I used to write reviews for booking as a frequent traveler. But since I’ve learned that booking does not intervene on behalf of their customer, and only support the merchant, well....
I figure why should I do their work for them if they won’t support me?
So I fully expect them to take this review down.
Still, they have the option of resolving an issue yet they choose to ignore it.
So you’ll simply have to decide by yourself if this hotel suits your needs until booking changes it’s customer support policy.
As you write your reviews ask yourself why you are doing bookings work for them. And then ask why they don’t intervene on a customers behalf when a problem arises. You may come to the same conclusion I have. I refuse to support the entity that does not support me. You’re gonna see this frequently. I travel a lot.

The overall stay at the hotel was good, clean environment and great hospitality from the staff. However the swimming pool was a bit of a disappointment and the water was way too cold.

The quality of the hotels facilities & room were phenomenal, if you planned to stay inside the hotel for a holiday, you'd have no issue enjoying yourself, the view from the room was exquisite, and the cleanliness was top notch. Location is very short distance in a taxi to most tourist attractions, and is located in a local residential area with very minimal tourism/tourists. Can get the real cultural experience of Beijing.
Being a western traveller, upon arrival none of the staff spoke English, which made check in extremely difficult, this trend continued on in most aspects of the hotel, the restaurants had similar issues with only one attendant speaking very broken english, several of the attendants would refuse to serve me until their "broken English counterpart" was around, which not only made the experience uncomfortable, but also lengthy.
Being a sole traveller, whilst inside the room I always kept the "Do Not Disturb" sign up and on the door, this was ignored several times, by both cleaners & hotel attendants, who during all hours of the day & night would ring the doorbell or knock on the door, to then speak Chinese, and when spoken to in English would just apologize and leave. Again making my experience uncomfortable.
The location appears to be a partial residential building for locals, many of which were loud during the day and night, which directly came into the room. This though cant be blamed on the Hotel, but is something to be aware of.

Nice river views from the window. You can also catch the sunset from the window.
It's about 20 mins from all the shops, food and iconic locations like temple of heaven.
Majority of the staff could not speak English. It was a real struggle trying to communicate to them.
