the property was clean modern and well laid out with great facilities. all inclusive was ok. food was excellent with a brilliant choice at every meal sitting
The bars are limited with only 2 bars (that are right next to each other offering the all inclusive drinks) the beach bar was a paid bar making it restrictive on why you’d go down there when you’d have to come back up for a drink!
Also the all inclusive finishes at 11pm even though the bars stay open until 1am- seemed very silly concept!

The jetty beach was stunning and the staff were great but that was probably the only thing we liked.
The food and drinks were poor quality, the hotel was outdated and the rooms need a refurb.

The reception, bar and room cleaners were excellent.
However the restaurant staff were average. Tables were only cleared not cleaned between people leaving.
Room view was amazing
The food was average not much choice and low budget
Tinned pineapple and pears!!
Fresh orange juice watered down
You had to pay for bottled water even on all inclusive!!

The staff were phenomenal, the location and view's just indescribable. Fantastic range of facilities, personable hosts, great food and bars to either enjoy the entertainment or tranquile evenings. All staff went out of their way to accommodate and provide an unforgettable, special experience. Couldn't recommend highly enough!

Everything was really great. Amazing view, good food, clean rooms.
The entertainment was a bit weird. They mostly spoke in French which was unexpected since we were in Greece, couldn’t really understand much.

The location was wonderful, great variety of options for swimming, lounging, eating and drinking. Staff were extremely friendly and hard working. The closest village of Agia Palagia was in walking distance with a lovely variety of restaurants and shops.
The air conditioning in the room was temperamental and the balcony seating was limited.

The location of the resort is absolutely stunning, get a room with sea view and you’ll wake up every day with an amazing feeling. The resort is situated on a cliff overlooking the blue sea of Crete, and since it’s a small gulf it is well protected from waves and wind in most directions. It gets windy only when the wind comes from northeast, otherwise the sea is flat like a table.
The room seemed pretty new (in 2023), clean and spacious. Beds very comfortable. Curtains cover pretty well the sun in the morning but depending in how sensitive you are to light you might want to bring some night mask. There’s air conditioning in case it gets hot (and it will).
In our room there was a big wardrobe with plenty of space for our needs.
A water boiler and a fridge were also available.
A safe box was also there to keep our valuables.
The restaurant is very functional and given the big amount of guests it favors quantity over quality. Not that quality is bad, but it varies a lot depending on the food, it’s an inconsistent experience.
We loved the freshly baked pizzas, the meat, pork and fish cooked on the grill and the fresh veggies and fruits. Breakfast (which opens at 3AM!!!) was rich, we loved the crepes and the fresh pastries.
The two pools (one with sea water) are large enough for all the guests. There’s also a spa with an additional pool (which we didn’t use).
The private “beach” (which in reality is a concrete deck) is fantastic, almost never crowded, and gives you access to crystal clear water and a beautiful seabed, you have to walk more than a few steps down to reach it (and up again) but totally worth it.
You can also access two public beaches (Psaramoura and Mononafitis) in case you want variety, where you can rent sun beds and umbrellas in case you want, but where you can also find a corner to put your stuff and dive in the sea.
There’s a scuba diving school in case you are interested and you can rent boats and pedal boats in case.
To improve
There’s not a lot I can complain about, more small improvements I would expect the resort to do to get to be a real 5-stars.
Our room didn’t have a single chair where to put things inside. And it’s very easy to spend 50€ on a cheap chair so at least one would have it.
And it didn’t have anything to hang wet swimsuits outside.
We had to use the 4 outdoor chairs to put our wet things. Easy improvement is to spend 5€ on a plastic drying rack and fix it to a wall and remove the annoyance.
There was no easily available shower in the pool areas, despite there being a sign saying that one had to shower before entering the pool. Pretty weird. 100€ would give you enough money to install one.
There was no lifeguard on duty anywhere, this is a pretty serious issue to me as a father of two kids (despite them being expert swimmers). I would invest in hiring someone. That could also help ending the bad practice of “reserving” Sun beds early in the morning from customers.
Room doors are surprisingly thin and walls don’t insulate very well from noises, bring earplugs if you want to sleep.
One night a bunch of not-so-smart folks started kicking doors and managed to even open one, with just one strong kick. That needs a review from the hotel.
Air conditioning filters would need to be cleaned regularly, as after heavy use ours started pumping bad quality air in. I don’t know how often it happens. Once a month is enough, but filters need to be cleaned more often than they are now. Simple but a must.
Overall food quality is good, and i understand that it’s difficult to keep quality of every single dish high. One thing I would invest in however is to improve the quality of the products available: especially jam, oil, coke, orange juices, coffee and such . Those are small cost items, but having a bad quality jam or low quality oil (especially for a country that produces one of the best olive oils on the planet) can be easily spotted (and easily improved).

Great that they had as well paid bar options which makes that you can enjoy as well a bit without that many (eating and drinking) people.
We where there in July which makes it very crowded. People early in the morning putting there towels at the pool to have their spot and the very bad entertainment.

Very attentive staff, good food at (buffet) restaurant, excellent location for rest and close to a few beaches. We were lucky (and grateful to the manager) that after 1 night we got a recent quiet room closer to the beach and still with sea view. Much appreciated.
For us the entire hotel/resort was too crowded and some guests were not respectful towards the property and surroundings, e.g. lots of cups that were left behind around the property, food waste in the restaurant.
Not all rooms are comfortable for a longer period stay. Our first assigned room (with great sea view) was outdated and very close to (noisy) restaurant, bathroom too small for a couple.

Nice place in an amazing location. The hotel wasn’t as pretty as in the pictures, however we had a nice time. Buffet food was not special but it was good! The thing that I loved the most was the sunbeds near the sea and the sea view from the room! Hotel was clean.
The cozy atmosphere was missing. E.g there wasnt any mood lighting and due to this the buffet restaurant felt a bit like a school kitchen. The staff was positive but they did not seem to be so interested if all our needs are met.

Gorgeous gorgeous property, an easy walk to multiple beaches great for snorkeling, great pools with plenty of sun loungers for all, friendly staff (shoutout to the helpful front desk team who you can contact by WhatsApp message!), and stunning views from our ocean view room.
Mattress could have been more comfortable, seemed like it was due for replacement. We enjoyed the restaurant food and always left satisfied but occasionally found the meat options to be dry.

The view from the entire hotel is amazing! Two beaches nearby, about 10 minutes or less walking. The customer service was outstanding!
The hotel only has a main restaurant, and one restaurant for dinner a la carte available from Monday - Wednesday. If you are like us, that we arrived on Wednesday and stayed over the weekend you won't be able to change restaurants.

The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful. The views were absolutely stunning: this hotel has the best views around for sure. The restaurant buffet was very good quality and offered lots of options: perfect for adults and kids. All in all, highly recommend.
The only thing that was not good was the wi-fi connection. But who cares!

Agia Pelagia is in a secluded location about 25 minutes west of Heraklion. The Peninsula resort itself is perched on top of a hill and is directly atop the sea, which makes for a very scenic location. Everywhere you look, there is an amazing view of the cobalt waters of the Sea of Crete amidst mountains. It's an all-inclusive resort with two swimming pools and large rooms that can each sleep 4 individuals. We were a group of 10 and really enjoyed everything the resort had to offer. The drinks and vibe at the main bar were awesome. Loved the live entertainment as well. This was a relaxing sojourn for us after a hectic few days exploring Athens and Western Crete. And we truly relaxed. Amazing experience.
Nothing. We loved our stay and would absolutely visit again.

Location of the hotel is unique, it has a great sea view and scenery of surrounding areas.
The staff was so kind and professional.
The only downside was wifi, connection speed was quite low especially in the room.

We spend 19 days in Peninsula resort hotel in May 2023. From the very beginning when we arrived to reception we experienced a positive atmostphere. We enjoyed beautiful hospitality at the dining hall with a wide variety of delicious dishes. The kitchen and dining hall was well organised although the number of guests rose suddenly up by 100 guests in one day when more and more holidaymakers arrived. The staff were always ready to keep up the good spirit and cleanliness. It was a beautiful privilege to see how even the head chef and his number two showed up in the dining room and we could express our gratitude him about food. Just before we left, main chef suprice us with an unforgettable surprise.
It was always a pleasant to return to our room after it was cleaned everyday by a warm-hearted Maria. And similarly we saw how everyone did their job with a good heart while serving us. The hotel's surroundings are peaceful and pleasant to take walks to, for example, a small nearby village. We will surely recommend others to enjoy that experience.
Everything was just fine! Even if we had some questions we solved them with receptionist.
