Great location and very friendly and helpful staff
The layout of the room meant I banged my head on the ceiling en route to the bathroom during the night! Watch out for the low ceiling!

Sehr nettes und zuvorkommendes Team.
Überteuert während unserem Aufenthalt.

* Staff! They were always pleasant and helpful.
* Rooms were ready ahead of time and a slightly later checkout was arranged for as well. They were very accommodating in that regard.
* Very convenient location. Only a 5-10 min walk from Bruxelles-Centraal station and 1 min away from Grand Place.
* Beds were comfortable.
* Rooms were soundproof. Very convenient for such a central location.
* Toilet was not fully clean. This was the main negative.
* Shower cubicle floor was scratched and worn, but I suppose this will happen with age.
* Lock to the bathroom door was broken.
* Very narrow staircase, which spirals between the 1st and 2nd floors. Although reception mentioned a lift, there was no sign of one. Possibly we misheard and reception said there was no lift. Carrying suitcases up and down the stairs wasn't pleasant (even though the reception staff offered to do it for us).
* We liked the eco-friendly aspects (non-disposable shower gel dispenser, etc). However, rooms came with bottled water (in plastic bottles) and the segregated waste bins mentioned in the room leaflet were not present.
* One of the provided water bottles had already been opened (i.e., was unsealed).
* We travelled outside the peak season and on weekdays and it was still very expensive. Presumably the high price tag is for the location.

This place is a true gem in the heart of the city, surrounded by the best restaurants and museums, and with such an amazing staff. We would repeat a thousand times, strongly recommended.

Location was perfect - right near the Grand Place
were helpful and friendly
A little noisy at night with the window open

Staff: The best part of this hotel was the employees. Most of them were very friendly and helpful. One of them even cleaned the blood marks on the wall the next day – how nice! Upon my cancellation request, the French employee politely declined my request but tried to solve my problem as much as she could. I thought how she handled the situation was very professional and helpful.
Bugs: This place was infested with bugs, especially mosquitoes. I forgot to completely close the window but even so I never had to face this problem in other hotels. I had a lonely battle with a platoon of them from 2 am to 5 am as the pictures show. The reception is available but not 24/7; however, there was an emergency number, so I called (because it was an emergency) and the employee suggested I wait until the next morning. I noticed the previous guests' battle with bugs on the walls and curtains as well. I know most hotels never wash their curtains, but this hotel probably should at some point.
Stairs: The 45-degree stairs were initially shocking but later manageable.
Odor: There is this weird smell in my room (I don’t know about other rooms, but at least the one I stayed in for three days). It is a combination of bad plumbing and bathroom odor that pervades the entire room. I wanted to cancel for a refund (or partial refund), but it was obviously not possible.
My suggestion and final verdict: Very good location and decent value for money but I would spend 100 euro more per day and consider other option if I ever visit Brussels again. A deep cleaning of the room and the bathroom would definitely benefit this hotel.

rooms were better than I imagined. clean sheet and bathroom. comfortable overall
weirdly placed stairs. also approach has cobbled roads so if you have heavy luggage it’s very difficult. hotel should maybe call out that.

The location of the hotel is perfect, very close to the central train station.
Many good restaurants all around the hotel
And very nice to walk around the the area of the hotel.

nice clean, basic hotel in a great location. staff was very friendly
seemed a bit overpriced to me for what you get, but I guess that’s the big city

Really friendly staff who gave advice about where to go for dinner and drinks, always smiling and checking all was OK. Room was very clean and the beds were comfortable. Proximity to all main attractions, literally a few minutes walk away. Tea and coffee facilities were basic but functional. The room was a little chilly but the radiator could be adjusted. The stairs are super steep and we were offered help with our bags but they weren't a problem for us, but they may be tricky for some.

The man who checked us in was very friendly and even helped us with our bags.

Quiet even though in a busy area. Bed was comfortable and room was very clean. Staff were really friendly and helpful.

Location is perfect. easy to go to different places within the city. Everything is within walking distance and the tourist spots are within reach.
The entire building is old so no lift and the stairs are steep, but this was expected and was clear way beforehand when booking. What was unexpected was the noise, I could clearly hear other rooms, and I could hear everyone talk and walk in the stairs. So if someone goes back home at 3AM YOU COULD HEAR it. And not just hear, but really WAKE you up. People can be noisy, it's just the sound-proof of the walls and doors that's an issue.

Eva, The receptionist was very nice. She gave great recommendations for places to visit, bars, and restaurants. We did practically everything she told us. The location is a very short walk from the train station, we actually walked passed it and had to turn back. We arrived before check in, they let us leave our bags and even took them to the room once it was ready.
This was not an issue for us, but just a fair warning. These older European cities have narrow buildings and this is one of them. The stairs to get from the 2nd floor to the 3rd floor is very steep, narrow and spirals. Be wary if you have mobility issues. The front of the place is a busy alley, so you may get awoken by some drunken revelers.

Great small hotel in central location with helpful staff, comfy clean room. I recommend it if you ok with stairs.
Street quite noisy even in January!

- Very centrally located, perfect for a short visit to Brussels or to go shopping
- Rooms were quite spacious and nicely fitted out
- Bed was comfortable
- Decent value for money for Brussels
- No elevator and narrow staircase leading up to the second floor (narrow steps). Stairs to first floor were much better
- Not perfect place if you have mobility issues or lots of heavy luggage and need to go to 2nd floor
- No 24h reception

Very conveniently located.
The bathroom was so dirty when we checked in. There was a blood spot on the corner of the wall and floor in the bathroom.

We checked in late and the man that helped us was very nice. Location and staff were very nice.
Both beds did not have the sheets changed.
My wife slept on top of her bed with jackets on, and we both used towels to cover the pillows.
I've stay in 30-40 hotels a year and this is the first time I've had dirty sheets.
Cleaning staff did not do their job, making our stay uncomfortable especially with the Covid epidictic.

Room was ok. But when I check in reception desk lady just scanned my credit card and gave me room cards and said everything is fine. I haven’t explained check out time, WiFi password and facilities. It was poor service. May be she was young and not trained enough.
In my room, there is no tissue papers. other facilities were ok.

Gorgeous room! So clean and comfortable ..The two young gentlemen at reception were so friendly and helpful.. would definitely stay here again..

Room was okay, location very central, super close to Central Station
No proper reception area, makes it a bit creepy at night and quite impersonal, room was cold, 2 flights of stairs.
