The location is stunning, beach front. Just a few minutes south of Ilhéus. In the room we had a mini bar so it is quite comfortable to store food and drinks. They have a pool and direct access to the beach. Restaurant has an amazing chef who serves great dishes.
Rooms need renovation and attention. Our bathroom had mold. Furniture is quite old. Pool needs renovation as well.

The location and the view are superb. The restaurant at noon and evening also offer very good food. Staff is very friendly and helpfull.
The entire infrastructure needs a thorough reform. Breakfast was served in the restaurant, but there were lots of flies and only part of the food was protected. The swimming pool looked dirty with broken tiles. We had booked a standard room, which was not really comfortable, so we asked to change to a superior room, which was much better.

The view from the hotel is amazing.
The food in the restaurant is really good, the best thing about the hotel.
The hotel is way too expensive compared to what you get.
We paid around 170 US $ per. night around Christmas and New Year.
First, we got a room at the very back of the hotel. It seemed like the room had not been in use for a very long time. The smell inside was terrible and generally very humid and dirty. After we complained, we were able to move to a better room after 2 days. The hotel generally needs maintenance. The photos here in Booking.com is really photoshop images. Everything is nice, but nothing compared to what you see on the pictures.
The owner of the hotel is constantly around having an eye on everything, this makes the atmosphere quite tense.

Excellent breakfast and excellent location. The restaurant served wonderful food we ate there every night of our stay, excellent!
The weather was very wet at the time, and because it is a pousada under trees, some of the sloped walkways were very slippery, had to be very careful.

location, restaurant, the peacock
I would love to see this property redesigned and renovated. the rooms are dated and falling into disrepair. the hotel should consider doing more with the beach — making access easier and perhaps providing chairs, etc. the rooms are also strangely decorated — ours had a very large queen of hearts. the pool also could use a redesign to make it more modern. it’s a great property in need of a makeover.

Room had fantastic views but bathroom could have better cleaning and also the smell from the gutter didn't allow to keep the window opened
The pousada has fantastic location, great decor, amazing views

I love this little Hidden gem. But is starting to feel like a toxic love. I hope they start paying attention to details and fix those little but important details. This place is Magical, management should be more on top of things.
I had to change rooms…
Pizza was amazing.
I had to change room, i got a beautiful ocean view room, but have so many issues (ac broken, internet broken, brown water coming out of the faucet, etc) so I asked to change my room. Still love you this place.

Great little Hidden Gem! It feels like paradise! Food it’s so high end and gourmet doesn’t feel like you are in Ilheus. My Favorite Pousada in the entire area. Gonna be back soon.
