The Hotel and Rooms, were new so therefor, everything was fine. Breakfast was available, but i didn't try it. Pool was also available, but for my taste, bit to much of Chlor, the smell was breathtaking. Staff was friendly and helpful.
The location is a bit outside from the Downtown areas, and if your coming from the freeway north, you cant turn on the street, to the street to the hotel, you have to make a uturn at the next light. Also the Entry is dark, i missed twice the Entry street. Actually no Problem, you can take the next street, and also drive up to the Hotel. The Area around the Hotel seems a hudge Development Area, you see, a lot of plans around. Actually there is an Appartementcomplex and the Hotel there, nothing else.

The staff and checking out.
There are no kitchens. We only booked so we could cook as a family. One of the rooms had roaches. This was the most disgusting experience. The staff was the only thing nice about this property.

The pool. The breakfast
Our room smelled like urine and the air conditioner had to have been malfunctioning throughout the hotel aside from our room. Elevator was broken and kids got stuck in it. Though they were supposed to be shut down, they continued operating it.

The hotel did not disclose that we had to pay an additional price for Wi-Fi and we also saw a few critters at night. Luckily we were able to get a refund for the night we didn’t stay.

Beautiful, spacious room. Nicely appointed grill/party area, very helpful staff, great location for going between Summerville, Charleston, Ashley, etc.

My room was very nice!
The hot breakfast setup could have been much better. Very disappointed in it.

The firepit area beside pool area
Everything personally was not at all what I expected...especially the bed...pillows to small and soft and the mattress was lumpy and old and we will not be staying again! The wallpaper was peeling off the walls and looked like mold behind it!

cleanliness, room size, couch, room divider, rolling table
loud people above our room having a party from 1 am to 5 am, pillows were too thin, beds were a little soft for our taste, dishwasher was loud

The breakfast was good. Nice variety, fresh, and tasty. The lobby/dining area was always very clean. The outside patio was always nice and welcoming. It was a very cold weekend and they always had the fire going. The heat/ac worked VERY well in the room. When we arrived it was slightly more warm outside and within a few minutes our room was bitter cold.
Perhaps have two people on staff to help keep breakfast stocked to meet demand. The staff was mediocre. There was only ONE girl there that seemed to care (Sunday morning staff) and she was very kind. Monday when we were checking out, the front desk clerk spent no less than 30 minutes outside on the phone. When she finally came back in-she acted like it was an inconvenience to help me. Their incidental fee was $50 (which is fine) but it didn't reflect on my receipt that they took it. When I asked about it-the girl told me it was only $25 and that it wasn't even charged (it was) and I explained that I understood that I would get it back, I just wanted my receipt to reflect that. Only one elevator worked and there was a major line majority of the time waiting (which is an issue for the elderly and disabled). The elevator that WAS working got stuck a few times and the door wouldn't open-which was terrifying to my 7 year old. The ice machines were broken until our last day of our stay. The room was clean and smelled heavily of bleach (which I love that smell so it didn't bother me but it was VERY STRONG)-the bathroom DID have lots of stray hairs of every type in the shower and floor, and that always makes me feel icky...but it was clean and this was just neglect of the housekeeping staff not going the extra mile.

Someone pulled a fire alarm late at night which caused the hotel to evacuate. No fault of the property but REALLY unfortunate.

Usually I use Home2 Suites when I travel because the layout of the room suits me. This room layout in North Charleston was just like the ones I've used before. Excellent.
Bathroom door broken: used cardboard to keep it shut. The water for the bathroom sink came out in an exaggerated trickle. Gym had water cooler but no water. Staff was lazy, wouldn't replace the water. Staff wanted to charge me for bottled water. Slips, trips and fall hazards in the lobby left untended (Safety concern), staff was lazy, "not my job" attitude when presented with evidence. Location difficult to get to because entrance road connection to HWY 78 had no turn lane. There is nothing close to this location as far as walking distance goes. We moved to a place on King Street in the downtown core: paid less, walked to everything, did not hove to fix things ourselves because nothing was broken.
