need a little bit improvement in the restaurant area to make it more inviting. Coffee shop would be great.

Location of the hotel is absolutely perfect for exploring the town day or night. The facilities in the room and hotel in general were very clean and comfortable. The view over the river was really lovely. The staff were all very friendly and welcoming. The room and bathroom were very clean and well stocked with towels and such.
None of these comments are 'sad face' worthy as they are simply my personal preferences so take them with a pinch of salt :)
A very minor point, is that the hotel itself and the room were all rather too warm. On a colder day the room would have been perfectly heated, but the day was warm and the room got uncomfortably warm in the evening. There was no thermostat that I could find bar on the radiator which already had a low setting, and the essential safety features on the windows meant that fresh air was hard to get. The bathroom had a little water damage which is understandable but was lovely and clean despite this and had all the necessary towels, which I have found is surprisingly rare in hotels, so loved this.

Location of the hotel is lovely, reception and all staff we met lovely & polite.
Cleanliness was horrendous, we had used shower gel & soap on the shower tray. The shower curtain was stained a lot more than usual. The carpet was full of hairs. There were cobwebs in the corner above the bed the whole stay despite me leaving the clean the room sign on the door daily. Bath was dirty with Blue marks like old toothpaste. Cups in the breakfast table were stained with ring marks. Marks & stains in the carpets. Spiders & cobwebs in the sitting rooms area for days. New cleaning staff needed.

Hotel was clean and comfortable, staff were nice.

Great location for a trip to the town. Room was spacious and clean and looked over the main street. Ideal location for a town centre with everything you might need within easy walking distance
The veggie breakfast was not the best, could be better

Convenient location; had stayed many times before.
Getting dated. Few facilities. Food okay-ish.

1. The shower didn’t work
2. The evening meal was deplorable - the starter, two spring rolls cut in half, the main course, burnt meat, inedible!!
3. Breakfast - ‘Traditional’ breakfast, overcooked and tasteless, no cereals included, the ‘Continental breakfast, Porridge and Cereals available, soggy croissant.
We have NEVER had such poor food, or staff who didn’t ask why it wasn’t eaten.

great location . on site parking .
nothing really .

1) Staff were helpful and pleasant throughout.
2) Location is central to Ballina. Parking in the underground parking is very limited. We were fortunate to get a space, so can't speak to the availability of on-street parking.
3) Cooked breakfast was good.
1) The hotel generally feels very dated.
2) Room window backed onto a courtyard smoking area and was overlooked by other rooms.
3) Bathroom was very dated. Shower curtain in particular was heavily stained.
4) Not the hotel's fault at all, but Ballina itself, in our opinion, is not worth visiting. It was a convenient stop on our travels, but I wouldn't make a deliberate point to visit.

Room
Asked for early check in as coming off night shift, they made me sit in the bar, I went back to ask again at 1pm, they forgot about me. Spoke to staff who told me there were plenty rooms avaliable for early check in. This has happened at least 4 times. Miserable staff, especially manager on duty. Other hotels way way nicer. Much better hotels who do theire best for the Customer. Compare this hotel prices to other hotels, definitely not worth the money.

We had no complaints about the room it was a good size with a bright clean bathroom.
Many items were available from reception if you forgot to pack them which was a nice touch.
The location was excellent right in the town.
The staff were very friendly and helpful.
The breakfast left a lot to be desired, while there was a number of main items on the menu there were none of the usual help yourself items available. One glass of juice was given if you wanted a second you had to ask, no cereal was provided, no yoghurts, no brown soda bread, no croissants, no fruit. You basically got your main item with no trimmings. We had the Full Irish on both mornings and on both occasions it was cold, on the second morning we had to send the sausages back as they were under cooked. I would safely say it was the poorest breakfast offering I have ever had at any hotel. We had an evening meal in the hotel on the first night, I had fish and chips but the fish consisted mainly of batter, we ate elsewhere on the second night.

Friendly restaurant and cleaning staff
Rooms were very warm and the bathroom wasn’t very clean. Seven of us had dinner in the restaurant of an evening and every single meal was unpleasant. We didn’t complain as we’d had a long day and we were all starving but I wouldn’t eat there again. Sorry
