Superb location. Pleasant ambience. Straightforward check-in. Decent price-to-quality ratio.

Lack of cleanliness — A thorough cleaning of the suits would be a game changer. No welcoming water — Empty mini-bar; Cash-only vending machine isn’t of much help for foreigners.

we much enjoyed our stay here. a hotel so nicely situated near the chateau.

we loved the location and we very much liked the staff.

the check inn procedure has a lot to be asked for. t. took some time before we could go inside. thanks to the lady from the coffee shop outside.

Good

Location is quite good - quite place, right near a beautiful castle. The room itself is cozy, more like in a classical "old times" style. The breakfast was also fine. The personnel was quite friendly and helpful. There was no free parking space near the hotel as we arrived, but the lady at the 24h support arrived personally in a couple of minutes after my call and she and her colleague found a solution for us. So the idea is - if the parking space is needed, the best option is to request it explicitly so that the hotel staff knows how many parking slots should be available.

Some of the equipment is quite old, which fits the room "good old times" style, but for me it was a little inconvenient when it comes to the functionality side. Also the soundproofing is really bad and people which are quite susceptible to loud noises should take this into account.

Amazing stay in the lap of mountains

marvellous view with superb amenities. The breakfast was really good and the kitchen was open 24X7 to use. The location was amazing with the castle view and surrounded by mountains. The rooms were also very spacious and well maintained.

Clean,comfortable, good location

The staff were great, beds very comfortable, lift efficient and shower fantastic!!! Good location near the Schloss so a pretty walk down into the old town. Had a kettle and fridge in the room which was great. Our room had a huge balcony with wonderful view of the Schloss. Very quiet in the room.

Nothing really. Decor not to my taste but was tidy and clean. Strong smell of frying from the Imbiss next door but only in hotel corridor not in the room.

Everything was just perfect! From the moment we arrived, we were looked after like family. Breakfast was great and the staff worked so hard to make sure everyone’s needs were met. Thank you!

Acceptable but not welcoming.

Location, comfort and very good breakfast.

The group of men outside the hotel were intimidating when we arrived in the dark. No staff on duty so did not feel safe.

Rarely have been able to find such a lovely hotel and so well managed.

The brakfast was delicious. I was able to taste a wonderful assortment of Swiss cheeses and jams. The staff was wonderful and the tables were unpolluted and the room was welcoming and beautifully decorated.

Nice location and very nice staff.

This hotel overlooks the nearby castle. There’s a slide and swing set nearby and self check in is easy. The staff are really friendly (and the owner/manager) very kindly gave us a lift to the station when our taxi didn’t come. They give a good breakfast and access to the same area throughout the day (with microwave and coffee machine)

The set up of the rooms are a little unusual.

Brig is really nice small town and I recommend this Hotel

Wonderful cosy hotel close to the castle in Brig. Family atmosphere... Self-check in is not so scary (but look out for the national letters machine cannot find the reservation with them - it is better to use simple latin characters or have the number of reservation without dots - Booking.com's print includes some dots). Wonderful views, and almost every room has balcony. Mountains are around so view is always ok. Great Swiss breakfast with cheese... Prices are really good considering Switzerland...

Very worth the price, especially considering the cost of everything in Switzerland.

Small, cozy, close to the station, very good for those arriving late at night - the self check-in service was very easy to use.

The breakfast consisted essentially only of bread products and yoghurt.

You get what you pay for

The bed and the pillow were very good, so the hotel has fulfilled its most important function: I got very good sleep.

1. The check-in machine did not accept the MasterCard from a major U.S. bank that was accepted by booking.com. 2. The sink was clogged pretty badly. 3. The lid of the tea kettle was broken. 4. The shower cabin was so small that I decided to skip it altogether that morning. 5. There was no explanation whatsoever where the restroom is and how to open it, even though this is the most important information for a room with a separate restroom. 6. The breakfast was pretty mediocre, definitely the worst breakfast that I had in five different hotels on this trip. Overall, you get what you pay for. It was cheaper than competition, but there were reasons for that other than "efficiency" claimed by the hotel owners. It was OK for one night, but keep in mind the above.
