About this cottage rental
Pupukea Highlands sits above Waimea Bay and the magnificent beaches that are referred to as the “7 mile miracle” that makes up the North Shore of Oahu. Waiamea Bay is the birthplace of big wave surfing. Pipeline possesses the reputation of the worlds most beautiful and dangerous wave. Sunset beach is power surfing at its finest. These well known beaches are a very short drive from our beautiful properties.
My family’s one acre properties that were once part of a large farm are now homes with banana and avocado trees, along with beautiful indigenous plants native to Hawaii. The 1000 foot elevation and five minute drive to the beaches provide a cool and serene alternative to the quicker paced, people watching and warmer Kamehameha Highway District. Along with Pipeline and Sunset Beach, Haleiwa makes up the final piece of the Triple Crown of Surfing. A seven mile drive takes you to the quaint former Plantation town of Haleiwa which boast eateries and shopping that have been featured on syndicated food and travel channels. Fishing, diving, zip lining, surfing, paddling, snorkeling, cycling, sailing, shark expeditions, bird watching and skydiving are just some of the activities that are available. Newly renovated, 300 sq ft compact caretakers house comes with a full shower bathroom, queen bed, ceiling fans, full size stainless steal refrigerator and with 250 sq ft weather protected lanai perfect for outdoor living and star gazing. The little house is designed for couples and solo adventurers. The unit is a separate building from the main house and has its own entrance. Although it is small it provides all of the amenities needed for an enjoyable getaway. Safe and secure, the cottage is situated within a secured property. TV, Wifi and off street parking provided. 30 NIGHT BOOKINGS REQUIRED. INQUIRE FOR MORE DETAILS. Price depends on time of year, length of stay and number of guests. Please get in touch with me at [email protected].

This property is exactly as represented, and even more. The hosts are fabulous, making you feel comfortable immediately. The setting is spacious and immaculate, and provides the perfect location to enjoy the North Shore. I will definitely stay here again -

This cottage was as advertised...a cozy home base on the North Shore, perfect for a solo traveler. Extra beach towels and fruit from the property were nice touches. I also appreciated the loan of snorkeling gear. You will have your pick of gorgeous local beaches nearby. Note to future guests: this property is located 2 miles up a steep, winding road from the main road, so it won't work for anyone traveling to the N. Shore by bus. And I do not recommend driving up this road for the first time after dark (as I did).

I had a lovely stay here and the host Annegret was great! She made me feel welcomed and at home right from the jump. She also brought me fresh bananas. This little piece of heaven is perfect for solo travels as well as couples (or two people). If your party is larger, she has more rental options. Rarely heard any neighbors on site and the neighborhood overall was quiet and everyone was kind. The grounds are really pretty and I enjoyed the kitty cats and chickens roaming around and they were never a bother in any way. The shower is amazing!! Highly recommend this rental!!

I had an amazing week long stay at this property. The room was perfect for me by myself, but would also be great for a couple. Anne and her family were the most gracious hosts and made sure I had everything I needed in order to have a great time. I would highly recommend booking through them, looking forward to staying with them again in the future!! Thank you Anne for putting so much of your heart and soul into what you do and providing this beautiful space to stay in.

The host and her husband are absolutely amazing they go above and beyond. They property is gorgeous the pictures do not do it justice at all. The neighborhood is beautiful and mostly quiet you can occasionally hear the luau but it doesn't bother you it's quite pleasant after a long day on the beach. Will be staying again 10/10 rating across the board.

Kind host and beautiful property
Annegret was very accommodating and kindly checked in on us to make sure we were doing okay. The unit was very clean and well equipped for our stay. The porch and dining nook looking out to the garden was a bonus!

Recommend Staying - Getaway for Two
We loved our stay here! Close to the beaches, food trucks, grocery store. The apartment looked just as expected from photos - cute, clean and cozy. We travel light and this was perfect for the two of us. Annegret was a wonderful host, easy to contact and talk with. We had a couple rainy days on our trip and she was right there, able to make suggestions and help us find some rainy day activities on the island. And the cherry on top - we had freshly picked bananas waiting at arrival. If we make it back to the island we would stay again in a heartbeat!

Excellent Place to Stay
The property is a little gem and the hosts are really friendly.
Place is spotless. Great suggestions for places to eat etc
Hope to come back in the future and wouldn't consider anywhere else to stay on the North Shore!

Small space and not private
Since the small space has no air conditioning, having the windows open makes for less privacy and waking from every noise around, people coming and going, roosters crowing at 4:30am, dog scratching to get into main house and yelping when left outside for too long, kids crying in the middle of the night and not getting consoled within minutes, laundry hours of 9am to 9pm not respected by other tenants. We wanted a place to rest at night, so We could see my Son and his family during the day. It was cute, nice landscaping and location but not what we needed after traveling for 12 hours or even just the day, we averaged 4-5 hours of sleep a night, due to constant interruptions.

This studio was perfect and fresh. Great for us (a couple) wanting a quaint, safe place to stay.
Great! Anna was an awesome host who made us feel very welcome on the property. We loved this studio.

Showing up to the property was beautiful, breath taking views and super close
To the beach, local grocery store, and taco shops. However I was not aware that this place DOES NOT have AC! I repeat this place does not have AC! That was my fault I assumed everyplace had AC since I am from Phoenix, AZ. With no AC all windows are kept
Open to catch the trade winds, but that also means you can hear your neighbors who stay in another room down the way and also the security lights that come on every time you walk by the front or to the side of the house to do laundry. Also Wifi was very weak, good luck sending text messages with T-Mobile or Verizon. Property also has chickens so be prepared for clucking. Besides all that our stay was nice. We got used to the humid weather, the lack of strong Wifi and the chickens were sort of cute in a weird way. There is also a black kitty on property who is super cute and friendly. The location is far from Honolulu, but you should already be aware of that. This location is out in the country which I knew before booking and I wanted my mom to experience Hawaii for its beauty away from the city. The help we got from Autumn and her husband was very much apprecited and was able to assist us w/ an extra blanket and fixing the restroom sliding door. There was some confusion about the key to lock the place, but eventually we did get a key. Parking is free, you can park on property. Washer is 2.00 dollars, dryer is free. There are boogie boards, beach chairs, beach towels and snorkeling gear to use for free out on the patio. Communication w/ property owner was easy and quick. I would recommend this property if you enjoy the country, the simple, quietness of Hawaii and also for the gorgeous views. The property itself is beautiful, clean and organized and located on top of a hill. I would definitely stay again, alone or w/ a bf, not my mom! Lol thanks for
Having us miss Annegret 💖💖💖

Perfect bungalow for a north shore stay on Oahu
This charming bungalow is a short 10 min drive from popular north shore beaches like Waimea Bay and Ke Iki/Sunset Beaches. Skip the long drive to/from Waikiki and stay here instead.
The bungalow is set between two large houses, but is fenced off for privacy on both sides. The place is cozy, suitable for a single guest or a couple. The bed is comfortable and the bathroom is newly redone. The kitchen space is functional but lacks a stove; there’s only a microwave. There’s a TV, but the cable box was not working during our stay. There is no A/C but we were gone from morning to evening, and the elevation on the mountain means the place cools off reasonably well at night; the ceiling fans help. The patio has a nice breeze for a drink in the evening.
The host is pleasant and communicates promptly. Her neighbor is very helpful as well.
