The house has a spectacular view. Beds and furniture were comfortable and house was perfect setting for my children and my grandsons. Only complaint was the house was dirty. Ceiling fans and vents covered in dust. Woodwork in house very weathered and bathroom upstairs off kitchen in poor condition. King bedroom in upper level had poor working air conditioner.

House was as described. Pool and patio furniture needs improving. We had 2 plastic pool chairs break with us. No chair cushions therefore not very comfortable

Property was on a great location and ultimately we had a fine vacation however deck was old and in poor condition and unstable – likely prone to collapse and the basement lounge area was filthy. Got little satisfaction from property management during our stay. Would not stay with surf and sound again due to their lack of addressing the problem in real time. Clearly leader ship is an issue at surf and sound.

There are a few things. The place needs an elevator - at least an outside one. The stairs are ridiculous for three stories. The people vacationing next to us had an elderly father who died of a heart attack in their vacation house because no elevator. The pool was small and the lights didn't work. There were no linens, apparently, after Sept 6 so we had to rent them. There were also no blankets, just the comforters on the bed. The carpets need cleaned, no big deal because it is pet friendly and sometimes there are accidents. The dune, no cause of the rental place, was really high so even on the top deck couldn't see the beach. Perhaps a walkway could be built to the beach instead of the sand. The rooms were smaller then the photos show, I need to learn how to take photos like that. We came on the back of a hurricane but all was good for us. Splinters in feet from the deck, so that could be fixed. The one thing we hated, the rental property owners workers just walked into the place without knocking. Just showed up and walked in, what would happen if we were naked or what ever. That was not cool. there are just some changes could be made in regards to things I have mentioned, but it was a nice place, clean and we had lots of fun.

We enjoyed our stay at Storms End. Waves, NC is a great location. The house was very comfortable and had many great amenities. The kitchen was great and fully stocked with all the common utensils/plates/bowls. There was a coffee pot as well as a keurig. The bedrooms were spacious and each bedroom had a full bathroom. The only thing to note was that the two king beds were actually California Kings so regular king sheet sets did not fit the beds. The decks off the back of the house gave great views and allowed you to hear the waves crashing on the beach from two of the bedrooms. Unfortunately the wood floor boards of the decks have seen better days so caution is needed when walking across them in bear feet or else you get splinters. The hot tub on the top deck worked well and was very relaxing. The pool was a little small but would be good for kids to splash around in. The media room was impressive and there were many DVDs available. The house also had some board games available. The washing machine worked well but the dryer wouldn’t dry towels. The beach access was great with only a short walk over a dune and the beach was fantastic. We felt like we had our own private section on the beach. Across the street from the development there was a fantastic bar with amazing food called Watermen’s. All in all this was a great house in a fantastic location for a relaxing beach vacation!
