Experience the Best of Avalon Beaches without Breaking the Bank in this Beautiful Cottage near the Beach and Bay! This beautiful four bedroom, one and half bathroom, two story single family PET FRIENDLY home is truly a bayside gem. Lovingly nicknamed "The John Oliver House" for his stay in the early 2000's, this home offers an economical option to vacation just over two blocks from the pristine beaches of Avalon. The property owner(s) have worked hard updating the home to provide a genuine vacation experience with the whole family in mind and needs to be experienced in person to be appreciated. (Recent updates include a fenced in rear yard and brand new central AC!) Any parking concerns are alleviated with a two car, or one SUV, driveway located on the western end of the home and additional off-street parking located directly out-front. One of the most popular ways of enjoying the home is to leave the car parked in the driveway or out front, walking to the beach and surrounding town, then taking the JITNEY to 96th Street in neighboring Stone Harbor for some Springer’s Ice Cream. Exquisite dining options around the corner up Dune and Ocean Drive(s) include Polpo Ristorante, the Rock N Chair, Il Posto Ristorante, the Garden of Eatin', Diving Horse, Café Loren, Via Mare Ristorante, and for a filling breakfast be sure to visit Uncle Bills. Enjoy a day of various shopping styles popping into Vineyard Vines, Breezin' Up, or The Preppy Palm. Don’t forget to stop at Isabelle's Bakery for some coffee and donuts before the trip home. Reserve your Avalon Escape today!

Upon first entry into the home, guests are positioned within the first floor Florida queen bedroom. (This room has been enclosed, modified, and furnished with a queen bed to provide a fourth bedroom for additional guests.) Immediately past the Florida bedroom is the living room with stairwell access to the second floor, and the dining room. The dining room is between the living room and the kitchen. Inside the kitchen is everything needed to prepare meals including dishware, stemware, flatware, pots, pans, gas range, and oven. The utility room off the kitchen, just past the rear access door, features a full stacked washer and dryer, as well as the first floor lavatory. One of the most attractive features of this property is the fenced in rear yard with plenty of space to entertain company and let the pooches play. There is also a built-in leash-stake for the overly ambitious pups. Back inside the second floor of the home, the remaining three bedrooms will be immediately at the top of the landing. The bedroom located to the left is furnished with a Queen Bed. The second bedroom immediately in front has one Twin bed and one Double/Full bed. Finally, the third bedroom to the right has a Double/Full bed. Continuing to the right and around the corner, the second floor full bathroom will be at the end of the hallway by the storage closet.

It was an older property but that to me just made it more comfortable and relaxing. Everything worked and beds were comfortable. We enjoyed our time there.

Rating Details: The property manager was very unhelpful. The vacation rental was very dirty. I was somewhat unhappy with the location. I was very dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: My rental experience was the worst I ever had since I began renting in 1980. The house is a 1950 style cottage. we were just 2 adults hoping to stay for 4 days. In short, I'll note the following:
Keys were very difficult to use.
The House was dirty - kitchen floor not clean, dog hair everywhere, air condition units were not sealed allowing bees to enter the home, the kitchen utensils are not clean, glasses not clean, the back yard is over grown and has a fair amount of bees and the place has very little natural light. The most disturbing fact however is that the property management company didn't visit the property before we rented or before we arrived. How can you trust a property management company that doesn't even inspect the rental property?
