over the next few months. The house was well-stocked with kitchen supplies, towels, boogie boards, chairs, coolers and everything we could possibly need for our stay. Parking was ample for three vehicles. Close proximity to stores and beaches. Would absolutely stay again - thank you, Laurie!

A beautiful home in princeville very close to the cute town of Hanalei Bay. My husband and I were thrilled to show our kids and my parents the beautiful island we discovered in 2016. This more than exceeded our expectations.

We had a fantastic two week vacation at beautiful spacious yoga house. Great deal and super location for a large quiet group and the house was very well equipped. Easy check-in and very helpful host… our large nutty yoga family loved their stay!

This is our families 3rd stay at the yoga house. That kind of sums it up, if you are willing to return a third time it's got to be something special! It's a great house for a family or just a couple. The owner is great to deal with and goes out of her way to help make your visit a good one. Can't recommend this rental enough!
Thanks

Such a beautiful house to stay in. So clean, tidy, had everything we needed and more. Would highly recommend.

We originally were booked at another home, but it experienced water damage a week before our trip. By some miracle, the Yoga House was able to accommodate us! The house was clean, the beds were comfortable, the sleeping arrangements fit our needs perfectly, the lanai was wonderful (we had no issues with the neighbors, though we weren't out there very late, and we are a quiet group anyway), and the owners were very responsive. We LOVED that there was snorkel gear. There were what appeared to be some SUPs and I am wishing we had thought to take advantage of those. The kitchen had everything we needed. We had a wonderful trip! We did learn that this time of year (late October), a lot of the beaches on the north side aren't very accessible, except for Anini Beach, a wonderful beach for relaxing, swimming, and snorkeling.

We loved our stay and would definitely return! The house is spacious and comfortable. It was also set up for kids - lots of kids books, games, sand toys and beach supplies. Close to Princeville shopping center and the Queens bath - all in walking distance if you don’t mind a good walk. We loved our stay… our only complaint is that the neighbor is a little uptight but nice. We had the light on outside on the lanai at 7:45pm and she walked over to complain. It was no problem for our group since we have small kids and go to bed early. But if you have a lively group, it could be an issue. But we loved everything about the house, our host and our stay! Recommend it for sure!

We spent ten glorious nights at the yoga house. It was perfect for our family of five including our three adult sized children. The home is as advertised..unfussy and simple, a serene oasis in a magnificent setting. The views from the lanai are just beautiful. We enjoyed walks in the neighborhood after dinner and mornings at the Makai grill (golf course) for coffee. Like others have said, if this home is available do not hesitate...BOOK! Thank you to the Moorhead Ohana. We will be back!

Property was perfect for our family. My adult son is in a full time power wheelchair and this house accommodated him (with a few creative options but that happens with most places we go) the location was great we love Hanalei Bay a very short drive. My son actually proposed at Waimea Canyon and she said yes! So fun to celebrate here. Would definitely rent again. Love Kauai! Owners very easy to communicate with. Aloha

Great hikes. Great beaches. Great place to cook and relax with family and friends.

The house was really great! It was roomy and easily fit our multigenerational family. There were 7 of us in total and I felt like we had plenty of space. The lanai is beautiful. There was some decent snorkeling gear available and the kitchen was well stocked. Beds were comfortable, too. This is really a beautiful and well maintained property.

We love this beautiful house! Thank you so much for sharing your amazing home with us. Everything was as described and we love the location and neighborhood. The house has plenty of room for all of us, which is a must with two teens. We look forward to returning on our next visit to Kauai.

We had a short but awesome stay at the Yoga house in Princeville. I would like to stay longer next time. Kauai is beautiful. The house had everything we needed and was very spacious. It is right around the corner from the market, which is so convenient. There is also a Lappert’s and Shave Ice place in the shopping center. Thank you for letting my family stay at your VRBO.

Beautiful comfortable place to enjoy the amazing north shore beaches. Nice quiet neighborhood right off the golf course.

Our stay at the Yoga House was as advertised. The home is well kept and kitchen fully stocked. Never had any issues with the grumpy neighbor, but then again we respected the quiet hours and there were no issues. We would definitely stay here again with its quiet neighborhood, plentiful activities nearby and the north shore of Kauai, it truly is a special place. Mahalo!

This was our (party of 7 adults) first visit to Kauai. This property was a home away from home and exceeded our expectations. The check in process was straightforward & Laurie(owner of property) responded quickly to any questions we had.
The neighborhood was quiet & peaceful with amazing surroundings. The sounds are amplified at the back of the house.
We were treated to both sunny & wet weather and were able to participate in some of the activities & sites Kauai has to offer.

The Yoga House is a great place all around. Really nice home, comfortable, well-equipped with everything you need including extras like beach towels and chairs, boogie boards, and snorkel gear. Drinking coffee every morning on the Lanai and watching the birds was a great way to start the day. Great location, only minutes away from Princeville Center for shopping and dining and Hanalei Bay is a short drive away.
Laurel was great and always responsive. You can tell she takes great pride in her home.
My family stayed there 11 years ago and loved it, stayed again in December and loved it, and hope to return again in the next couple of years. Highly recommend!

This house was the perfect place for our family of 7. You can tell that the owners actually live here sometimes, and it feels like a real home on the island with almost everything you'll need. We enjoyed relaxing out on the lanai, grilling for dinner and watching birds in the green space. The outdoor shower was great after a long day at the beach, and we loved how close we were to Anini. Raymond the II (this is what we named the gecko who lives behind the painting of the gecko) kept the bugs away and we did not have any problems with mosquitos. Beds were comfortable and even though it was hot during the day, the house cooled off quickly at night with the windows open and all the fans provided. The neighborhood is great, lots of walking trails and beautiful trees and flowers to see. The only thing I would caution is that the sleeping loft does stay rather hot at night, so I would not plan to have anyone sleeping up there during the warmer months. My 3 year old cried when we left and is still asking to "go back to Hawai'i house". If this house is available, don't hesitate, just book it and you'll be happy you did!

We had a lovely stay and enjoyed the amazing ceilings, breezes, relative privacy, and artwork.

Our family stayed here for 4 nights while visiting the north shore. First, the property was perfectly described in its listing. The 5 of us loved our time there. The hosts were super responsive, and even responded quickly to allow us an early check-in. The large neighborhood was surprisingly very quiet. Minutes from a grocery store and a very short drive to Hanalei (great shopping and food) and dozens of awesome beaches within a short drive. I wouldn't hesitate for a second to stay here again. Thanks to Laurel for making our trip to Kauai perfect, your home was awesome.

Wonderful place to relax and enjoy the scenery. Great location of the island. Many outdoor items to assist with your beach adventures. A few dirty plates and towels but overall great place for family.
4.9
Love the Lanai, front porch and outdoor shower. The great room is also wonderful!
4.9
The property was great!!! It was comfortable and clean. The listing is spot on. There is a 9:00 pm quiet time that is no joke the neighbor across from the house that will call your party in for being load. We put a consensus effort in to be quiet after the sun went down but still received a message fro the owners. All in all this was a great stay!!!
4.9
Very comfortable.

The Yoga house would be a good choice for a large family. It's a nice safe neighborhood and shopping was convenient. The outdoor shower was useful. Our stay would have been improved with a newer bed, towels and bedding. We found it necessary to close the windows when we watched TV because of a very particular neighbor.
