Good location outside main area of Fira, only 10 min walk. Rooms lovely and like the fact lots of pools and different areas
Restaurant staff were friendly and helpful and Maria on concierge desk was very helpful too

Great hotel in a great location, walking distance to Fira, several pools, gym was very nice. Staff were very helpful.
The main issue I found was a significant shortage of sunbeds with shade in the morning. Also, the sofa bed in our room was only suitable for kids up to 10 years old, despite having booked for 3 adults, so 19 y/o daughter had to sleep in a tiny sofa bed. Drinking water seems to be rationed at the hotel, not even in the lobby or in the gym, so everybody has to go to the nearby supermarket to stock up on reasonably priced drinking water.

I liked the breakfast but the white bread was stale
If this hotel offered shuttle buses to and from Fira then it would have met all my expectations

I loved the veiw from my balcony and the fact you have a choice of so many different pools.

Staff were exceptionally polite and friendly. Accommodation was spotlessly clean and well looked after.

They provided us a free upgrade to a junior suite (I’m assuming because the room would have been empty anyways).
Regardless, it was very thoughtful and we could not thank the concierge staff enough.
The handwritten map of where to walk for downtown Fira was very useful, as well.
The room was very spacious and we had an incredible view of the sunrise at 6:15am the next morning. It was gorgeous.
All the staff were very friendly and the breakfast buffet was great for a complimentary meal.
We only stayed 1 night here as we had made reservations for another resort in Oia - BUT if we come back in the future I would definitely consider spending 2-3 nights at El Greco since it is a great location in the middle of the island where you can hike North or South for whatever kinds of activities you want in a day.
The beds were a pretty hard but that’s definitely not a deal-breaker. We are not very picky but that was the only noticeable “issue”.
Great place!

Food was a great standard,
Staff were friendly and so helpful, Maria in reception, the male spa therapist, wait staff etc.
resort layout & aesthetic fantastic and rooms good. Close walking distance to the beautiful centre of Fira great facilities.
All 5 pools were cold and not heated. I know it was early in the season but if one pool was heated it would have improved our stay.
The TV in our room didn’t have great channel choices but somehow another one of our family’s rooms had Netflix???? I not wanted to watch while in bed at night so not a big issue.

good location, close to the main hub and stores etc. beautiful spacious comfortable rooms .
the bathroom had a strange smell like the pipes were rusting or just not cleaned in a while . also water was taking very long to drain in the shower area.

We really enjoyed our week at El Greco Hotel. We booked a suite which was spacious and comfy. The grey and white interior decoration was very tasteful and the view from window or terrace both to the east and west coast was terrific. The staff was so welcoming and helpful.
The whole hotel complex is very well maintained and clean.
Breakfast was more than ok with a huge choice of food and drinks. But it was every day almost exactly the same. A little change would be appropriate, such as different cheeses, fresh fruit, maybe some smoked salmon.
One thing we didn't love on the wonderful island of Santorini is not the hotel's fault but we would like to remark it here. Leaving the hotel you were immediately surrounded by lots of litter. Parts of the island are a huge dump and with the wind- everything is flying around.
The gym could be improved!

We traveled for the first time with a baby, were a little worried, but everything turned out just super. The stuff of the hotel was amazing, manager Teo helped with a comfort room, receptionists Maria and Anna were sweethearts, Soni was very helpful and professional massage therapists Kristosh and Anna from the Spa physically restored my wife's body after labor. Not to mention such a lovely waitresses Katerina and Angeliki. Definitely will recommend for friends and for whoever is reading this review 😉 Go for it!

First room felt a bit small for the 3 of us so I upgraded to a junior suite which made the difference as it also came with a good sized terrace & faced the sunset (albeit the main road too). There were several pools but if you didn't get your towel out by 7am you'd miss out on getting a sunbed for the day. Some people would put towels out & not use the beds for hours - the hotel should really get stricter on this! The breakfast buffet had quite a wide selection however, the warm food (eg scrambled eggs, bacon, etc) was of average quality. The yoghurt & fruit made up for it though! Same can be said for the evening buffet which we only had once as also just average. Staff were all super friendly but their pool service could be a little more pro-active (if not least to make more money for the resort!) by going round & checking if anyone wanted anything.
There was no particular dislike, just a few things that could do with improving, like the reserving and not using sunbeds, the buffets and the pool service (as mentioned above). I could also have done with a little more "offered" or "put on" by the hotel, like for example a BBQ night or cocktail evening or even the occasional water aerobics since there were so many pools. The few evenings spent in the resort felt a little "meh" and just consisted of dinner & bed.

Several pools, lovely staff, beautiful resort all in all. Outside of the bustle of the tourist zone, but still within walking distance.
Waiting staff seemed to be overworked but were still lovely.
