About this house rental
Living Spaces
At 820 Monroe (formerly known as Family Tides), it's easy to imagine gazing out through the oversized windows to watch the captivating lake views before you. It's equally easy to imagine lighting a fire in the fireplace and snuggling into one of the cozy sofas with a hot cup of tea. Whether you choose to dig into the book you've been saving, check your socials, or stream a show or movie on the Smart TV, this room envelopes you like a gentle hug. The basement game room is another refuge, complete with an oversized leather sofa, and TV. The kids (and the kids at heart) will happily spend hours at the foosball table. The corner table for four is ideal for either board or card games.
Peak & Non-Peak Season
If you are interested in staying a full week in the non-peak season, September through April, please send in an inquiry with your travel dates and we are happy to supply weekly pricing for your trip.
Cooking & Dining
The incredible, oversized kitchen is fit for a gourmet chef, complete with professional-grade appliances including a 6-burner gas stove. The double-width island features a double sink and a separate vegetable sink. There's more than enough room for even the largest of grocery orders and more food prep space than even 5 people could use simultaneously! The adjacent dining area for 12 will tempt even the die-hard “TV with dinner” folks into pulling up a chair for a family meal. If you prefer your meals al fresco, it's easy to take advantage of the outdoor grill and oversized dining table.
Bed & Bath
820 Monroe (formerly Family Tides) boasts 5 bedrooms and 4 baths across 3 levels. Everyone in your group can look forward to a restful nights' sleep in comfortable beds with high-quality linens. Incredible views await you in the large, main-level master suite, with a king-size bed, dual nightstands and lamps, and ceiling fan. Complete with a desk and chair and a separate seating area, this room feels like a true sanctuary. The ensuite bath offers a modern claw-foot soaking tub, tiled walk-in shower with a bench, and dual sinks. A second full bath is located near the front entryway and offers a walk-in shower. Upstairs are two bedrooms that share a full hall bath with a tub/shower. The first of these bedrooms offers a queen bed, dual nightstands and lamps, and a ceiling fan. The second can be used as a kids' lair or family suite, with a double-over-double bunk and a king bed. The basement offers two bedrooms that share a full hall bath with a walk-in shower. The first of these offers a king bed and TV, with the second offering a queen bed and TV.
Outdoor Spaces
Mother Nature takes center stage at 820 Monroe (formerly Family Tides). Take in the sweeping lake views from the covered patio or up-close-and-personal on your private sandy beach with Adirondack chairs. The fenced-in backyard oasis is a safe and private space for your group to hang out and make memories together. The outdoor pool is where guests love to spend sunny days splashing around. When playtime is over for the day, the auto cover makes light work of covering up the pool to keep everyone safe (especially little guests). The giant Jenga game is sure to provide some family fun and new memories. Gather around the fire pit for stories, laughs, and s'mores. But everyone's favorite might just be the warm, bubbling hot tub on the cool Lake Michigan evenings.

We loved the house. Our vacation included our son and his family, our daughter and her family and our daughter in laws family. It was big enough for every and we made wonderful dinners every night in the perfect kitchen and great gril. We hope to return.

We arrived Friday after four. Once settled in my wife had an ant crawling on her while setting on the couch. Did think much else about it. Found a few more on Saturday while in the living room. Before checking out Sunday they were a bunch on the floor and the living room table. Other than the ants the stay was perfect!

Pool was will heated, house is in a great location, management friendly and communicative. Excellent stay.

The property is perfectly placed atop the bluff overlooking the lighthouse and beach of South Haven on Monroe Ave.
The house was adequate for our family, which included our grandkids who loved the new pool. This house has it all, and has become our new favorite. One improvement we would suggest is to clear out some of the growth on the hillside so that the lighthouse could be visible from the house and sitting areas. Thank you for a great week !

We had a wonderful time. We change towns each year but we are already planning our return. Great weekend. Thanks for sharing your home with us.

Nice property with wonderful view of Lake Michigan. Access to private beach, which thoroughly enjoyed. Stairs to beach a little tricky for grandmother. Close to many South Haven attractions. Great family town. House has plenty of space. We needed to call for directions on how to use oven and had a very prompt response. Want to come back sometime.

Spacious home on the lake, short walk to the beach
We enjoyed a weekend with 8 adults, 1 child, and 2 infants at this home. The kitchen was perfect for cooking and congregating throughout the weekend. We loved all the outdoor space, lake views, and small beach on the property. The public beach is just a short walk away as well. With 4 couples, we did have one couple stay in the bunk room and another in the basement on a Murphy bed. Overall, would definitely recommend for a larger group traveling to South Haven!

Wonderful vacation
This house couldn’t have been more perfect for my family. Traveling with a one and three year old is always challenging. You can imagine my delight when I walked into the basement and it was the dream playroom for my kids! TV, lots of games, a table just their size, and a play kitchen. Lots of extra sand toys for the beach, a large yard for them to run around, a fully stocked kitchen, and a postcard view. I feel as if the listing didn’t do this property justice. We had an amazing time and will be returning soon.

Amazing house!
The house and the view were amazing! Every bed was comfortable and the location is great. You can walk down to the main beach or the park. You can also take a dip in front of the house down the stairs. The only complaint we had was some of the stairs down to the water were a bit dangerous with our older parents/young kids so just be careful!

Beautiful house in a perfect location!
This property was perfect for our group of 9. The 4 kids loved sharing the bunked room and all accommodations were lovely. The hot tub was a welcome relief and the views of the lake were just gorgeous. No complaints here, it was an amazing weekend!

Our family went for a long weekend and had a wonderful time! The location was fantastic, on the water with amazing views (we all sat in silence one night and watched the sunset over the lake for 30 minutes), private beach access, and a walk or short drive to town. It had multiple seating options leading to the beach, a great hot tub and plenty of room in the house for everyone. The house was very clean and the kitchen was fully stocked with dishes, utensils, glassware, etc. The management staff was consistently easy to work with and very friendly. For all of these reasons and more, this house ranks among one of our family's favorites!

Beautiful home on the lake
Our family had a wonderful winter getaway at this house. The location is perfect with stunning views of the lake. The house seemed larger and nicer in person than the pictures. Everything was clean. My toddlers enjoyed some nice surprises like the play kitchen in the basement and kid’s books while the adults loved the hot tub. Perfect getaway spot!

We had a wonderful stay at 820 Monroe!
The location on the bluff overlooking the lake was incredible and the house was super comfortable. The fire pit and jacuzzi were lovely during the winter weather, and we used both indoor fireplaces the whole time. Everything was wonderful, thank you!

Beautiful home with amazing views
My husband and I rented this beautiful house for our anniversary weekend (Thursday-Sunday). It was everything we were hoping for and more! The home is absolutely beautiful, with amazing views of Lake Michigan and the sunsets. My in laws and kids came up on Friday. Only downside of the whole trip was the weather on Saturday (terrible winds), but the upside of that was we were able to see the awesome waves crashing into the lighthouse. We cannot wait to stay again, especially when it’s warmer.

Beautiful View
The house was as expected, very clean and fit all 10 of us easily. Lots of space to relax and the outside views from the patio were fabulous. The kitchen has everything you need. We enjoyed being a very short distance from the town center and the lighthouse and nearby park.

Wonderful home
Clean, enjoyable home. Views and access to water and small private beach were wonderful. Easy walk in town. Would absolutely stay here again.

Great Family Time
Accommodating 3 families ,2 with toddlers is an accomplishment. We not only had the space for beds and eating, but being able to get to the beach easily along with playground and downtown. The steps down prohibited a lot of time down , but nice to have the option. Air conditioning in basement was very loud to sleep there, and cold, but was an option for sleeping.

The view from this property is reason enough to stay here! There are amazing lake views from at least 4 seating areas on your way down to the lake--sunsets were spectacular. The house itself is very well maintained. Everything you could want for your stay is already there. My teenage kids loved the basement and the bunk room. I highly recommend this house.

Wonderful getaway!
We could not have been more pleased with our stay! The home was beautiful, immaculate and had everything we needed and the views of Lake Michigan and sunsets were magnificent! Location was great, close to the park, beach and downtown restaurants and shops. The kids had so much fun in the hot tub and with the foosball table and we all enjoyed s'mores by the fire while watchin the sunset. We are already talking about the next time we can visit South Haven and stay here again.

Beautiful! Even in winter, this was a lovely getaway!
Really loved the property, the views of the sunrises & lake throughout the day were incredible. We used many of the features in the home & everything was well maintained, clean and functional. We thoroughly enjoyed watching sunsets from the hot tub, enjoyed the fire pit during the day, and the kids really loved the comfort and coolness of having their own bedroom (with a TV!) and the basement space. We will return for sure when we save up enough for another getaway!
