Kunne vært havre og musli mulighet til frokost med rismelk eller annen melk som holder seg godt.
Personalet var meget vennlige.

The manager was attentive and recommending me to amazing local places (to eat, to have a cup of coffee and etc...). Daily provided kuih was also so lovely :)
Water pressure in the bathroom, if i have to pick one!

Great location, just outside the touristic area (walking distance). Very friendly staff.
The room was small, with window to the interior pateo. Notheless it was confortable and quiet.

Attention to detail, the linen was good quality , the hotel was spotless, owner was especially lovely.

Good location in the heritage zone, nice eateries close by. Unexpected treat of tea and a sweet treat on return to the hotel.
Not much natural light in the room. Bathroom was quite small with no separation with the shower so the whole bathroom is soaked after a shower

Very clean, friendly service, good advice about places around George Town to visit. Comfy bed, good aircon and thoughtful special touches like tea and snacks every day. Would definitely stay here again.
No pool/bath for when you are hot and wanting to soak to cool off. Some of the staff, whilst being friendly and very kind, do not speak English/Malay/Chinese which can make it difficult to communicate. Having said that, this wasn't a big issue and any queries we had ended up being able to be answered despite this.

It was a wonderful and nostalgic experience staying at Betel Nut Lodge. I wanted to stay in a heritage hotel/ building, and that's what I got. Thank you to the two Staff there for taking care of me during my visit.
The water pressure from the Shower head was very low, therefore taking a shower was a slightly frustrating experience.

Everything was great , especially the hot bread served on arrival with tea even though it was late at night.
The neighbourhood is really cool , a mix of cool coffee shops, local food and fruit vendors and old style buildings.
Georgetown is great to explore on foot.
There were some ants running around the reception desk, when I arrived.

Location was near some good eating places. Owner was friendly and even treat us to dessert n tea.
My room was very cramp and bed was too small. A/C and fan was noisy. Most staff can't seems to understand English or malay. All together it was not really value for money

We loved our stay here. Great location, quiet but also in the centre of things. The guest house is charming and characterful. The room was pretty small but beautiful, with everything we needed. Staff were so friendly and attentive. We were given a very useful map with things to see and places to eat. We were also brought tea and fresh pastries in the afternoon, this was a lovely bonus!
The room was small, but this is an old building so so to be expected.

Well-maintained heritage house in the middle of all the best places to eat in George Town! The real asset of Betel Nut Lodge though is the owner himself who told us wonderful stories of George Town, of turning his teenage dream of running a hotel a reality and who was also kind enough to prepare a map of all the must eats in George Town. Hands down would definitely, definitely stay here again the next time we come for a visit!

This is a great place from where to get to know Georgetown/Penang. Small boutique hotel. One of the nicest places we’ve stayed in SEA. The owner is super helpful, gives you all the restaurant recommendations (try all of them), the room is very clean and cosy. would really recommend this place!
the best is the afternoon tea/cake that they bring you to the room. thank you very much

Excellent strategic location , within 10mins walk to many top rated attractions, cafes, local eateries , and street art!
Exclusive and cozy home-style accommodation. experience the living in a modern Peranakan house .

The cutest little guesthouse inside a heritage building in the Old Town. The owner is very nice and so knowledgeable about Penang’s history. He also gave us some great tips on which specialty food to try. The room was clean, nicely decorated and spacious. And the staff was very friendly and helpful too.

- Probably the best service we had in our trip ; kind attentions of the two gentlemen supervising the lodge (almond drink, tea and snacks). Trustworthy staff which makes the stay relaxing.
- They even lent us an umbrella a few times which was very helpful !
- Very useful food map to try in Penang
- Quiet and clean
- Peaceful and respectful atmosphere
- Great location, easy for walking around
- Nothing to dislike, maybe some indications on ferry timings would have been helpful before our arrival as we missed the last ferry and arrived a bit late
- we discovered the living room/lounge at the very end when retrieving our bags to leave, it would have been nice to have the possibility to enjoy it during the stay

Everthing is perfect!
- The staff kindly explained about the area and the background of the house and recommended the restaurants and places you should visit.
- Free snack is a plus! In my case they are a cup of hot almond milk and traditional cookies which are so good.
- The room is super clean comparing to the same antique houses I had visited
- The location is awesome with the bus stop opposite the main road
- Their service mind is exceptional, I forget my earrings while leaving and heading to the airport and the staff was willing to bring them to the airport for me because the Grab express service is not available in the early morning. Thank you again for this excellent service it beyonds the expectation.

The staff was really friendly and recommended us good places for local food. They also gave us maps to get an overview of the area. Every afternoon we got green tea and a pastry, in the evening almond tea. However, the hotel is well located and has a nice interior. Overall it was a fantastic stay in Georgetown.

The staff at Betel Nut Lodge offer warmth and care. Location is perfect. There are two kopitiam's just across the property. It's quiet within the property. There is a common space downstairs that is airy for breakfast or to simply have a bite. Wifi speed is spot on. Betel Nut Lodge is a gem on its own.

Room was small, but clean and comfortable. It had all that is needed for a short stay. Location is really good, within walking distance for all the main streets in George Town, at least if you like to walk like me! Staff was super friendly and helpful. Very beautiful inside courtyard, with common area. Water for drinking available all the time, and coffee and tea, if wanted.
The room was a bit noisy. They have some chimes up on the roof that woke me up during the night (I am a very light sleeper, others wouldn't probably be disturbed). Second night had mosquitoes, I was careful, so maybe when staff came in for cleaning.

Everything spot on. Quiet and relaxing. Nice rustic decor. Well run, kind, happy, friendly staff. Very polite and courteous. Nothing too much bother :)
Breakfast could of been more exciting! Ie cereals and yoghurts

Warm, friendly, and engaging staff made my stay at Betel Nut especially delightful. They run a relaxed, yet professional, small establishment close to George Town's most famous and iconic tourist (and locals) destinations. Best of all, each of the 4 people I interacted with at the hotel took time to insure my comfort --from bringing iced coffee up to my room when I returned to the lodge hot and sweaty, to making sure I had lists of places to dine and historic locations to visit before I walked out the front door each morning.
The Lodge is spotlessly clean and comfortable. My twin bed room had soft, bleach free linens, comfortable pillows, and mattresses that offered great support. In room AC and ceiling fan kept me cool. Water pressure was surprisingly good in the charming older building the hotel resides in.
The breakfast room is quaint, and set up to encourage interactions between guests at their single, large dining table. Breakfast itself is very basic, but somehow the endless pot of fresh coffee, toast with a honey-like Malay spread, and a piece or two of fresh fruit each morning was a perfect way to start the day on a light note. Best of all, while I was staying there all the guests picked up on the Betel Nut's warm vibe and chatted like old friends. It was certainly the warmest engagement I've had with other guests in a hotel or B&B in years, and a reflection of the welcoming environment the Betel Nut provides.
If warmth, comfort, security, and peace of mind, are priorities when travelling (vs. luxury amenities, grand lobbies, and swimming pools), the Betel Nut is an excellent choice. I highly recommend it.

All was great. Owner was very generous with his time and obviously cares for his guest’s requests.
Rooms are a bit small but very comfortable.
