it has up-to-date appliances, fixtures, or high-speed internet, that can be a big plus.
warm lighting, a good layout, or comfortable furnishings can make a place feel like home

Also ja man kanns essen.

I like the surronding environment which is clean and beautiful. The hotel room is spacious and full of facilities. Staffs are friendly and helpful.
I don't like the breakfast with very limited choices and the tastes are very average. The coffee machine is broken down and the outdoor is full of fries.

The ambiance, the scenery, the staff, the pools

I would like to givey compliment to the security guard an old Indian uncle greeted us with his politeness and informed us in details about The Haven. Give us good impressions at the first start. I think his name is Mr Thayalagan if Im not wrong. Other than that the room that we stayed is spacious, water pressure in the bathroom are great unlike some northern resorts, the room are clean kudos to housekeeping team, the swimming pool is clean and leisure pool is fantastic. Breakfast at Cuisine's are tasty and delicious. Overall our stay vacation at The Haven is a good choice. Keep it up
The main lift lobby towards to the facilities area the lightings are bit dimmer...it should be bright enough to welcome guests.

The facility was very clean and the staff were very polite and helpful. Breakfast was a great spread with the staff constantly assisting in ensuring the best service possible. It is a place the whole family would happily return to for any future trips to Ipoh.
There was nothing on this our 1st trip not to like at The Haven.

Beautiful setting, modern clean and spacious layout exactly as specified. Outstanding pool with stunning backdrop and great restaurant with very engaging and polite staff. Hard to find fault.
Not so much a dislike more of an observation that you must have a car to be really able to sample the local Ipoh sights and attractions.

The pool and the view.
The staff at the coffee house during breakfast. During the first breakfast they re-directed us up the stairs to the tent and re-assured that the spread was the same. Yes, they were the same, but I had to call the floor staff numerous times to re-fill and I had to wait a long time.
During the second breakfast, we came early so we thought we could have breakfast at the coffee house but instead they re-directed us again to the tent which we didn't like to be honest.
The tent was just next to the bushes, trees, and growth, with food around they attracted some bugs.

The rooms and bathrooms we stayed in were spacious. The beds were extra-large, I think they put two queen beds together. The kitchen was also spacious and conveniently there was a Coway in it. Whichever room you picked the view was simply stunning. The pool was huge and there was always a 'new' spot to swim or dip in. The compound was no short of amazing. You'll be in the middle of nature surrounded by limestone hills, lushes greenery and a lake in the centre. The breakfast was good but nothing to shout about. But if you savor local delicacies or your preferred takeaways like the golden arches, colonel's fried chicken or green mermaid's coffee then they are not far off, reachable by a quick drive.
Three staff.
First one. On the first day and on arrival as we stopped at the main lobby the boy who manned the lobby told me to temporarily parked the car a little bit behind as 'we did not know where our room was yet'. So, we haven't dropped our luggage. Whereas the car before me and after me had dropped theirs. After checking-in our room was at the same building of the main lobby. Then I had to drive-by my car again and dropped the luggage. It was a nuisance, and he didn't even apologize. Regardless which building our room may be it was not our problem on how the bellboy was going to send our luggage.
Second one. As we got to our room floor we looked at the sign board for the room number. Then we looked left then right to see where our room was. We couldn't find it. The funny thing was the bellboy also didn't know where our room was! We re-look closely and our room was right in front of us at the centre of the floor. The bellboy should have known right? But he didn't.
And the third. On the second last day I made another booking extending another night and I specifically wrote that we insisted on the same room so that we avoid the trouble to move to another room. As I was at the reception requesting to extend the room card key the staff told me that they will move us to another room because they will be renovation works on that floor. I said no and I have already put in a request then she said "well if there are noises don't complain ya. Or you see how first, if it is too noisy then we can move you lah". That kind of answer was absurd but the funny part was, there wasn't any works the next day.

Spacy room, water dispenser on the room, clean, beautiful view from the window, the pool, and excelent restaurant with nice staff. We enjoyed it a lot, thank you!
Maybe just the body lotion may be added on the room. One thing which may be improved - on the picture is a kitchenette, but is available only at extra costs (you are not able to turn on the stove). It is right that in the text description is kitchenette not mentioned but I didnt notice. Once I saw the photo I automaticaly thought it is there. To avoid confusing, I would mention this fact explicitly in the text.

The location is really fantastic.
Staff were reasonably friendly but a little laid back.
The property was well looked after and very clean.
Breakfast had a very good selection of local and Western food and was very enjoyable.
This is not strictly a hotel it is managed service apartments so you have mixed accommodation with residents so therefore not a 5 star but a good 4.
There was a high level of noise from ajoining apartments so we left after 2 of our 3 day reservation. The staff offered to change our room but by then we had had enough.

Big suite that really comfortable.
We was given a free upgrade. But the door lock is not functioning and needs to move to another suite. So it is being downgraded back. The aircond in second room is not functioning and we have to call the housekeeping twice to fix the aircond. In fact the aircond still got problem when we checkout.

Away from city hustle. Surrounding areas well preserved & tranquil. Swimming pool was clean & fun (esp the transparent infinity pool). Walking trek is well maintained but further maintenance is welcome. Room was clean & spacious. Staff are courteous & helpful.
Some amenities such as biz centre & rooftops looked like being abandoned.

The resort is beautiful with spectacular view.
It is a bit further away from the Ipoh town.

We had a wonderful stay . They kindly upgraded our room to a spacious suite with a kitchen and lounge room . The view was spectacular! The pool was fabulous for lap swimming. The food at the restaurant was delicious. The staff were delightful. Miguel was such good fun and so thoughtful.
Loved everything

The awesome view of the mountains and surrounding area from the apartment windows never failed to impress and lift our spirits. Beautiful and relaxing. The swimming pool is also great.
The breakfast location, while cosy wasn't that ideal. The air coolers were not switched on in time to dispel the heat, especially for those who chose the 7am timing. The floorboards also seemed a bit unsafe, producing sounds and movement that gave one pause.
Sadly, not all of the breakfast dishes were ready for the guests. The congee, for example, was stone cold, and guests had to wait for it to heat up before trying.

1. The rooms are Ok
2. Bathrooms are Ok
1. The room cleaning service- Although I have verbally informed the reception in the morning, when i and my family came back in the evening, the rooms was not cleaned (stayed 3 days 2 nights)
2. The Breakfast- My wife have problem with her knee, despite telling the staff, he asked us t climb steps to a higher ground for breakfast despite there was a table available near cafe entrance for 4 of us.
3. We chosen our breakfast 8.30am -9.30am, we had our breakfast beginning 8.45am. I waited in long que for scramble egg for 30 minutes. There was only 1 staff cooking in Egg Section and it was Saturday. By the time I received my scramble egg and about to sit down the Bangla staff came to our table and table and said 9.30am we have to stop breakfast (that time was about 9.20am). I complained to him about the delay and he ran away. In addition, the menu was not refilled on time. Example the fried kuey teow buffet tray was empty and i waited nearly 20 minutes before it was refilled. Despite this, the staff asking us to leave by 9.30am.
4. For 2 days at around 11.45am (27.8.2023 and 28.8.2023) I tried to call the Reception many times but nobody answer. The first call on 27/8 is to ask the Reception to ask the cleaners to clean the room. As he/she didn't reply, I walk down to the Reception counter and told them why no one answer; they just said sorry and i can hear the phone ringing from other callers. Then they said they will inform the cleaners but the cleaners never came. The 2nd time i called on 28/8 was to ask for Bell service as we we checking out but no one answered.
5. When I book the hotel 2-3 weeks before check in, I have already asked a room to be near the reception and swimming pools. But when I check in, they gave me Tower C that was very far from the Reception, swimming pool and the Cafe.
I have paid RM1.7k for 3 days and 2 nights and I received a lousy treatment.

Fair selection of food!
We asked for some soup bowls. Took a long time for it to be sent to our apartment.

What I like about this place is that, the staffs are all very friendly and nice. The place is also very gorgeous, very nature-y. After breakfast, me and my family would walk around the lake just enjoying the scenery and the birds chirping around. The pool is also great! The rooms are nice, cozy and most importantly clean. The bathrooms have good showers with good water pressure. All in all it was a great stay. Would definitely come back here again for a short r&r :)

2nd time staying at the place. Fav place for us ( me and husband) to stay due to its cozy, comfortable suites. Feels like home.
During our 2nd stay the bedsheet smells so bad like foot odor. So uncomfortable. So, before we went out my husband put a note on the bed to change the bedsheet . Then only it doesnt smell anymore. There is a distinct smell also coming from the bathroom. Seems like our suite wasnt cleaned well before guest checking in.

Friendly staff. Even not all but majority is very friendly. The view and location is the best at Ipoh and Perak. Cleanliness is superb. They also give free snack like chips, soda and coffee machine in room.
They have a beautiful kitchen but only allowed to use stove or cooking something if we stay 7 night above. I hope they have 2 bedroom or 1 bedroom apartment with lakeview.
3.5 / 5.0
Spacious, clean, tidy , comfortable for healing
The chips need to pay. Maybe can consider to provide some snack for free. The nett price is too enough to cover for the chips or maybe cheaper snacks maybe

Beautiful grounds with the pool, lake, and limestone backdrop surrounding the blocks. Grounds are well maintained and staff are friendly and well trained to handle the large crowds over the weekend.
The hotel is not, by any measure, a 5 star hotel and should not be marketed as such. As a condo converted to a hotel, the units, while large, are dirty, toilets are gross, everything is falling apart and not maintained at all. We minimized the time we spent in the rooms and enjoyed the water park, the breakfast area and the areas surrounding the Haven.

Nice view from balcony. Big space. Decorated the room for my wife birthday. But the free cake tasted hard and plain.
Seems poorly maintained. Shower head at bathtub leaking. Lack of basic kitchen items like fork spoon and washing liquid etc. sofa has cracks and rough patches. breakfast is not that good.

Really like the outdoor environment with all those limestone hills, the forest and the lake.really making a good healing vibes, away from all the busyness outside.all staffs and the management are so friendly.also appreciate all the compliments and surprise cake for my wife's birthday.and not to forget the birthday deco in our room🥰
Just 1 thing.after midnight outside too dark.all lights out😅it would be spectacular if they have colorful spotlights shining on those limestone hills and forest.can be an additional attraction for all guests☺️

Cosy and clean rooms.
Reception was friendly and efficient.
Many facilities eg swimming pool, tennis, gym, pingpong, squash and badminton.
Pretty views at the swimming pool area.
Running track was awesome, with good pavements for us to walk on.
1. The beautiful smart tv in the living room and in the master room wasn’t even working well, no reception and no Netflix. More like decoration.
2. Toiletbowl cover not fixed properly, kept closing so have to hold it up when I sit.
3. Gym could be more ventilated.
4. Cuisine restaurant rated number 1. But breakfast was so so. When I came it was all empty, I thought a buffet suppose to be full at all times? For a 5 star buffet was not up to par.
