Angenehmer Aufenthalt in Kilkenny

Sehr zentrale Lage mit kostenloser Parkmöglichkeit. Direkt hinter dem Hotel befindet sich der große Parkplatz. Wir hatten eine Gartensuite. Sehr ruhig und geräumig. Modern eingerichtet und sehr sauber. Das Frühstück war sehr gut. Abends konnte man im Restaurant ebenso sehr gut essen und anschließend in der Bar mit Livemusik den Abend ausklingen lassen. Das Personal war sehr liebenswürdig und hilfsbereit.

Die Dusche hatte sehr wenig Wasserdruck. Die Möglichkeit sich die Haare zu föhnen oder einen Rasierer zu nutzen ist nur im Zimmer direkt an der Kaffeestation möglich. Nur dort ist im Schrank ein Spiegel. Sehr unhygienisch. Zumal das Zimmer genügend Platz bietet. Check in 16 Uhr ist sehr spät.

If I had a choice I wouldn't stay again

The TV was old and only partially worked the internet kept breaking down and only worked in some locations.and some staff were very nice but some not so obliging.

Beautiful hotel

The decor was INSANE!!! So beautiful. I've never seen a hotel like it. The whole bar, restaurant, reception, toilets. Everything was just gorgeous. Really rich painted walls, a chandelier made of antlers. The bathroom was really quirkily laid out.

I found the staff at reception a bit dry. They were acceptable but didn't tell me much about amenities, breakfast times, check out. Nothing. It was a minimal encounter. The lack of plug sockets in the room near any mirror was a pain. The hairdryer was a nightmare as the cord is too tight to reach so you blow dry your hair, go check it in the mirror then come back to the hairdryer. It's not convenient. No conditioner in the bathroom for hair.

The nicest hotel in southern Ireland, every area is unique, stunning.

Breakfast was exceptional, had the avocado on sourdough with added smoked salmon, was perfect. Was our anniversary and they kindly left some little cakes in the room, really lovely touch. This hotel really is stunning.

Not langtons fault but drunk people very noisy outside until 4am, wish they were soundproof windows!!

The property was so much bigger than it seemed from the street. Each area was so unique. Would be a gorgeous venue for a wedding

The only thing that seemed a little off for me was the colour of the water coming from the bathroom sink, seemed a little tainted but that could be from a pipe repair recently

Great place to stay for location especially if your young and going out for the night.

Location is excellent. Breakfast was satisfactory. Free hotel car park at the hotel which was very handy.

We stayed in a suite at the front of the hotel which was a bit noisy with passing traffic and people. So if you were looking for a quite night I wouldn't recommend it. We found it very difficult to close the old sash windows at the back of the suite which overlooked what we assumed was the outside area of the nightclub but we eventually got them closed. Thankfully there wasn't any nightclub on the night we stayed. I don't think we would have slept at all if the nightclub was open. Decor and room looked fine on first impression but then you realise it's all dated and would do with an update. It's an old hotel so I appreciate how hard it must be to keep standards up. There wasn't any vents in the bathroom so it gets steamed up and foggy easily. The light in the bathroom wasn't great for women applying makeup. I found a large moth on the window drape after opening up the drapes in the morning!! Proof of old decor!

Fantastic stay a must if visiting Kilkenny

Very comfortable room, fantastic bed and bathroom! Lovely evening meal however could do with more extensive vegetarian options. Excellent breakfast! Fantastic decoration throughout the hotel, I will definitely return! Great location for town

Just great, we would stay again!

Great hotel with great bar, great rooms and great breakfast. The jacuzzi bathtub was a welcome bonus. We would stay again. The hotel premises are just gorgeous including the outside terrace.

None really but if I were to be picky I would say one of the suites we had didn't have aircon and we were there on a particularly hot day. There was a ventilator in the room though.

We started in the Garden area, which was difficult because of all the doorways and stairs we had to navigate with the wheelchair. Once we were moved to the hotel building, it was much easier. The staff was very understanding and accommodating, even moving the trundle bed for us. The breakfast was the best one on offer during the 3 weeks we visited Ireland. Your location was great - close to the train/bus station, and all the attractions were within an easy walk.

The Garden beds were incredibly hard. Even the young folks in our group slept poorly. However, the staff were happy to move us to the hotel part, and we all slept much better after that. I appreciate that they listened and found an agreeable solution for us.

I'm glad I only booked one night stay at the hotel .what I like the most was checkout 😄

Car park so far away from reception & had to ask a member of staff to help with suitcase at reception & up the room as well but receptionist was not happy ☹️ & said we not usually provide this service as they don't have enough staff due the wedding on ..They don't care about others Guests but they want my hard earned money .Rooms decor very dark old fashioned needs upgrading. Curtains shabby & dirty .took lots of pictures.Bathrooom needs upgrading a complete makeover . Receptionist rude .not friendly no smile or customer care .I won't be back .Room 8 all the staff can see you as they walk along a steel platform & also stand smoking every few minutes.I would see all the staff .,& could see me too .I wave at the chef when he look across at me .The view was stunning lots of cables dirty windows etc. No lift No offer of help with suitcases please don't ask reception because they to busy with wedding guest .if you're lone traveler couple's.or small group of people this is not the hotel for you

Very loud noises. I slipped in the corridor and almost fell on a wet floor that had no wet floor sign located anywhere, an absolute hazard for any elderly. The front door of the hotel was locked and we couldn’t exit in the evening time if we wanted too, and there was no one available on the front desk for support. Some staff, especially bar staff were rude. The hotel is dated. There is very little parking onsite, so be prepared to have to pay for parking elsewhere and carry all your belongings through Kilkenny City in order to get to the hotel. We had to park somewhere else that cost us 25 euro. There is no after hours menu or food available for in house guests so make sure you bring some food with you should you be a night time eater. It’s clear that the hotel aspect of Langton gets neglected and is only a bolt on service to it’s bar and restaurant. Do not let the positive reviews of the restaurant determine your choice or decision for this place as a place to stay. Do your research before hand.

So decieveing from the outside , we couldn't believe it inside , every turn was something else!! Beautiful rooms , was here for a wedding and the staff could have not been more helpful .

Very disappointing, the worst accommodation on our tour of Ireland

very little other than the location.

The room number 10 was bare, decor terrible, very noisy. we were subjected to a constant buzzing throughout the night making sleep very difficult. the smoke alarm triggered for the second time at midnight, There are 44 steps to the room making it awkward with luggage.

OK but not super in terms of value for money

Excellent location. Staff professional and friendly. I was given the Penthouse as a room when I arrived - but I wouldn't recommend this room for one person - ridiculously big and really not beautiful. I asked for another room and the receptionist worked hard to find me another room and my second room was OK

A bit old fashioned in terms of decor. Could do with a revamp.

Friendly, full of character and great location.

Plenty of plug sockets for my stupid amount of chargers. Plenty of facilities on the face of it. Bed was comfortable, room was a nice temperature and although it was a very short stay, it was grand for what I needed. Great location! The fire alarm went off during the night, which annoying as it may seem, you definitely feel more secure about how safe you are.

I was disappointed that the iron leaked water, it came of the sides and where the power cord is to the iron attached, dangerous! After the fire alarm, perhaps I’m wrong but I would’ve liked a checkup. I know I would’ve appreciated it, I stayed up for 30-40 minutes just in case. I could’ve just went down to reception myself so I’m not in the right either.

Love this place

I loved my stay there's always such a great atmosphere here. Even when I've come to kilkenny and not booked a room here. It's still the only bar I'll go to. Rooms were big and loved the decor.

The only thing was there was no parking available, but we got some nearby. So it wasn't a problem at all.
