The property was everything it said it would be. Lots of in house amenities to enjoy and access to the community pool to cool off in the afternoons. Excellent location and very comfortable. Highly recommend.

We started by drinking hella lot and playing pool! We played pool and darts all day long and it was never boring. Did a couple hikes the next day and jumped into the pool once we were back. Just amazing! The beds were amazing and so was the patio! Had meals on the patio together and drinks after that. Good location and a good locality to just take a peaceful stroll. Get food and cook there instead of ordering. Might visit again for a yet peaceful weekend.

Friends and I had a great time at this property to get away for the weekend. The basement was a great area to watch the Phillies take down the Padres both Friday and Saturday night!!

Me and a small group of friends stayed here for the weekend. The amenities were great and everything we needed. The basement is the perfect little cave and the multiple TVs made it easy to watch sports. Definitely recommend!!

This property was fantastic. 7 of us went on a bachelor party and we all had our own beds. The bar room with the pool table was very fun. The location was also very good. Lots of things to do in the area.

Despite some of the hiccups that the township was dealing with at the time, the owner was very accommodating and was in constant contact about the status of the issue. The home was perfect for our family of 13 getaway, providing much space to give everyone their own personal space if needed. We had 3 kids under the age of 6 and they loved the basement and the outdoor deck. The location is 25 minutes from Jim Thorpe, where we were able to find many things to do for the grandparents all the way down to the kids.

We had a great stay at this house. Personally loved the basement area with the bar and pool table. The location is also within walking distance to a couple restaurants which was nice. I have no complaints at all and would definitely consider staying again!

Great house
From the time I booked Chris the owner was super easy to talk to and help with everything. This house was amazing. The basement alone was worth the rental. Had an amazing time here and would definitely book again

COULD HAVE BEEN GREAT
I just wanted to say this review is more of pull up to the owner you can tell the house was beautiful at one time the rooms were sufficient enough for the size of my family but the cleaning service did a horrible job the bathrooms were very dirty the carpet needs replacing my family and I made the best of it by cleaning all the rooms ourselves. You can tell the place had not been updated in quite some time with some updates and a new cleaning service that has a eye for detail. This would be a Great place to Stay.

Bachelor Weekend
Had a fantastic time at this place! Everything about this place was perfect for us. We’re all Dart shooters and Pool players, so having the Dart Board and Pool Table was great! Also having the Xbox downstairs was a bonus! Only thing we noticed was that the darts provided for the American board were shot and unusable. But we did bring our own to use on the board. All in all, I would recommend this place to anyone looking to get away and relax.

Perfect Bachelor Party House
For 8 guys looking for a place to go for a bachelor party weekend, this place was perfect. The basement has all kinds of different games and activities for a group setting, along with a full dry bar. The upstairs and middle floor were also well appointed and exactly as advertised. The place wasn’t spotless, but I definitely wouldn’t say it was dirty. It’s important to mention that I think I have higher standards than most people when I consider cleanliness. It would have also been nice to be near a supermarket, but we wanted a weekend getaway, and that’s what we got. I would recommend this place to anyone traveling for the same or a similar purpose.

Convenient for large parties
The house was very large and had many levels for parties with families. We loved the basement area for when the kids went to bed. The house was neat but it wasn’t as clean as we would have liked it. I would speak to the cleaning service and make sure they’re throughly cleaning the way they should be but other than that no complaints!

Disappointing
Arrived on a Friday, house was extremely cold. Parking lot was very treacherous. Ice patches everywhere on the property. I was told it's the HOA responsibility. Three inches of rock hard snow/ ice left on the deck, grill and sitting area. My husband loves his food grilled. We cooked standing on ice. The grounds should've been cleared in preparation for guests. Fireplace didn't work, couldn't even take our coats off downstairs it was so cold. Owner didn't get back to me for 6+ hours and even then, nothing was resolved. Never responded to my text message at all. Communication was poor to say the least. It took a good 24 hrs for the first floor to get comfortable. He was more concerned with the kitchen sink leak that I had to prop a bowl under. This was the only time assistance was offered. The kitchen supplies were scarce and old as was everything in the house-literally. The kitchen refrigerator didn't even shut correctly. I was ignored and uncomfortable. Never again.

Nice property. Good amenities.
We enjoyed our stay. The house was well stocked and our party of 10 had plenty of space. Everything worked as expected but the refrigerator doesn't stay cold consistently. The finished basement is great and my kids really enjoyed hanging out down there. The community isn't as large and doesn't offer as many amenities as others in the area but it was quiet. Chris was quick to respond to any questions and I appreciated his promptness. I only gave 4 stars for cleaning as I didn't feel any extra efforts were made for Covid. It wasn't dirty, but didn't feel "hospital clean" as I would have hoped. We brought our own cleaning supplies so this wasn't an issue. All in all, I would recommend this property.

Solid place
The pictures won’t do it justice. This place is very spacious and can fulfill all of your needs. Only problem was when we tried to get rid of our garbage, a black bear pulled up to the dumpsters and said “nah”. Highly recommend, just bring bear repellent.

It was a great time staying here, even the big old bears thank you for everything
Everything that we needed was there it was a great area minus the big old bears, but other than that owner responded in good timing. Easy check in thank you it was great would rent there again

Experienced Homeowner who Traveled with my wife and 3 small children.
I Implore everyone who is even thinking about this home to stay away! I am a NYC Teacher and so is my wife and brother in law is a NYC police officer.First thing is that he mentioned something the day after we left which very much concerned me. My son threw up red cheetos the first night we were there at 4 am on the sheets and himself which we cleaned the next day. Not a spot of red on the sheets or anywhere else, but we never mentioned this because we took care of it and cleaned the sheets thoroughly I paid extra for anyway. What strikes me is that he yells at my wife the day after we left is why we didnt call him at 4 am to tell him my child threw up red on the sheets. Its so creepy thinking youve been watched or voice recorded. I can go on further but for time sake lets move on. I am so very upset because my large deposit is being withheld because in NYC we recycle and I left two empty garbage of plastic and glass only because there was no recycle bin in the community and I do not know the laws of the State and county, so I put them in two garbage bags so I don't destroy the environment. This house is not sturdy and you will be the one responsible if you end up breaking something thats been already broken and crazy glued together. Because of This and 2 broken Darts for his dartboard, one which was already falling apart, he kept my deposit. His house is nice but everything is on the verge of breaking. This owner is just a crook who set a trap to pay for past renters who destroyed his place. Under the belt 103 houses and hotel stays and I never had problem until now . His actions and comments to my wife were deplorable as in "you only cleaned to make it look clean" Then spread garbage from inside the garbage can and outside on the floor and took a picture. Fortunately I Took Photos before I left and you can see the floor spotless and the bags of recycling on the kitchen counter I did not know what do with. I wish I could upload some of my pictures but I can't. There are holes in the wall! the door doesn't close! The list can go on and on. For times sake just don't stay here he will take your deposit for any reason. His plumbing issue that he said we caused was like like that the second we came and My wife and have the texts and pictures to PROVE IT!

Fun place to stay
The basement is great! We spent most of our time hanging out in the basement as there was plenty of entertainment. The wrap around porch would be great to enjoy during nice weather.

dishonest opportunist, needs a lot of TLC
Moments after we left I got email asking for a call which he did not pick up. I then attempted to reach owner two more times with no response. Then he began texting with claims of water damage from master tub (claiming overflow) and bent trundle neither of which were used. Admitted to likely plumbing issue and stated he would return deposit . Owner then kept entire deposit then also filed insurance as well, no idea how he got repair estimates 30 minutes later. Also admitted to home security cameras and watching us, which I would have thought was baloney however mentioned what we were doing, CREEPY as I have a teenage daughter. No videos of overflow or bed damage however. House is run down with the exception of new deck, carpet stains and burns, peeling wall paper, shower and fridge door not closing properly missing and broken toilet paper holders. I suspect this property has lost value and it is not equitable to repair hence the claim for plumbing issues. Neighborhood run down and streets and lots with huge potholes everywhere. Price point seemed a good deal however you may walk away minus your deposit. In addition to this here is no lake access, you will be considered to be trespassing unless you are on the lake, even walking down to it you will be redirected as Harmony and Boulder are private. get more details and rent accordingly,. Advertised games available however they are locked in a closet. Most electronics do not work. Recommend renters look at other options up here, I have rented numerous other times on VRBO with no issues, complaints and have always recommend the site. Renter beware.

Perfect family getaway
As a family of 6, it isn't always easy to find an affordable getaway that also gives you great value and bang for your buck. This property accomplishes this. There are multiple large areas for everyone to hang out, with the "crown jewel" of areas, the lower level game room and bar, being the most impressive. A beautiful regulation-size pool table, two dart boards, Xbox on a giant screen TV and a 6 person bar kept everyone entertained every single night!
The 3 bedrooms easily accommodated our family of 6, but the added flexibility of the bunkbeds in the loft, and the futon in the lower level is a huge plus.
Every morning, we enjoyed watching multiple deer come right to the bottom of our deck to munch on some feed one of the other owners placed strategically for just that purpose. The house is located directly next to Big Boulder Lake and about 1 mile from Lake Harmony. The down side of this is that we found out that you must be a member of the Big Boulder community to take advantage of that lake's perks and Lake Harmony, although technically public, is surrounded by private residences which essentially makes that lake inaccessible also. Not a huge deal, though because there are plenty of state parks nearby with water access to please (we LOVED Beltsville Lake - public beach, super-clear water, great fishing). Also great restaurants nearby, along with Split Rock golf course, which is one of the hardest courses my son and I have played!
The townhouse community does have a pool for your use, along with two tennis courts. The pool is beautiful, but chilly (you are in the mountains!) but the tennis courts are in awful condition - still ok enough to appease novice players, but that is about it. The community also needs to repave the roads within the area - some of the potholes were nearly six feet wide and felt almost as deep!
Chris was VERY helpful throughout the process and the week we were there. We truly loved our stay and are already eyeing up a return in 2020! If you are looking for a great value vacation for a larger family, look no further!

Not Good
We have to say we were very disappointed in our home at Harmony Lake. The house is advertised to house12. We had 11 and had to rent the linins which I have never done before. The linins were not adequate and towels had to be shared or washed constantly. There were no dish towels and no pot holders or oven mitts. There was not silverware to accommodate more than one meal-forks etc. The bar area downstairs was very nice but no glasses or a place to wash them. The kitchen cabinets were a disaster and not clean. The living room carpets were filthy with stains and spots all over. We did not dare walk barefoot. It is advertised as lakes within walking distance. That is true but we were not informed until we got there that they are private and cannot be used unless you are a member. The pool area was very nice and we did use it. All in all our family made the best of it and we enjoyed the area and being together. However, we would never rent this home again.
